I have to say that the new slots that RTG has been pushing out lately are just not the same as the slots made previous to the change.

Clunky comes to mind when describing the movement of the reels per spin. Also, why are the new ones SO GOSH DARN FOCUSED on the feature guarantee bet? I could care less about that and don't particularly want it in the slot "package".

New ones that I'm speaking of include games like Lockness, the Bears and Bulls game, the Hairway to Heaven and the newly released game that drove me to create this thread, the Elf one...

Now the newest Elf slot has the SAME freakin' symbols as Revenge of Rudolph and Santa Strikes Back but spins and feels VERY different.

What gives?

The win guarantee feature brings the casino more money. Why would anyone "pay" extra to get a feature. Sometimes you don't even get all the extra money back that it cost. Not playing those slots is the best way to be heard by the casino

IMO the feature guarantee is a rip-off. You pay to get the feature in 100/150 spins but if you get the feature in normal spins the counter is reset to 0. I think the counter number should stand instead of being reset as I had paid for it.

Good point. Even if you do get the feature, there's no guarantee that you'll get a GOOD feature
to cover the money you put in to get the feature in the first place.. So why should one pay for it? Also, to your
point, since I'm paying for it BUT got the feature randomly and didn't end up using the guarantee I paid for, why reset it to 0?...
Since, you know, I paid for it?

Besides that, the new designs and clumsiness of the slots SUCK!

Great point Vegasbum. We should all go on strike and stop playing them until they bring us back
Pay Dirt style slots. Hairway to Heaven, LOL what a shitty concept.

I finally played a feature guarantee last week, not very impressed. I have only played it once last year so I don't remember the outcome.

Last week I hit the feature in 11 spins and won around $3 on a 25cent bet....kept playing all the way til the end didn't get the feature, then won around $5.

So if my calculations are correct...it cost me $37.50 to get the feature and I won $5 (I believe the feature was 150 spins?)

Features can pay well or just scrimp. What bugs me is to get a feature in about 120-130 spins and the counter is reset to 0. What the heck did I get from my contribution to the feature? Its a compulsory bet mind you. I am not sure whether this is factored in the RTP.
