Hi Guys,

A really valuable lesson was learnt today.
Well, I have learnt this earlier but I made a mistake by not reading the T&C.

Long story short, I am a regular player at Slotsmagic (don`t ask why...I can`t explain) and deposit/play/lose weekly on their site.
Currently they are running this 25 free spins per day promotion. The other day I deposited some money played and lost. Before I left I used up my free spin offer and converted my loyalty points so I got like $7-8 to play with. For me it is extremely low my average deposits are ~$100.

I started to play with the Steaming pile of shit Tower and the game was hotter than Jessica Alba and Megan Fox fighting for me naked in a pool of melted butter. I had features after features and ran my balance above $300.
As an avid gambler I kept playing, had ups and downs and I decided to withdraw $200.

I was totally oblivious to the fact that there would be cap on my withdrawal as I just thought I needed to play through my winnings on the 25 freespins (was something like $2-3) so I was happy. Yes my fault, you don`t have to remind me. :)

My withdrawal wasn`t cleared in 24 hours so I contacted live chat and checked with them. The person on the other end checked my account and said it was all sweet and the moolah should be processed in the next 24 hours.
I was happy chappy.

And then the email this morning arrived.

"Hello ****,

I tried calling you today but I couldn't reach you.
I'm contacting you to inform you that while the payments department were checking the withdrawal you requested, they noticed you were in breach of our bonus policy.
As per our Bonus terms and conditions, if you received a free bonus (no deposit bonus/refer a friend bonus/registration bonus/winnings from free spins etc.) the maximum you can win is 100.
As you have won 200 from free spins we have removed 100 and sent the other 100 back your card ********.
Please take the time to read our bonus policy, which you can find here. It’s important to know the conditions of the bonuses.
We are always here to help you, so if you have any questions or if you need anything, please don't hesitate to contact us.
"

I had to laugh as of course the guy has never tried to call me. I had no missed calls on my mobile and I guarantee I would have waken up if he`d called the land line as the phone is right next to my bed.

Oh well, as i said I don`t expect anything out of this, it was my mistake not being careful...and taking any kind of bonus/freespins at all.
Just wanted to remind all newbies and non bonus takers that we need need to be very vigilant and make sure we are aware of the terms we are playing under.

By the way, Guts was fantastic the other day, their customer service was outstanding. Wow, just wow.

Take care guys and good luck out there!

Stewie

If you still continue to play there, watch out for the following scenario:

You deposit and get FS but no match bonus. You play FS first so now you have deposit+ winnings from FS. If you happen to win and try to withdraw, they limit your withdrawal to $100 again despite your original deposit being there as well.

I almost feel like the FS'es they give out are designed to trap the player to the max cashout of a $100. $100 max cashout is lame but I know a lot of casinos do it so I've gotten used to it, but when they limit your withdrawal because of a few $ win on top of your original deposit .. that's just bs.

Yeah, lucky it was such a small amount.
Just imagine if I`d have a 5 scatter on DoA or a wildline or something big.
I would kick myself now to death. :D

The max cash out rule stink but hey, we vote with our feet and that is what I am going to do.

Hi,

I don't know about this casino but I can't resist commenting on

a phrase you used.

"""Long story short......."

My future daughter-in-law uses that line constantly.............

IT IS NEVER, EVER A SHORT STORY!

So, now every time I see it, I automatically gauge the story to see

if it IS short!

It wouldn't be so bad but she is a wee thing, but her voice is huge!

It carries throughout the house, but mostly, it hurts my ears as

many other things do.

How am I suppose to ask her to lower her voice without offending?

Hahahahahaahaha, gold!

I think the cashout cap only applies if the free bonus is higher than your balance. But your scenario could happend if you get lucky and win over the deposit on the freespins I guess.

Hmmmm, the weird thing is that I haven`t really used a bonus as such...well obviously my tiny win from the Hot Wheels freespins were considered as such. :)

At the end of the day it is not a bid deal, no real harm was done, they just took away $100 winnings from me and it is lucky it wasn`t more.
Regardless on what slot would I have won that more....

Anyways, thanks for pointing out that I have to pay real attention on what slots to play or not play in a case like taking free spins in the future.

Yea nothing like withdrawing 1.2K and receiving 100 and rest are gone. The scenario I wrote above is based on real experience at Slotsmagic's sister casino where I got free spins on top of my deposit, played them somewhere during the playthrough of the deposit .. So not at the start, but not at the end either, and then when I tried to withdraw 1.2K I only got 100€ based on max withdrawal rule. Such bs! Never playing the FS again before I've used my deposit completely ..

I have similiar scenario at a sister site and after a couple of emails payed the full amount with an apology. It relates to there definiton of "free spins" they cut me short on one of them deposit and get 100% + 50 free spins. I never use the free spins before the money has gone as it just marks up the wagering with even a small win . Needles to say i lost and about a week later logged in to that annoying free spins pop up . I played them won a small amount then somehow managed to get up to approx 500 english poonds. everything seemed to go ok withdrawel wise until the email of death exactly the same as your . i sent in two emails relating to this the major argument being that they should not be classed as free spins as in my case i could not have possibly received them without depositing removing any 100 cap attached.

this was the sent email

Subject: Confusing terms to bonus

Firstly can you provide me with a copy of your operator disputes procedures. ?

simple facts.. the free spins received were part of a depositing bonus . i have the email regarding this. For any free spins to have a max cashout out cap of 100 the free spins must be part of a NON depositing bonus . the only way i could have received the spins is through depositing as this was the offer in the email.

see below. im not disputing this is your terms but these do not match the criteria for the spins i received as it was a depositing bonus that also included some free spins. KEYWORD DEPOSITING. I have asked via phone and email for a management member to contact me but my emails are routed to customer support .
Your terms below
If you receive free money (no deposit bonus/refer a friend bonus/registration bonus etc’) or free spins winnings, unless stated otherwise the maximum amount that you can win or withdraw from it is £100 or two times the bonus amount. The larger amount of the two will be applied. Any winnings greater than the applied amount, including winnings subsequently won from with that money even after any deposit, will be removed from your account..
