I've been playing Desert Nights for quite a while, and recently switched to Slotocash. I normally have no issues with them, and though I haven't cashed out, I have twice been in a position to cash out several grand, but didn't. (Don't fall asleep with Autoplay on without a downside limit!!!!)

Anyways, Not having a current list of promotions, I asked live chat for the best deposit options available for a $200 deposit. I was offered 200%, 30 something wage requirement, no max cashout, and immediately sent western union, played, lost, no big deal. I then got a popup message inviting me to ask for 10 free spins. Figuring this was part of the promotion, I went to chat and asked, and was told they have to call me...RED FLAG....ok, so I take the call....

I'm told that they have a bonus code for 300% plus 10 spins, 25x play. Now, if they would have told me that upfront, I might have deposited more upfront, but even still. When a player specifically asks what bonus options are available, in my book it is wrong to call after play is complete and mention something better. I thought converting my bonus to the 300% offer by adding $200, bringing back the required playthrough remaining upon me finishing play originally and adding the proper amount of playthrough requirement would be fair. They disagreed.

Sad part is I was eating lunch when they decided they had to call me to give me 10 free spins. I was preparing to western union them again. I consider this to be improper treatment enough to take my gambling dollars elsewhere for a week or two and let others know to be aware of their tactics. I will be back, but when a player specifically asks what promotions are available, I believe they should be told then. What do you think???

The only decision I have to make is whether this is THE most ridiculous complaint I've heard for years, or ever.

Sorry. I know you're new, but this is really silly.

Have you thought that perhaps the 300% bonus was tailored specifically for you because you lost the $200 deposit? Like, maybe they were offering you something that is not available to anyone else?

You should be thanking them for personal service, instead of going off half-cocked without thinking the matter through.

That would make sense if I hadn't been told that the bonus had been available before but the live chat agent wasn't aware of it. Yes, I had considered that option, and even opened the conversation to them taking that road out.

this has nothing of complaint IMO and there´s nothing here to be aware of.

they called you to offer better bonus and free spins
i am not seeing nothing wrong on it

I don't know, I think this is a reasonable "complaint" that the OP has made... and he wasn't going off "half cocked," he was merely asking a question in which I don't think he should be condemned for.

I too would ask that question. Obviously, the op is a regular depositor so why wouldn't they have given the best bonus they could upfront rather than waiting till they lost their money to offer them a better one?

Granted, I can't tell you the reason they did this nor can I say whether what they did was right or wrong, but I will say that I do agree with questioning this kind of tactic.

The fact that they offered you this promotion on the phone likely means that they did it just for you and it's not part of the general promotions. The promo wasn't available until after you lost your $200, so they couldn't have offered it to you before.

Because the bonus didn't exist or he wasn't eligible yet? It's similar to a Bad Luck Bonus.

Not true, I was playing a tourney when I also got a pop up that said come to chat to claim your free spins and when I went to chat they asked if they could call me. I said ok and was offered the same bonus as the op but I declined as I felt a bit miffed about the tactic. I also want to add that this particular bonus was available in the lobby and I had already seen it.

I still play sloto so got over it rather quickly:)

I apologize then. It is, indeed, a bit shameful to not mention it if it was available for everyone in the lobby.

Although if it was displayed in the lobby for everyone to see, why didn't the OP see it?

Is it possible that because the OP just recently started playing there that the promotion wasn't available to them yet...?

Seriously though, if you're bothered by it contact the Sloto rep and ask - she's really good at keeping players happy.

I believe I had left out a key piece of information. The promotions are typically the same week to week, but the codes change. I simply didn't have the email with that weeks codes. It appears the email was delayed for some reason, as the next day I got the offer list which included the code the live chat rep gave me as well as other better options.

Being in the US, customer service is even more important as it requires trust between both parties to allow for deposits without chargebacks, and payouts on essentially an honor system. A quick search of emails shows 27 deposits to this group with no withdraws, I believe I have deleted some of the confirmations. They have never provided any special codes or offers, which I don't take issue with, just mentioning to rebuff the criticism on my post. It is my belief that they could have saved a customer by converting the offer, with extreme minimal risk (again 27+ deposits, no withdraws), but they have chosen not to even admit they could have provided better service.

Precisely my point... I was unable to find the list of current codes, and I questioned the offer, but figured as a regular depositor with no withdraws we had matching incentives to sell me the highest bonus for the highest price. I have a history that shows I like to bet stupid, regardless of being up or down. I view it has entertainment unless I hit something that even I would admit I would be stupid to not take. The better offers were there the entire time.

I don't play any casinos anymore. It has nothing to do with sloto or the others that I was playing at. I like to play online but the cost of playing now and the returns are what bothers me the most. Charging me twice for a deposit, charging for a withdrawal, limits on the withdrawal, don't know if you're going to get paid if you do withdraw and no recourse if they decide not to pay.

I'll just go to Hardrock in Tampa if I need to play and due to that huge upgrade they did over a year ago it's not worth going over there but once a month or every other month. I guess times are hard for all casinos..land based and online.

I'd leave those bonuses alone if I were you as they are there to make it a little harder for you to win.

I missed this thread but I can confidently say that there are so many promos sent out (message box, email) that live chat are sometimes unaware of the various terms or who they are for. Several weeks ago I also noticed a popup to ask live chat and a specific guy for 10 free spins. I didn't bother so don't know what would have transpired.

My advice to slotocash and Desert Nights would be to get the specific terms and conditions right. WRs are sometimes printed wrongly and offers by email are not communicated to live chat staff. The min. deposit is sometimes not in tandem as that in the message box. They seem to simply throw the codes out hastily without checking whether they are in order. This would result in players being misguided and arguments with support staff could ensue. Yeah, these promos are well-liked by players and they have to counter competition from CW who offers daily promos as well. However, CW staff are rarely wrong.

MrMark,

The ones I have used are deposit and bonus x wagering and they are sticky.

Hilda,

A month or so ago only around half of the bonuses were sticky. They messed up the whole thing and intended to make everything sticky but forgot to add the word sticky so to the player those without this term simply assumed they would continue to be not sticky and cashable.

For RTG bonuses wagering is bound to be in terms of bonus + deposit. I believe Inetbet used to have the best offers ie 20x(b+d) and cashable whereas slotocash is currently the worst with them normally at 30-35x(d+b) and uncashable. CW is somewhere in the middle as wagering is 20-25 x and sticky. Beware the table games though as they could contribute as little as 50% to WRS though all games are allowed.

For Slotocash, to avoid confusion I suggest you change the general terms to 'all bonuses are sticky unless otherwise specified'.

Perhaps on your offers lobby that comes up when players login with current offers?

Something like "All bonuses are non-cashable unless otherwise stated".

If it is listed in the bonus rules, then it really SHOULD be enough, because players are expected to keep up to speed with those rules as part of their account creation agreement. However, some like to be spoon fed so putting something a little extra in there won't hurt.

When the RTG casino was first launched all bonuses were sticky. Then they split them into sticky and non-sticky ones. Where bonuses were sticky they stated so explicitly and where they didn't insert the word 'sticky' they were cashable and they were not deducted from the withdrawal. I am sure the buy $25 get an extra $75 fell into this 'non sticky category. The $75 was not deducted until one day they decided to do so. This was a monthly promo with the same terms ie $1k max cashout and 30 x wrs and later changed to 35x wrs. Now with a promo that is regularly dished out who can suddenly know that the bonus becomes sticky when its not attached with the word. Some other bonuses are attached with the term 'sticky' In fairness to them they decided to honour the final withdrawal though they have now inserted the term 'sticky'. In any case, its a case of having too many promos and abrupt changing of terms for ongoing promos. If you are used to the same promo day in and day out players will take for granted that its just a change of code and nothing really changes.
