I have lost $2,000 in 2 weeks. NOT 1 CASHIN. Mainly RTG slots and BJ. I shoulda stayed in retirement. Today I bet $500 on a single hand of BJ. I hit my way from hard 13 to 15 to 16 to 20 and still loses to the dealer K+3+8=21.

I honestly see why our government banned this. I am so pissed right now. I dont know what to do. I feel like I was robbed. It like no matter what I do. I lose. I took up a slot offer for $200 with 25X wager requirement. I set it on autospin and stop if I hit $50 at .65 a spin. I left and drove to another state today. And came back I was still spinning with $750 in wagering to complete and a $230 balance. Well when it was finished I had $7.56.

WHY ME??? I CAN'T HIT $HIT TO SAVE MY LIFE. NOTHING!!! I comeout better recycling cans or copper. I FEEL LIKE THROWING THIS DAMN COMPUTER OUT THE FREAKING DOOR!

If you have only spent $2000 in the past 2 weeks, $500 is a pretty big chunk of that. You shouldn't have risked such a large percentage of your bankroll on a single hand. And instead of RTG blackjack, try Microgaming's Vegas Single Deck Blackjack Gold, that is a good game. I'm ahead several thousand dollars today alone from playing that game (and the maximum bet is $200).

I honestly see why our government banned this.
They didn't ban gambling itself, they made it illegal for banks and other companies to allow payments to go through to gambling sites, and they made it illegal for affiliates such as you and I to advertise gambling sites to US citizens.

I have grown to despise bonuses because of the wagering requirements. They make it impossible to do a hit-and-run. You should not play with bonuses.

If giving up is harder than you thought LHM, the new government laws aren't designed to help you with the problem, just to make it harder to get help. Besides recommending the obvious, here's some things you could consider to manage the problem. They worked for me:

As a regular visitor to this site you MUST have seen all the warnings about RTG slots... :what:
The 'switch' has been on for about 2 months now (though SlotsJunkie seems to caught a rare 'off' moment in the last day or two)

I can't really comment on $500 bets - that's about 100 x my BlackJack maximum!
But what I can say is money management (as also suggested by Simmo) is vital in controlling your gambling & maximizing the advantage of bonuses.
I low-roll all the time & make regular income from playing bonuses. If you want to do big bets I agree with the above posters - don't take a bonus.

I'm really sorry about your losses and urge you to step back & think about what you are trying to achieve by gambling. If $2000 is a lot to you (it's a fortune to me!) then maybe a complete stop is your best option.
Best wishes. KK

hiya

Wow......I get nervous when I play a $5 spin on the slots lol. I honestly think this: I hope you don't get offended, Im not here to do that, honestly, I am the kind of person who cant keep my mouth shut when Im passionate about certain subjects. I know nothing about you or how old you are or how long youve been gambling so it may just junk to you what Im gonna say. Just bare in mind, Im saying this because I do care.

1. Betting 1/4 of your bankroll on one bet is not going to get anyone far unless you have so much money and that was just a starter to get your feet wet again from coming back from retirement (im an hour away from atlantic city and see people lose $30K in one hour at the let it ride table when my $60 is still keeping me going in that same hour)Man, I still remember that guy who was betting $500 ($1500 if he let it ride) for an hour and didnt win once. I finally talked him into leaving and playing something else. He offered me his suite becuase he got into a zone and I got him out of it. (I declined but thanked him) He was grateful that I was looking out for him and not wanting anything back, he obviously had alot of money but that doesnt impress me too much since my brother is a very high profile exec

2. If you are on auto play on the same game and leave the house, chances are that machine is gonna peter out before you get back. This is why I get upset at people who say slot players are brainless. Im 44 and started going to atlantic city on a regular basis at age 17. I have NEVER stayed at one machine longer than hitting two decent jp spins. You have to treat this like a real casino and move to different slot machines. I see people at the casino who will kill for "their favorite machine" and stay there all day and lose thousands because they are afraid to move to another one. BIG MISTAKE. If you dont get something decent on the 5th spin, move on. If you leave and someone hits when they sit down, it was meant for them, not you

3. If you are that pissed, than maybe you shouldnt play for awhile. Karma has to be on your side. Noone wins with the attitude of looking for that big hit. Play for the entertainment of it and enjoy it instead of looking at it as work. Auto play is the worst thing that I have ever seen. The ONLY time I use auto play is in a free tournament on superslots and still only do 5-10 at a time and I sit there incase it peters out. I stop and move on and come back

4) I hope your not mad or offended. I just think you need a rest or to rethink how your betting. Like I said, a $500 bet with a $2000 b/r is not gonna get you anywhere!!!

Good luck to you friend

.Lord hve Mercy, (LHM) I know how you feel. I never win playing slots, every once in a while I hit playing Bj (im still a BJ spaz) and Im a sucker for War so you know how that goes....I agree with Babs..playing in hopes of a major win is a killer. Reading how others play with big money tempts us into trying it when we know we shouldnt (not enought bankroll stored, money budgeted ect or we care too much what happens with money budgeted for playing)I have done it too and almost had a heart attack when I lost that big bet..try and put low bets into perspective and play low..a win of $20 on a .20 spin is great! ( I have trouble with this because I have been playing with play money and have become desensitized (sp) and I am willing to risk more of my own money because it.I think this is the one disadvantage of playing for free.. )I know you enjoy playing so shake it off, shoulders back and start low, build your bankroll and you will feel better! Im glad you can blow off steam on this forum..hope it gets better for you.

Hang in there! It will be better tomorrow!:)

LHM,

We are reading the same thing all over again. I dont normally say this but I honestly believe you have a gambling problem otherwise you woudnt be having this urge to bet so large after what you said in previous posts. Come on man, go on a holiday or something.

Definitely calm down or focus on something else for awhile before you go back....I know, for some reason, I NEVER do well if I play out of haste, if I am in a bad or rebellious mood, in a hurry, or when I am playing when I should be somewhere else (i.e. work...yeah, it's happened :o ). And ALWAYS start out with moderately low-mid wager amounts until you see how the game is going, or at least build up that "extra" amount you want to take a chance on, then let loose. Maybe that's just my own silly theory, but worth a try. Hope you do better the next go-around!

Well today I decided to slow roll. I took $20 with 100% offer and managed it up to $340 and cashed out. I promised myself I would no longer deposit no more than $100 to any casino. I like to take 100% offers up to atleast $200. I then like to play $100 on one hand of BJ as my very first bet. And then grit and grind from then out. I took the same $200 at Royal Vegas played 1 hand of BJ (last week) got dealt (2) 8's (very first hand). Dealer showed a 6. I splitted the (2) 8's got 8+3 doubled down got a 4 next 8 got a 2 (8+2) doubled down got a 7 and dealt had 6+3 and drew a 9. I was mad as hail. 1 hand and out. But that's how I usually play 100% match bonus of $200+

Wise move about not going over 100 per signup. You know, you say on 100percents you bet $100 right out of the gate...why dont you try $50 first bet then you have another $50 to play (or not...especially if it seems it was a shady hand.) Just a thought. Good on you to start betting low for awhile. good luck!:)

It's GREAT that you were able to make $340 out of $20...even greater that you stood your ground and cashed out at that point. The $100 first bet seems so risky I cringe like I just had a shot of tequila :D . But more power to ya, especially if you win...

LHM, was that $500 blackjack hand part of a bonus-hustle?

I kind of hope so, because otherwise I would also strongly recommend retirement unless you are the sultan of Brunei.

LHM..again, I know how you feel, yesterday I pulled the plug on my two x-favorite casinos because I just dont like losing there anymore,ya know, when its not fun..run! ..Im following my own advice!:) Good luck on your low betting!

I don't mean to be overly critical, but when you are getting ready to throw your computer out the window because you're frustrated with online gaming - why are you promoting them with hotlist21.com in your sig.?

Doesn't make sense to me.

And why make the comment "I honestly see why our government banned this..." which is total BS since you can walk down to the nearest 7-11 and spend your entire paycheck on lotto tickets. What's up with that?

I suggest that you just move on and not do this anymore. It doesn't seem to agree with you.

But at least at Casinomeister, you won't be getting bonus offers from any pretty little banners :D (while you're in the US)

I do understand his frustration though. Losing $500 while showing a powerfull 20 is just sick.

Next time you feel the urge to play a slot machine, just transfer me the money and pretend you lost it all.

You'll feel the same, but I'll be happier. It's a push-win situation.

Bonuses!

I so agree with you on this point. I no longer take bonuses since I hit the Jackpot Bonus at Shark Casino for over $7800.00 and was allowed to only cash out $1000.00 since I had taken a bonus. When I play I want no restrictions. As you put it I want to "hit-and-run."

I have grown to despise bonuses because of the wagering requirements. They make it impossible to do a hit-and-run. You should not play with bonuses.

WHY ME??? I CAN'T HIT $HIT TO SAVE MY LIFE. NOTHING!!! I comeout better recycling cans or copper. I FEEL LIKE THROWING THIS DAMN COMPUTER OUT THE FREAKING DOOR!

It isn't just computers, it's live too. I had a horrible session at atlantic city this past weekend - on the rare occasions when I did get a hard 20, the dealer would find some way to draw a 21.

Harsh, but true - you either need to give up gambling for good (online and off), or, like others have said, learn proper bankroll management. Until then, you're going to continue to have big losses.
