I notice the "Wild Card" section has been closed, but it also seems to have been removed completely from record as well, which seems far odder:confused:
Previoulsy, sections have been closed, but the posts already there have remained for view, but just locked.

Question - Why has this section been totally erased from history?

In terms of detraction from the main purpose of the forum, the same could be said of the jokes section, and indeed the "other complaints" section in so far as complaints are unrelated to online or land gambling issues.

Makes me wonder of something "unpleasant" posted there prompted the decision to both close and wipe the "wild card" section without notice. (It was cetainly working 2 days ago, with no suggestion of planned erasure).

It's not removed - just turned off. I made an announcement about this yesterday and briefly discussed this in yesterday's newsletter as well.

At the moment, it's unavailable - I'm still open for suggestions and can easily compromise and perhaps bring back sections of it in a more controlled moderated way. As it stands now, it became a breeding ground for juvenile behaviour and was becoming extremely counterproductive.

We'll see what next week brings.

I don't know if you saw my post in "jokes". So I am quoting myself.

You shouldn't have to do this. It amazes me that adults were carrying on like they were. It's too bad. Wild Cards can be very productive, right before it was closed Laurie posted something about a toy I had for my toddler and probably saved her life.

My suggestion (you said you were open to suggestions ;) ) would be, have to wild cards open, post the rules and if someone breaks them they can go on vacation.

Can I ask what was wrong with the joke I made today about a card trick? and a link to the Wild Card thread area.

The joke was circumventing the Wild Cards section closure - you need to just let this go.

The section is closed - get over it.

If I bring a section like this back, it will be in specific topic sections that have useful content - if it comes back. Give me some time to think about this. I am not willing to sacrifice my family time on a Sunday to get involved with this.

I am spending WAY too much time dealing with the issues that have appeared in that section and defending my closure of it. If you have other channels to blow off steam - utilize them. Thank you for your understanding.

exactly! You are spending too much time on this stuff (saying this nicely)

I think that's most of our points. I just don't think you should keep taking your marbles and going home and leaving us with nothing to do when gambling isnt the topic.

I know, it's a gambling forum....but so is my SSD forum, Word Riot forum, Fibromyalgia forum, they are what they say BUT...alll have vent/general/wild card like sections. And yes it gets out of hand and yes sometimes it gets away from the subject at hand...BUT in the end.....people still talk about the subject.

Forums are like buffets....a little of this , a little of that something for everyone, you are taking away the dessert table Bryan, I need my desserts. Ill go back to my main entree when Im in the mood for it:D

The only way to solve this Crazy thing is to have a Poll make the members of this forum vote on it.Everyone here is the back bone of this place.
If the vote says no At least we know where the one's that wanted it stand.
    That's All
I just think the members should have a say in the matter.
And if it's a No people here will say do I stay or go.
    Case Closed.
And to add to this I see many members looking at this thread.
In the who's online.but never say anything and maybe they will vote because they don't want to reply to this.

I don't know why you guys are still doing this ...you are making it worse . This is exactlly what he is saying he doesn't like can't you see this by his replies?? . If Bryan wanted a poll or a vote on it he would have done just that ! Bottom line is it is HIS forum and he can do what he wants .

I agree with babs............wild cards was a cool place to hang and quite amusing most of the time. Seems a pity to let a few posters (with motives only they can explain) to ruin the fun for the rest of us.

    I agree with your comments.

I believe Bryan is taking everything into consideration. The power of the forum and the site action as a casino watchdog is the level of activity it maintains, along with the amount of visitors it receives per month.

Active forums certainly add a threatening edge to Casinomeister.com, when it comes to rogue casinos thinking about stiffing players. They know that posts on the forum will be viewed by hundreds of other members or guests.

Although I never posted in the wildcard section, the only positive I can see from it would be that it would add to many of the forum members remaining active.

I've created a forum strictly for gamblers who want to goof off, share non-gambling interests, etc. and I'll delete it from the web should Bryan decide to re-open wildcards or if he has any objections.

It will never become an affiliate or watchdog site, nor attempt to compete in any way with CasinoMeister.com

You must register/login in order to see the link.

It is just an empty shell right now, and I will give admin access to a wildcard or two who wants to take on some of the responsibility of structuring it.

Please PM me, or email d e w a y n 1 4 5 (no spaces :)) at yahoo dot com or just sign up there and we can get to building it.

I really don't mind deleting it later if that's best; as an author, artist, and songwriter I'm used to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

    Hey Lojo

That is so confusing. Dont you think MSN groups would be easier. I ran 2 different forums on that site at the same time and it's easy to build. I can even do it for you and make you the authorized moderator even though I built it for you

Tell me what you think. It is real easy. Ill show you one of the ones I belong to
You must register/login in order to see the link.

I have fun making them. let me know, Ill call it and do whatever you want, this other one is so confusing while MSN is very simple. I can make it wonderful for you, infact it works so fast, Ill build one and come back with the link. It is now 730pm......watch this

OK It's up already and its only 742pm, just ask for permission to join and if your a member here, you can be a member there. I did the same thing with the SSD coalition and even put her link in and she joined mine. It's not a competition it's something different. There will be no discussions about gambling except to vent. Casinomeister is still the bomb and shall stay that way. This is NOT a gambling forum

lojo: hurry up and join so I can make you full manager

You must register/login in order to see the link.

Im tired, gonna take a break, I will approve you as soon as i log on again, need to spend time with Rich

That's great babs :) I was going to defer to what you're doing but would have to create whole new alias - I simply don't trust microsft network and won't use them:eek2: But I'll support your efforts 100%, just not going to sign in via msn.

We can work it all out, I'm sure. I'm not in any sort of 'leadership' mood right now, so can't think of the best options (2-3 hours of sleep for weeks ongoing, malaise, worries, waaaaaa)

I'll just chill for now... any and all ideas are welcome here... tired tired, sleep now... not likely :)

I just clicked into the forumcorp thingy and the reason it looks confusing is that I haven't done anything with it yet. It would just take some effort to build, and there are almost all the tools that this forum has to do it in the admin section. If it got use and participation we could migrate it to another board if we chose to when the banners pop up in a month (it's a no cost option)

I'm pretty sure most people won't have a problem with msn like I do, I just know too much about how they can be data mined, etc. and anything to do with my participations here has to be anonymous (except to select trusted people and the casinos)

I'm sure it will all work out. Right now I'm not able to put the time into it, but PLEASE don't let me not signing into the msn thingy disuade it. I'll always be here, as a wildcard, as long as I'm welcome.

    Awww Crud

I really want you there too. Ill tell ya what, you get sleep and Ill keep this one up until you get yours up, ok? I only have to press one button to delete it. Ive been a msn group member (only to private ones) for years and had no problems. This is private, only Casinomeister members can sign up and if you want, I can change it to adult instead of mature and then people cant even look at it whatsoever.

Ill do that, Im gonna change it to totally private for you.

It will work out, I don't have to participate, I'll be here :)
