Notice the term is OFFER and not FORCE, which is the wording they should use. Ludicrous. = /

THATS WHY I DIDNT WANT BONUSES

They are the ones "manipulating an unfair advantage". Anyone foolish enough to take their manditory "10% deposit bonuses" is an idiot. Why would anyone depositing say $50.00 want to have to comply with these playthrough requirements for a lousy $5.00? The fact that taking the bonus is mandatory plus the notice regarding BONUS ABUSERS, indicates how unethical they are. How can you be a Bonus Abuser when you are FORCED to take the bonus everytime you deposit.

They shouldn't just be rouged, they should be shut down

Can't believe this casino is listed everywhere as APPROVED!!!

    Bonus amounts

100% is the INITIAL DEPOSIT BONUS, WELCOME BONUS

Then they give you 10% bonus on every deposit. That is what I didn't want. They added the welcome bonus on my first deposit even though I said I didn't want it. So before I made an additional deposit in 1/06 I emailed support and they agreed not to credit anymore bonuses on my deposits.

Then my account was deactivated because I had not logged in for so long. When I had it reacitivated they refused(per chat above) to not give me the 10% bonuses

Also, they will add "special bonuses" that you did not claim. They also won't remove the bonus even if you have not played your deposit yet

See the chat: the email I received in Jan. 2006 says they would set up my account so I would not receive deposit BONUSES.

then he says the email I got was incorrect.

    Thought as much.

I thought I recognised those odd looking rules, and I was right, it's a Winward clone.
Perhaps if you tell them you are a bonus abuser they might find a way to set up the account to not receive them:D
A better idea would be to not play here, Winward occasionally have payment issues, and have gone downhill since I took their SUB and doubled my dollars:D
Their bonus system is quirky, but if you are patient it is possible to "do" the bonus in an advantage kind of way (the quirk is similar to one at the long defunct "Lucky Chance" casino - pity they had cheating software though). Once done, don't bother with the 10% regular ones.

I like the use of the greengrocer's apostrophe, especially in the word "criteria's". It just shows what a classy place this casino is.

HOW CAN YOU BE MADE TO ACCEPT BONUSES?

Am I missing something here? Have any of you ever ran across a casino that REQUIRES YOU TO ACCEPT DEPOSIT BONUSES OR ANY BONUS FOR THAT MATTER?

The most important reason I posted my chat with slotvillage support was due to the supervisors claim that they DO NOT ALLOW UNBONUSABLE ACCOUNTS.

In other words if I want to deposit and play there I HAVE TO ACCEPT THEIR BONUSES!

Obviously this immediately reduces my odds of winning as I have playthrough on my deposits and because of the way the have made a big deal of BONUS ABUSERS and due to their T&C I do not want the bonuses.

It is highly unethical to force bonuses on players in my opinion.

If you have played there would you please post your experience of bonuses being added to your account including whether you wanted the bonuses.

Most casinos will allow you to have the bonus removed prior to playing your deposit or the bonus. NOT THEM

THEY SHOULD BE CALLED ON THIS BY CASINOMEISTER TO CHANGE THEIR TERMS OR BE ROUGED

Please don't take this the wrong way... but...

If Bryan was to rogue EVERY casino that had T&C's that pissed off some players, well, you do the math.

What you are discussing here is a business practice that you DISAGREE with, which is 180 degrees from fraudulent business or deception. The latter should definitely be rogued, the former simply should be avoided.

What I don't understand is this... you clearly understand their rules now. They require a bonus to be attached to EVERY deposit (if I'm reading this right). That attached bonus then requires a play through, which obviously is a disadvantage for a long-term customer. If you don't like this type of relationship, DON'T DEPOSIT THERE.

There are plenty of complaints ongoing, where the issue -might- involve some sort of fraud or deception. Some of those posters are screaming ROGUE THEM! Yet, it has to be investigated first. If found to be leaning towards the player's side, the casino must be given the opportunity to make it good. Several failures at making things good will eventually lead to the Rogue List.

Other complaints are just simply that a player disagrees with a casino's business practice. If this business practice is not concealed or fraudulent in nature, some are still screaming ROGUE THEM! This cannot be done... adding casinos to the rogue list for such things diminishes our consumerism and diminishes the power of this website. The Rogue List should be reserved for the worst of the worst, the thieves. It should be a list that NO reputable casino would want to be added to; it should have real teeth. If casinos viewed the list as 'oh, Bryan adds EVERYONE to that list.. no big deal.' then the list in fact becomes no big deal.

We expect casinos to be proper businesses. If we disagree with a particular business practice or rule, then we should take our money ELSEWHERE, warn others before they plunge in, and that should be the end of it.

Casinos expect us to be proper consumers. If we run around screaming and yelling all of the time, and constantly telling them that they should run their businesses the way WE feel fit, then we all start looking less than credible. We absolutely MUST retain credibility as a community in order to deal with the casinos that are truly thieves. Especially right now.

Take a good look at your post title. You are calling them 'unethical'. That term is synonymous with illegal in most people's minds. In other words, it's a VERY STRONG label or accusation. It might have been more politically correct to have titled it "Beware of bonus terms at Slotsvillage!" or similar. In your situation, you make the claim that a casino employee cleared you to make a deposit WITHOUT incurring a bonus, but then was told by another employee that this is not possible, and that the other employee was misinformed. Is this NOT possible? Because in my eyes, it clearly IS possible. It might be LIKELY that you were tricked, but since it IS possible an employee made an error, you've a long road to establish fraud.

Say for example I call Home Depot and get a price on a new ceiling fan. I am quoted $49.95 for the model I am looking for. The employee on the phone tells me, "but if you wait, that fan is going on sale starting Monday, and will be $39.95" I wait, and on Monday I show up, the fan is listed as $49.95. I inquire with customer service. They inform me the employee was MISTAKEN. The fan was on sale for $39.95 LAST WEEK, and the sale ended Sunday night. I'm angry of course... and talk with the manager. Now it's his call... will he sell me the fan at the sale price based on my word that an employee promised me something? What happens if the manager chooses to not sell me the fan at the sale price? Do I stand out in front of Home Depot with a sign that says "UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES HERE!"? No. I would look like a lunatic. I just simply do better homework next time.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is what you do for yourself up front. One thing I didn't get from your chat log... you stated (regarding the first employee) "guy I chatted with said he was making sure I would not receive a deposit bonus and would email me after he accomplished this", yet you never said whether that confirmation email ever came. If it did, it would help us here, and should be submitted to a casino manager for review. I think there's a lot of work to be done here before rushing them to the Rogue list, but I do appreciate the information you have provided and won't be recommending Slotsvillage to anyone.

I SEE YOUR POINT AND YOU ARE CORRECT

I forgot that the majority of players WANT bonuses, and would not be bothered by the fact that they have no choice to reject them.

Personally, this is the first casino that I have ran across that does not give you the choice. " we do not allow unbonusable accounts".

Perhaps unethical was too strong a term, SHADY business practice might have been a better away to explain it.

Either way, they are stacking the cards against you from the minute you deposit YOUR money. Also, given the fact that bonuses are forced on you, I can not possibly see how they can claim ANY player a bonus abuser. I do think that would be unethical in the world of online casinos.

I would like to know if anyone from the Forum has been labeled a Bonus Abuser by this Group.

    Keith,

when I first set up my account last year I got and email stating that it would be set up so that I WOULD NOT receive bonuses, and I never did. I didn't play there again for quite sometime and my account was deactivated, so the "guy" I chatted with said that he thought I might receive a bonus on my Deposit after he reactivated it, so he was going to make sure it was set up correctly so that I wouldn't get a bonus... but it was taking him so long I told him to just email me when he finished. He never emailed me. So the next day I chatted with support again. This time I was told they didn't allow unbonusable accounts, that I had been misinformed. Either they changed there policy since I initially opened my account with them or he and his supervisor are unknowledgeable and had no clue how to set the account up not receive automatic bonuses.Personally I suspect the later but given the fact I emailed the chat to support with me objection to the practice and received no response, WHO KNOWS

There is no mention that I find stating unbonusable accounts not allowed, as far as I can see.
