I'm a little surprised. I have received a data report (GDPR) from Everymatrix and I was notified of 2 online casinos: Mr. Win and Fortune Legends. According to The GDPR report, I was banned due to gambling problems in January 2018 at Mr.Win. Why could I register again and lose money in September 2019 at Fortune Legends? Anyone able to assist in this issue? Thanks!!!

Hiya!
A self-exclusion is different then being banned. You did not self-exclude, so it didn’t count for the other casino

I guess you are playing under the MGA licence. If yes, the self-exclusion does not apply platform wide. You have to exclude with each brand.

It is bound to change in 2020, but at this point of time it is each casino for itself.

What I find more disturbing, as this is not your first case, is that it looks like you have not started seriously combatting your addiction. Yet, you keep digging around to get your deposits back when you lose.

Yes but only if a casino knows or should have known that I have a gambling problem (self exclusion)

What should they have known?

MGA casinos do not share information as it is not required.

All I see here is you first complaining about how a casino should compensate you for reversing 55K and losing it and now that you lost again a ton.

What it tells me is that you have no control and have no interest to control either. Otherwise, you would have started setting deposit limits on any new or existing casino account.

You opened this one in September, so you've been on this case for quite a few weeks trying to have your losses reimbursed. Well, it won't happen because it is not in the MGA regulations.

Investing the same level of energy in treating your addiction would be highly recommended!

Please stick to this topic. Either the casino made a mistake or they don't. That's all I want to know. Thank you.

Maybe my english not well enough to understand this:

"Provided further that, in the event that a player has been excluded by the B2C licensee in light of sufficient reasons which indicate that the player may have problem gambling issues, that player shall be excluded across all brands operated by the B2C licensee."

Quote the entire paragraph:

As I see it you requested to be SE-ed from Mr Win only.

Second, this directive came into effect on 1st August 2018. You SE-ed from Mr Win in January 2018!!!

You have not SE-ed at an Everymatrix casino since Jan 2018.

FTR: Fortune Legends is not part of the EveryMatrix white label network, they have their own license and are connected to EM only through their use of the games engine. See here for further details: Baptism by Fire - Fortune Legends is giving it a go!

@Lacoste2020 : your self-exclusion at Mr Win has no bearing on your activity at Fortune Legends. If you want to be self-excluded from Fortune Legends you need to follow their procedure and self-exclude via support@fortunelegends.com as directed in their Terms.

Thank you maxd, really appreciate it! From a formal point of view, there is nothing to criticize.

From a responsible gaming perspective, I am asking myself: Why does Fortune Legends explains in their Privacy Policies that "Also, we share your personal data (like your name, surname, date of birth, address, email address, phone number) with our service providers for KYC checks, fraud prevention or player protection...."

I think EveryMatrix is a service provider, since they provided me with an SAR file according to GDPR.

EveryMatrix may be A service provider but what makes you think they are THE service provider that FL uses and shares KYC data with?
Seems to me that would be the first question to ask before making assumptions and blaming the casino for failed Responsible Gambling practices.

Thank you, Advocate of FL.

1.
"EveryMatrix may be A service provider" No, EveryMatrix IS DEFINITLY WITHOUT ANY DOUBTS A service provider." since I received a GDPR report with KYC data (name, surname birthday, email adresses and so on...) from "dpo@everymatrix.com". As you can see, third parties, like EveryMatrix, have full information about my activities on FL.

2.
Just because Fortune Legends uses not only ONE service provider as THE service provider, does not change the fact the they use A service provider and shares KYC data with them.

If FL uses EveryMatrix and dont care about any pre-existing SE on the records of EveryMatrix, than FL indeed fails to set up responsible gaming practices ---> Big advertising in their data pricy policies but zero results. But wait- now I got it!!!! If I would win 100K at FL, of course they wouldnt pay me the winnings because of the SE they have been informed through their service providers. I understand. Seems like a win-win situation for FL.

If it comes to a disease like gambling addicition, we should not get lost in the little one and talk about A/THE service provider. Who enjoys the advantages of the online world (opening 100 online casinos with 100 different brands and using multi networks/cross linked platforms etc)- should also carry the burden of it. That`s it. Everything else is simply a lack of responsible gaming. Whether you like it or not.

Hi Lacoste,

Hope you dont mind me mentioning this. I cast no judgement and want to test my understanding of this scenario and your mindset for it.

You have self excluded and admit you have a problem gambling.

From your comment you are saying you blame them as they are the ones that 'knew or should have known'. You have not mentioned the ones that shouldnt have known or didnt know and, i assume, you lost deposits on.

Is this simply a money making exercise and if you get the deposits back will you continue to gamble or are you trying to satisfy a feeling of injustice?

Hi bamberfishcake,

Thank you for your comment and yes, please feel free to expose your thoughts. A forum is meant for that.

First of all I have managed to SE me from every relevant online casino with MGA license and I wont gamble a single cent any more. Futhermore I welcome every cross company/ malta-wide SE-Register. You wont see me at this forum or at other forums to open any further similar topics in the future. My experince about Casino Secret (lost 55K winnings within a weekend) was a turning point for me. Therefore, this topic should not only refer to me personally but should be considered in general.

Like you said, it is just a feeling of injustice and intransparency, when I receive an email from EveryMatrix (where I was SE) with all my personal details from past until today, but was registered at Fortune Legends.

Good to hear your not still gambling or going to gamble any more.

Thank you, Advocate of FL.

I'm an advocate of being truthful and reasonable. If in this case that means I'm supportive of FL's side in this then so be it.

Also, consider yourself warned: implying that I am biased towards the casino simply because you don't like what I'm saying is not going to end well for you.

If it comes to a disease like gambling addicition, we should not get lost in the little one and talk about A/THE service provider.

I understand what you are trying to say but ...
If FL uses EM's services then there is good reason to suspect that they should have known about your SE.
If FL does not use those EM services then there is no particular reason why they should have known about your SE.

So yes, it matters very much if they are using A given service provider.
If that service provider is EM and the answer is "yes, they are using EM services" then your criticism of them makes sense and deserves attention.
If not then your criticism is misplaced and misguided.
So far it seems "not" is actual situation we have before us.

Dear all,

I just wanted to follow up on maxd's post. In Fortune Legends we do care about the safety of our players and, on top of the self exclusion request via our Customer Support, we also do offer many tools that can be easily reached on each player's account in order to set all kind of limits, self-exclude or set a cool off period.

Please have a look at the picture attached. Thanks a lot!

If you really do care, you cannot use Everymatrix as a service provider and ignores the available information.

Again for FL: You have sent me an document via Everymatrix, in which it is very clear that I have SE myself in the past from online gambling. So FL, what is your problem to take responsible gaming seriös?

The more I think about it the more I have to laugh about this situation. You really have sent me an document which proves that I am SE in the past and you have simply ignored it.....

They certainly haven't .

These threads being started by newbies trying to get their deposits back, is becoming boring.

Guess you read a bit of bullshit somewhere, and now feel entitled.
