Greetings, folks. So I play a bunch of these "free" online games, and it just seems too easy to win. I know this is a concern of many who want to play online for real ca$h. I'm worried that when it comes to taking the plunge, that the online sites turn the odds around and make it a lot more difficult to win. Yeah, yeah. I read the 10 myths before I posted, but the concern is there and it's very real. So don't shoot me, people. I'm a messenger. I'd love to be told why this is a crappy attitude and that I shouldn't worry.

Well let's put it this way, I never played online simply because I felt the exact same way. I one day about a year and half ago joined bovada and still skeptical I started to play. And I simply noticed that I was actually hitting, sometimes small, sometimes pretty big, sometimes just ok... Then sure sometimes nothing. Since then I've cashed out a nice bit of cash and there were multiple times I squandered money away which could have been other 1k cashouts, 500, etc...

Slots as they're simply known are either aweome when you're hitting or awful when they're not.

I personally view it like this, if you aren't afraid to lose a buck you will win at times and have a lot of fun. Because there's going to be many losses, but it is very, very viable to win and it can be in huge chunks at times. All this is also dependent on how someone plays in terms of loses, when to cash out etc...

I've also hit an RJ for close to 10k, and I was the type who would say nah they'll never happen for me but it actually did.

Just be sure to always have fun. I used to get so worked up when I burned a nice possible cashout but now I just let it roll off my back because I know I'll win it again.

Again. Welcome to the forum. On here you'll find people who think everything is rigged and also those of us who work in the industry (like me) who know it isn't. You have to make your own mind up what to believe.

However on this note I can tell you that both the UKGC and MGA require all free to play slots to use the same maths models as the real money versions.

However, be warned... if you're playing on social casinos they do NOT have to play by the same rules and these can and do behave differently.

So always play at an accredited casino, gamble sensibly and never lose more than you can afford. And if you think a slot is rigged (it won't be) then just stop playing it. There are many to choose from :)

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. I never play slots, though. House edge just too high.

welcome to the forum.
check out the accredited list here at CM. At least you'll know you're playing at legit venues and assuming you follow the Ts and Cs you'll be right as rain.
CM does not officially accredit any USA facing casinos - except those with a US license on his special site (link at top of forum).

Online slots have a much lower HE than in physical casinos - typically 3%-5%.
Although that IS high compared to other casino games - the variance is also much higher. That means on a slot you can win 100x, 500x, 1000x your bet or more from a single spin. You can't do that on Roulette or Blackjack! ;)

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy!

Hey Randolph Jay,

I would say you did not played enough ! Play / test a lot (say at least amass 100k spins in total), keep track of your every session and then see if it feels as easy to win as you think now ?
But be sure you test your luck only at accredited casinos, because the standards here don't allow casinos to use a different house edge for the same game in fun mode vs real money mode !

Keep it Safe,
Denis
