Small deposits vs Big deposit

Im a small stakes player, deposits from £5/£10 to £20 a time, but could be several a week, spins around 25p/30p to 50p to odd time i done a £1(not often or long).

But getting bored with small wins(£20 to £90) from my deposits and usually wouldn't win often anyway. so got me thinking is it worth saving those deposits to make 1 big deposit at say £500 and try my luck at £3+ a spin.

1) It makes it more exciting
2) If you hit a win it will be a big win, not like winning £20 off 30p spin.......

Just once i'd love to hit a £1000+ win off a spin, or play for a major jackpot.

What are peoples views on this, and also what slots are good for £3+ a spin

Plus interested in any views of players who constantly bet £3+ a spin

As anyone here can tell you you could lose a 1K bankroll betting $3 a pop and never once see anything substantial.

Just dep and bet what you can afford to lose.
If anything, once up, use the 'extra' to chuck in a few bigger spins, as long you're fully prepared to lose them.

I see where you are coming from. Maybe 100 quid deposits and play 2 quid per pop is a good compromise. Min bets are not thrilling over a longer period of time.

imo, that's terrible advice if you're previously a lowroller....you can bet WELL under a dollar to see a 1K on doa if that's your goal.
Otherwise for a 'look-see' you may as well toss the cash out the window and watch it flutter away

With a £500 bankroll I wouldn't go near a major jackpot. I think you'd be something like 99.9% odds on to lose.

For a £3 spin you would struggle to make a 1k hit on any netent slot. It can of course happen but it's more unlikely than likely.

In terms of getting your 1k win - DOA springs to mind as does zombies and wild water (from personal experience).

If you want some irresponsible advice - go £10 a spin on either wonky rabbits or space wars. Both can drop big from nowhere...but be warned...it works both ways and you could be £500 lighter in less than 5 mins and those £90 wins might not seem so bad after all

Perhaps an alternative idea is you just play those £90 wins a bit more aggressively and see how it works out.

Also go and watch some streams by letsgiveitaspin on twitch. His usual roll is £500 and he spreads it across lots of slots so a good place to get some ideas.

yeah thats what i meant , people here show 2000x-5000x on DOA

i personally do £1+ spins thats what i meant, did not mean to confuse

my fav slot is still rainbow riches, but 500x is realistically what youd get as a maximum in the bonus

I think a bigger deposit works sometimes but I have won over 1,000 on a $20 deposit before. You just have to be lucky. My bet sizes are usally 9 - 36c on Doa and sometimes I bet 45c and done well on them.

I think betting 3.00 or higher will go too quick if that is all that you bet but would not hurt to bet that now and then.

Once I accidentally bet $10 on Starburst forgetting to reduce bet size and won $80 from one spin lol

I agree with that one but wont advise on bank rolls bet sizes etc as its a personal choice. I could not justify upping my 50p to £1 per spin (only a little higher if im winning )
as in the past I have lost 100000000s betting higher stakes and me playing within my limits is a must these days. When I start to get bored with min or near min bets
I lay off for a while as I am doing again now apart from micro deposits at video slots. All my deposit limits at the other casinos I play at are set to below min deposit amount.

but each to there own . Suppose in the end you could just go for it with one big deposit but if you win it could be tempting to try repeat
and if you loose it can suck.

Personally, I'd feel rotten if I deposited $500 in one go and lost it all in minutes.

I feel bad enough when I lose that much from "winnings"

I do up my bets when ahead most times, there have been times it has worked very well for me.

If you like bonuses, huge ones carry big playthroughs, and casinos often frown (and quite frequently have terms) that prohibit you from grinding.

If you deposit $50, and get to $250 cashout, that's usually pretty good. If you deposit $500, are you going to cash out at $700? Also, keep in mind many casinos have a 1x wagering on deposits, so if you hit $500 in first few spins, you might have to make quite a few more and not do much more than break even.

I rarely deposit as low as $20, as I don't usually cash out at $100, and far too often it's gone in a flash.

I find a $50 deposit you can usually make 60 cent bets pretty comfortably, and move it up if you get a few bucks ahead. Get a match and you can bet $1 or so and still have some staying power on most games.

With the exception of twice, all my big wins have been on deposits of less than $100. Including my life-altering 100K one this January.

If you have $500 a month the deposit, I'd break it into maybe $50 at a couple of casinos twice a week instead of $20 daily.

Best time to high roll is after you have cashed out some IMO.

Even if you only deposit $20, if you get $50 ahead you can play 10 spins or so at $3, and keep playing that bet size as long as you don't lose more than $30.

It's hard to lower your bets once you are playing bigger stakes. I pretty much have to switch games to do so.

One thing that I've done in the past, that has come through a few times, but undoubtedly now as often as it's failed, is to wager the last $20 at $2 a pop. There's a couple of screenshots over the years on Spectacular Wheel of Wealth with the top wheel prize of $1000 on my last few bucks.

I think that is just a FAR too big a jump to make - you're talking about depositing 25x your normal maximum

Everyone has different views, but personally I am a low-variance guy; I have been known to deposit £500 at a time (NEVER more), but unless the game is low variance, I wouldn't bet £3 per spin.

I think you should maybe consider a deposit of around £100 - with a 100%+ match bonus if possible - then just play the slots you normally like at higher than your usual bets.... and pray!

Equal chance of hitting whether that be £500 or £50 quid deposit . its a shit or bust thing, if online is truly random the stakes do not matter , same as if a player is playing live roulette at 50p & another at £5 quid a number. at least in live roulette or cards the software doesn't know your stakes.

The only difference is bank roll cranking in far more spins which can help out riding the dead patches as such but still again no guarantee your come up with the goods at the end of that either.

Best choice is to bet your way with a bank roll you can afford this is the most important bit.

It depends how much you can afford to lose. Because chances are you can make 50x3 quid bets and still get nothing.. Whereas if you hit a big multiplier, the winnings will be quite big even for a 20-30p spin.
Personally, I am quite a risk-averse player, I've tried doing 1EUR spins but after 5-6 unsuccessful spins in a row I stop because I get frustrated seeing my cash diminishing at this rate.

£20 - £50 deposits indicate that the player is a lowroller and bets relative to that amount. To suddenly deposit £500 and do big bets makes sense at the time but can leave a bad aftertaste when busting out, especially as that could have bankrolled about 15 'normal' sessions.

I think part of the challenge with slots especially has always been walking away with as much as is feasible from a tiny deposit, at least for me. So depositing £500 and cashing out £600 doesn't really do it for me and is not worth the stress.

Building up a balance via incremental betting is the best part, and kicking myself when opportunities are missed from having the wrong betsize at the wrong time - a personal favourite.

This is where fair bonuses can often prove useful as I'll happily bet much higher than I would normally. So were I to accrue £300 from a £20 deposit, I'll know that WR is small and should I bust, at least I only lost £20. Much more preferable to doing big bets straight from the outset and achieving the same miserable outcome.

I'd lose sleep if I'd lost a wad of cash in record time. When it's the casino's money I'm squandering, I'll sleep like a particularly tired koala.
