I have no idea what the double/split rates should be in theory - I can only guess I would have lost even more had I not split at all. And why doubles aren't even 50% I don't know. Bad luck? Nature of the game?

The most likely reason is that dealer's 22 pushes with everything except BJ.

Was lucky playing Martingale

Played a variation of the Martingale system:

Deposited $100, received $100 as sticky bonus.

$2 deposit - if winning, just start over again with $2
If loosing, double deposit + $1

It can be a hard bargain, but I managed to withdraw $451 after having wagered $1729 ($1600 required), the sticky bonus removed.

I seem to have a problem receiving e-mail from them and vice-versa. Only after reading two_card's post where he said it included a request for ID did I think to call and ask if they wanted same since I never received such a request. Also I never received their "new member" e-mail or an e-mail saying they had put $5 in my account. But when I asked a CSR to mail an e-mail to me while she was on the phone, I got it no problem.

I e-mailed my ID twice to them from my ISP address but they never received either one. I then e-mailed my ID from my registered e-mail address with them (Yahoo) and received an automated reply that they had received it. When I called the next day, they had no record of it, even though I gave them the ID# generated by the automated reply. Something about their "queues" being full or some such nonsense. So I had to send it a 4th time and call them back in 10 minutes and have the very nice CSR gal send it to their finance dept where she said they would approve it quickly. And they did.

CSR was always very nice, a few saying they're real busy and they can't always reply as quickly as promised in the automated replies. Like never in my case.

Anyway I had no problems with the T&C changing after my initial deposit as I originally feared. Guess I was lucky to catch it before they went "sticky".
