Its not really a "secret"

Oer the years there have been so many different ways (tricks as they are called by regulars) to empty fruit machines or win on them.

I dont play much anymore but I still know people that live off fruit machines and do very well.

Here is really old example of the sort of stuff im talking about:

And there are message boards on fruit machines but I doubt the posters will give out the trick if its earning them

Sorry, you're right, Black21Jack, I don't think you ever said your approach worked at land-based casinos, so I will have to say there's a possibility it might be successful! I just took winnings to mean net winnings (withdrawals-deposits), but I suppose winnings could be used in another way - especially by casinos claiming how much their players 'win'!

Anyway, I know you don't want to turn this into a system discussion & I certainly don't want to either

Don't go there KK. Remember the 50 grand. The dark side is calling.

And on top of that you'd have to watch Bolton every week. :puke:

Hey guys dont knock the trotters

Chelsea's cheapest player is worth more than the whole of our team but we still didnt lose at Stamford Bridge.

And name me 1 other premiership side that has not lost to at least 1 of the "big 3" aka Chelsea, ManU or Arsenal this season..... anyone.... thought not :D

Bonuses are the worst thing a player can do when playing in an online casino. I have made way more money playing with my money than I would ever have if I had to lock my money into wager requirements, which I would most likely lose it having to play it so much. Not only do they have ridiculous wagering requirements which gives the casino a better chance at recovering the money, a lot of casinos also have added stipulations that Blackjack does not count, and that if they consider the play as non risk wagers they can void the bonus and any winnings made with it. Anyone with a brain can look at that and see that bonuses are a guaranteed way for the casino to make money from you, and that if by chance you do make money with it they have avenues to make it so that the winnings are void. Casinos want you to claim the bonus, it removes risk. I even had emails stating that they deposited free chips in my account. There is nothing in the email stating that I should read terms for these free chips, so when I go to their website and search for a while, finally finding the T&C's for the free chips it states the wager requirements and then way down at the bottom in very small print it says that I may use the free chips to enjoy any game in the casino but I cannot make a withdrawal until I have met the wagering requirements in their slot products. Bonuses are a crock, and they are for the benefit of the casino, not the player no matter what the math men say about increasing the odds in the players favor. I voted to reflect this. I know I will have a furry of loyal bonus 'hunters' that will say they have made thousands of dollars over the years collecting bonuses. To them I ask, have you ever had any problems, lock outs, voids etc. over the years when collecting these bonuses?

Well, I'm a bonus hunter. Been at it seven months and cleared over 10,500.00 profit (Pounds sterling not US Dollar ;) ). I've not been locked out of any casino. Sure I've been told I'll not be getting anymore monthly bonuses from some casinos but I don't really care, it's the sign ups I'm interested in. I personally set out to attempt to make 10k in a year, I've passed that total in seven months and I've learned a hell of a lot. I've only had bother getting paid from three casinos, took a bit of hassling over 6 weeks but they all paid out in the end. For the time being I've downscaled what I was doing, mainly just doing some of the monthlies I can still get. Anything I get from the casinos is just extra spending money and improving my quality of life.
There is plenty of room for players like you & I to co-exist.

To answer the poll - I still believe that a high % of sign ups are in favour of the player - provided that player is disciplined and knows what they are doing.
I only play BK by the way

I don't know how anyone makes any $$ off of bonuses! Whenever I do a bonus, it's long gone by the time I've met the playthrough requirements. Maybe I'm doing something wrong :)

Me too Heather :)

I reckon the way to do it is to always bet Max on a bonus and if you hit lucky then great else just wait for the next one. Say you get a $400 slots-only bonus then maybe whack in 20 odd goes on Thunderstruck at $22.50 a spin and cross your fingers?

But maybe KK and others will explain their stratagies?

Not in too much detail! ;)
Crypto's & Casino 365 are the best due to very few game restrictions. I only play minimum bets, but on a variety of games. As mentioned in an earlier thread - will power is the key. I don't really have quite enough of this myself, but the main things you must TRY to do are:-
a) Quit & switch games when you're nicely ahead.
b) Quit & switch games when you're down to a preset max loss (e.g. $20).
c) NEVER EVER chase your losses by increasing the stake on card games!

As a matter of interest, I am currently trying to work off $400 on MG slots with an $8,000 WR!
I keep trying to force myself to increase the coins, but I hate losing so much I just can't do it!
So far I've played about 6 hours (3,500 spins) wagered $1600, and taken bank up to $520.
(Thanks mostly to Thunderstruck & Tomb Raider).
But this account is more for entertainment value, and I don't have much time to play there due to more serious income to attend to ;) so I could still be plugging away at this one into next year! :D

Anyway, the result of your poll seems pretty even - I suppose that's what you expected?

I only play blackjack.
Follow the correct strategy for each software type.
Play minimum/low stakes. I play 2 - 5 per hand max, depending on the size of my bank+bonus and WR. Lets take Lasseters sign up for example. $250 dep +$250 bonus giving me a $500 bank with a WR of $10k. I played 2000 credits @ $5 per credit. Took me about 7-8 hours actual playtime over a weekend but I cashed out $970 ish. Many people would baulk at such a requirement but my profit was $720 for 7-8 hours work - that's a good rate of pay for this game in my opinion.
It's all about discipline, minimum/low stakes, don't be tempted to bet big and don't chase losses during a losing streak. Sometimes you'll lose your deposit at a casino but if you do, walk away and go to your next target.
I've made around 310 deposits in casinos, must've lost the deposit on 60 occasions but, as the lasseters situaton showed, it only takes a few casinos where it all goes right to get it back with intertest.

There's no need to make large bets unless you're playing with a sticky bonus. You can bet high stakes & the expected profit should be the same long term, but your risk of losing at each individual offer is much greater & you never know if there'll be a long term for casino bonuses.

The basic strategy is just to pick offers where you have a good expected profit. e.g. a 100/100 bonus you can play BJ on with a 2000 wr at an MG casino. Your expected loss during wagering playing Vegas Strip BJ (0.36% house edge) is 2000*0.0036 = 7.20. So your expected profit is about 92. If you do a lot of these offers (autoplaying to low stakes) you do end up with the expected profit.

Unfortunately now most offers tend to be much less appealing, but the same principle applies. If that offer above had to be played on slots then the house edge is likely to be at least 5%, so you'll lose 2000*0.05=100 - i.e. there's no expected profit & you may as well be playing with your own money. The key is to play only the good bonuses and be patient/not chase losses.

This site has a good explanation, though most of the offers are out of date now: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Agree with all that - though you should play some video poker as well! ;) Even slots can be profitable as long as you pick only offers with small wagering requirements.

Well said daywalker.

That's what I like about playing MG single-deck BJ with a HA of 0.1% - I can wager 3.6 times more with the same expected value so increased WR's don't effect me nearly as much.

Can't imagine why it's not offered anymore!
