Hello, I want to share my recent experience with these two casinos. I just recently made some deposits on slotland only to find that they have a mandatory "match bonus" which basically doubles your deposit. Now right offhand that sounds good, but be advised you have to complete the wagering requirements before a withdrawal can be requested. I asked the live chat support if you had to accept the bonuses and he said yes they were automatically added and could not be taken off nor could you request them to not be added. Sounds real fair huh. So after spending 100 bucks here I finally just wrote them off. Be advised that if you choose to deposit at slotland you can kiss your deposit good bye because you will have an up hill battle right from the start with their bullshit bonus requirements. So off to winaday casino where immediately I liked the layout and the slots seemed to be more affordable than their sister site slotland. So I made a modest deposit of 25 dollars and noticed my account said 80 dollars so I thought here we go again another "match bonus" that I did not claim. So I went to live chat and asked what the terms were with the bonus and what she said next almost made me fall off my chair. She said I had to wager 1,800 more dollars before I was elligible to cash out. I said are you serious, I never even claimed this bonus. She said the same thing as slotland that the bonuses were added automatically and was part of the deal more less. I never in my life have been to a online casino where you were given a mandatory bonus with insane wagering requirements before you can cash out. It is my belief that this is absurd and nothing short of a scam. I warn all players to stay away from this deceitful scheme. I'm just glad I wasted just 125 dollars.

So you got screwed over on one site - and thought, oh well let me check out their sister site to see if they'll do the same?

You must either really adore their proprietary games, or have the strongest case of "curious George" syndrome i have ever heard of :) Such a wide choice of accredited casinos to pick from...

Yeah, above sounds like a total rip-off. I've never heard of a mandatory bonus with no option to exclude that ties in your deposited funds into a major turnover. That said, why do it *twice*?? :what::what:

I'm really not sure if they're mandatory (not doubting you) just that they are automatic. The bonus terms on their front page are pretty weak...that, or concise. But they don't say obligatory.
Anyway, personally, I find the games dull as dirt and wouldn't dep there anyway

    curiosity killed the cat.

Yes, I have to say I have no one to blame but myself. The strange thing is I do research on any site before I put money on it and all the reviews on these two casinos seemed to be good. I was really surprised, goes to show you, you can't always trust the "good reviews" it's probably their own site publishing them. Oh well, you live you learn. I just hope to keep others from being sucked in to this blatantly deceitful scheme.

The mandatory bonus (if you can't remove it) is one of the biggest red flags I can think of. Not as bad as the can't withdraw until you clear the wager requirements even though you busted out, and made a fresh deposit. Forget what its called but basically whatever wager requirements you had on your deposit rolls over to future deposits and continues to do so until you clear the wagering, no matter how many times you bust out.

Not sure why this thread surprised me. Did kind of think maybe things had changed in the short time I was gone.

    YES MOST DEFINITLEY MANDATORY

Yes they are mandatory in every sense of the word. That's what really blew me away, i'd never heard of such a thing either. I was told via live chat and by email. You can take my word for it.

Betfair had that after they adopted playtech. Even better - if you take a bonus with your first deposit and bust out, your second deposit TOPS UP the bonus balance, meaning you cant withdraw it even if you decide not to make a single wager. basically a one-way money guzzling machine.

most ridiculous thing i've ever heard of.

instead of taking your word - since it is not advertised anywhere to be the case, do you have anything to back your case up? If it is true and have correspondence to prove it, i don't think they are rogued here - might be worth PABing it so max can take a look.

It sounds extremely predatory, especially if not documented - given you are being truthful that is.

    here you go igor

Sigh, there's always one. Here you go igor if this makes you feel better. Dear Ben,

As I explained you are advised to wager the total of all wagering requirements in your account before you can cash out. However I have forwarded the issue also to our Supervisor. Please wait for his reply.
    Sincerely,

They are an unusual bunch, and their WR are much lower and the game RTPs higher than most other places.

Another significant drawback is that withdrawals are processed once a week, although there is no "pending" as such.

WinaDay has better games than Slotland, even some that look like traditional video slots. However, the mechanism that determines outcomes is NOT what is normally used, but more akin to a scratchcard where the slot displays a predetermined result.

They are in danger of getting left behind by the new wave of multi provider browser based platforms, and in no danger of becoming as "mainstream" as the well known brands (hence the relatively lenient bonus terms).

    To give an example, a 100% bonus has a WR of 20x B + 1x D with an average RTP of 98%

Microgaming have WR between 30x and 50x bonus, and an average slots RTP of 96% (ranging between 95% and 98%).

Non bonus play is possible on some days as if no promos are on offer, only the cumulative cashback bonus gets credited.

If you join Gone Gambling, there is the possibility of up to $165 per month at each of their casinos for deposits of $700 or more at each.

Shamrock (or Ben) - it's not the case of "there is always the one" but from before i became an active member i have seen my own casino suffer at the hands of bogus complaints most frequently made by newbie members out for some blood. I'm not saying that is the case with you, i'm saying it happens and it's not the first time it happened.

As you will notice i did not say your case is valid or that it is not valid, what i did say is that IF you are speaking the truth, you have a case for a legitimate PAB and moreover Bryan and Max should know if predatory terms, or worse: undocumented policies, have appeared on what happens to be somewhat respected casino (i did a quick search on the forums).

Your e-mail does not show any notion of the bonus being mandatory - at best it shows that once bonus is taken, it ties in real funds until the wagering is completed.

I hope that was tongue-in-cheek as there's far more than one. It would be silly for us all to take you at your word. This is hardly a road untravelled for everyone here

I obviously can't speak for Bryan or Max, but not sure what good a PAB would do - the player depped knowing there was a welcome bonus. Sure, it sucks it's mandatory, but the player should have asked prior to depositing, and since the player played the funds, and we wouldn't hear a complaint had they made WR and won, I think that ship may have sailed.
But as for not recommended or rogued, that I can see. Retrieving played and lost funds, I can't

Slotland and Winaday are far from rogue - they've been around for donkey years and have a lot of loyal players who actually like their software - mostly old-timers.

@shamrock7s - if you want someone to do something about your complaint, then please PAB. We can look at this situation and perhpas have the casino review their bonus policies. I was a member there years ago and there was no mandatory bonus with each deposit. Perhaps things have changed - give us a chance to check it out.

I'm just going by the CM standard here:

Must remove any bonus and associated playthrough requirements at the request of the player if play has not commenced.

The rep clearly told me I could not play a straight up first deposit when asked. My Q in the beginning was to the effect of ' Hi, I saw your welcome bonus and it's automatic. Can I just deposit and play the deposit and request the bonus be removed'

    the answer was no

I disagree - the player is required to get familiar with the conditions at which point he may request "real money only" experience. If inability to have that is not advertised clearly, since it is far different to any historically sound B&M offering and what the majority of today's on-line offering consists of, then the player is in the right to request his deposit back - IMHO.

that said, he did go for it twice.

    Just getting the word out

Nah, I'll just write it off as a lesson learned. It was just a 125 bucks which I usually try out on any site before I ditch em or keep em. Just a word of warning to anyone considering playing at slotland or winaday. Feel free to post this thread anywhere necessary to receive as much exposure possible. Hopefully this validates any further complaints I may have in the future.
