Although they've given a warning pop up when logging in. They have been vague about it, and haven't mentioned that it's the RTP which has been reduced.
I've only checked the games which I normally play. But it seems like they've gone for the lowest RTP available.

TSII, for example, is now running at 92.05% down from 96.65% That's a reduction of 4.6% giving them a house-edge of almost 8%.

They won't be seeing any more deposits from me.

Maybe there should now be something about RTP% added to the CM reviews and ratings.
Especially when you've got sites like VideoSlots rated at 9.8, Playojo rated at 9.1 offering the lowest RTP they can
And LvBet rated at 9.5 offering the secondary RTP settings.

There are plenty of accredited casinos who are still offering max RTP but rank lower because of other factors.

I thought it was only playngo that has different rtps. Microgaming and Netent also do such things ?
Actually, alot of providers offer different rtp versions of their slots.

Pragmatic play
Novomatic
Thunderkick
NoLimit city
Red tiger
Netent
Playngo
Microgaming
etc..etc.

List not complete, but those are the ones i could think of right now.
Only way to make sure you are playing at full rtp these days is to check when opening the slot.
And sometimes not even that works, since casinos can display wrong helpfile by mistake*

*Probably not by mistake.

Which 'big' providers are actually one RTP?

  1. Relax
  2. Quickspin
  3. ?

Blueprint
Yggdrasil
Big time gaming
Push gaming (i think)

So there are still a couple of providers out there fighting the good fight.
But its becoming increasingly harder to avoid low rtp.

As about the first 3 of this list, I remind you they are offering their games to italian casinos also, and so it is extremely unlikely they have one RTP setting only.
(never mind what RTP is displayed in the help files on the italian casinos).

I have only seen them with one rtp setting so far atleast, even on casinos like videoslots that use lower rtp for every provider that offers it.

I second having RTP information in CM review pages it could even be factored into their rating score, having reduced RTPs instantly loses them 1 point for example (so VS would be 8.8 instead of 9.8)

RTP settings are now a big factor in my choice of casinos.

I think it will become a factor for more people going forward.
Regulations are slowly and steady removing bonuses, bonusbuys etc, so it will be providers&rtp guiding my deposits going forward.
Used to be i could play all my favorites at videoslots, but now i need to jump around if i want to play red tiger, pragmatic etc on highest rtp setting.
Shame really, because i like everything about vs except the rtp.

VS have excellent promotions and enough 96% games to play but as png are my favorite provider, they are losing potential deposits to other sites so I can play my favorite games.

Totally agree, 4% more profit is very heavy for players in my opinion.
I am saddened to see that even the top casinos use the lowest profiles.

I agree with the RTP settings being factored into the score. I can also see how it could be hard though, as a casino might use Play n Go on 94% but leave the rest at 96. Wouldn't be fair to take 1 point off them and the same off a casino that uses 94 across all possible providers. Then you have the casinos using the 91% setting, they should have more taken off.

Maybe it could be -0.2 for each provider they run at the secondary setting (94%) and -1.0 for each provider at the third setting (91%). But then when you have sly casinos like Videoslots sneaking in changes without telling customers, I can see it being really hard to keep the reviews updated.

Any thoughts @Casinomeister ?

Sadly I think it’s now accepted this behaviour of lowered RTP’s..

reason being it will be a business move, most lucrative also, but it’s a disgrace it’s not more advertised.

only casino from Malta I play at now has full RTP as best I’m aware, that’s the full white hat/caddell group.

also I’ll play at sky Vegas, they don’t have play and go so can’t comment on that at the moment, but I’m pretty sure most will follow the route of lowered RTP as financially it’s pretty massive.

It looks like Microgaming are going through their back catalogue of slots one by one.
Immortal Romance is one of the latest one to have the multiple RTP option treatment.
Obviously, VideoSlots have jumped on it with a 94% RTP.

I find it quite sacrilegious that Classics such as DOA, IR and TSII are being downgraded by Netent and MGS.

MG now can alter RTP? No way?

Reducing payouts on classic games is unbelievingly scummy. DOA, ts2 and immortal romance have all met this fate now.

These 'remasters' are just simply not the same game if the payouts are changed.

Agree some of the old classics have been gimped to high heaven.

oddly had 50 spins on 2 separate sites on ‘secrets of Xmas’ netent classic, not once out of the 100 spins did I get a single tease, thing is the game used to tease for fun.

yes the random brigade will say Random, but as a player over many years it’s clear it’s been gimped...

Yep. LVBet were one of the first to introduce the new MG lower RTP games back in October with the secondary 94% rtp
LV Bet RTP Changes
Although not as bad as Skill on net, who as I mentioned in the OP are running TSII at 92%
Utterly deplorable behaviour.

but the Wild West they all loved and enjoyed for many a year is about done mate so you guess they need to pinch the margins in other areas.

Yeah, and if it wasn't for that 'Wild West' there probably wouldn't have been any need for the UKGC.
