My friend and I love a nickname, slang or a play on words for just about anything in life.

Over the last couple of years we have lovingly changed the titles of some slots to suit our experiences or just for a laugh.

I wanted to start a thread for slot slang so I can share some of our slang and hopefully get some new material from the forum.

To start, here's a few off the top of my head we have come up with and the reasons why:

Carnival Spirit - A mix of Carnival Queen and Jungle Spirit. Sung to to the theme tune of Goldmember for some unknown reason. Used to describe a moment when you feed a game too much. In our early days I burnt money on Jungle Spirit and him, more recently, on Carnival Queen.

Book Of Jeff - Jeff is an old boss we both worked for. A character who has become the butt of many a joke for us through life. Hence, Book Of Jeff for Book Of Dead.

Quickskint - Love this, think its apt and I think I heard it from JGSlots.

Grotty - Our name for Sloty Casino

Sorry 'Friend' - Said with emphasis on the 'friend'. My pals way of saying he didnt get the offer we would be discussing. We think he is bonus banned from Casumo as he never gets them and we think their choice of words is funny.

Secret Christmas Party - Name for Secrets Of Christmas. We believe all the Xmas games fund the developers/casinos parties.

Grinder Of The Storm - named as we both feel its a drain on the budget (my opinion may have been changed by this VS battle weekend but the name will stick)

PayFrank - PlayFrank

Tome Of Badness - Need i say more..

Dead On Arrival - the connoisseur's description for everyone's favourite wildline-less game

Microgaining - everyone's favourite provider proving how skilled it is at spitting out 1.5x bonus rounds

"It's a free tournament dear" - shameless lie brought out to mask my gambling from the prying eyes of my nosey missus

Love that, made me chuckle. My pal is always raising the bets a bit when his missus walks out the room.

I think Dunover has a cute nickname for Raging Rhino.. What was it, "The rapper"?

Made me laugh also thinking of a rapping rhino. I know what you meant though. Great name, brutal and to the point. I guess Raping Rhino.

Thanks guys!

Patiently waiting for people's slang for megaways/btg/bonanza ... :D

I think Dunover once again has hit the nail on the head there.
"Meagreways"

Just look at the definition of the word meagre. =)
"
meagre1
/ˈmiːɡə/
adjective

  1. (of something provided or available) lacking in quantity or quality."

Dead or Dead - Dead or Alive has always been the slot where I think I want to have a go and soon after realise how it was a mistake.

Stocky Bandits - I think its funnier to imagine sticky bandits except they are morbidly obese

Hall of the benevolent mountain king - Hall of the mountain king has always treated me fairly. The king is a benevolent god. He will take your money, but reward you for your loyalty also. All hail the mountain king

Nice Thread perhaps this thread will be useful in order to update our current Babelmeister: Gambling Glossary - Casinomeister :D

First time ive seen this glossary. I am steadily picking up the poker slang and i know i could probably search to find similar but i am l somewhat lazy and busy. This is nicely laid out for a quick read.

I did think about terming the thread Slot Dictionary along the lines of the Urban Dictionary but glad you like it anyway.

Some of mine, have loads but kind of getting a mental block right now....

Chocolate Wild - Derived whilst playing Creature from the Lagoon, relation, like a chocolate fire guard, wilds equally useless 99% of the time

3 reel C*unt faced teaser - an expression used regularly, scatters on 1&2 and of course no sign of a 3rd despite REGULARLY having another 3 reels to find it!

Managers back from lunch - A session which starts well, not particularly winning loads but holding the balance and then suddenly no matter which game you try its 0.5x wins till bust.

Local Schools been in the library again - An expression use when I'm trying (And failing) to bonus Book of Ra!

Back when i also got to spin those wheels, i usually got the "winboost" or like 5 spins with next deposit.
Easily the worst reward-wheel ive ever played.

TBH, I got some really good rewards when I was still allowed to play at Rizk.

Plenty of Super Spins at EUR1 and Mega Spins a EUR3, 4 or even 5. Happy days you would think.

Funny part is that I never won 10 bucks from them, not even 5 IIRC. Had once 10MS on JH2 at I think EUR5 a pop and won ZERO! :D

So even getting the best rewards still does not guarantee something in your pocket!

I have hundreds of pet names that I dream up...heres just a few.

Blunderprick
Dead Tiger
BTG Neverpays Mechanic
Royal Skint
Play 'N watch your money Go
Rig Crime Shaming
Pooprint
Blueskint
Murker
Kingtaker
Pain Forest Tragic
Rippy Bandits
Dead or Dead
Book of Debt
Book of Dead Spins
Rigness (Cygnus)
Game of Moans
Immortal Nochance
Mortal Nochance
Scamming Jars
The Bored and The Fail
Money Drain

I remember when Dunover mocked a Quickspin slot, calling it Sticky Ass Bandits. I laughed pretty hard.

My favourite slang word in regards to slots is Slot Zombie. That person at a brick and mortar casino who continually feeds a machine money thinking she will hit the major. I usually go Slot Zombie online in games such as Bonanza.

I have been responsible for about 50% of the abusive and sarcastic slot names and terms over the last several years, mainly due to me reviewing them and instantly giving them a nickname. I am glad my juvenile mindset is now being recognized in earnest. The Turd, Rapist, Meagreways, Twit Spin, Notent, Playtake, Blunderkick, Quickskint etc.

I am going to make a book of 'dunoverisms' in the from of a Gambling Profanisaurus one day.

Surprised you took long to join this thread, being a 'Jedi' and all that lol :p

I considered a thread similar to this a while back but never got around to it, the bloody expressions I've used over the years and the names I come up with, well lets just say a Psychiatrist would soon have me comfortable on their couch!

PS: Will never forget the detailed description, back in your "early days" in one of your very first videos of how a simple side effect of co-codamol became a name for a popular Netent title!

I would buy that....if it was cheap enough of course.

? Pray tell or has it already been mentioned.

One obvious one we have used from the start was...

Sluts - Slots

e.g. Have you been on the sluts lately?

or

Videosluts - Videoslots

Wasnt going to mention that one but the tone has already hit rock bottom, the way slang should i guess.
