RTG random jackpot question about max cashout

I'm not an experienced slots player, and I would like to ask you a question.

I hit a random jackpot in a RTG casino. After my first deposit I redeemed a sign-up bonus with a 20x-initial-deposit maximum cashout restriction. The jackpot amount is significantly higher than 20x my initial deposit. As far as I understood, my real winning is only the cashout maximum. After the cashout the remaining amount will be void, and it won't be refunded to the Random Jackpot prize pool.

Can you confirm that there's nothing I can do to receive any amount from the casino above 20x my original deposit?
(Side question: Is it fair to the other players who contribute to the jackpot?)

Unfortunately there is no way you can withdraw the full amount of the Random Jackpot when you are playing with a bonus with Terms & Conditions you described.

I hit a $7800 Random Jackpot playing on a bonus and was only allowed to withdraw $1000. Now I do not play RTG casinos with a bonus. Since that Random Jackpot I have hit 3 more and been able to withdraw the full amount of my wins. They weren't anywhere near the size of the one I couldn't withdraw but nice!

Best of luck to you!

From the way I understand this, this jackpot is individulized by each casino, so the starting pot is created by the casino, not the player. This is why I think they keep the jackpot if a non-eligible player hits it.

This is the other reason to not take bonuses unless you play slots without these jackpots to keep you from crying.

CONFIRMED...you read the T&C's right? So its a moot point now.

I feel bad since both of the players hit at my casino.
But to let everyone know. The reason the additional funds from the jackpot are not paid out or refunded to the game is because not every dollar put in the machine comes from real money. As an example if a player takes a 100 deposit and a 100 bonus and deposit it all in the same machine and the machine collects lets say .10 of every 1.00 for the Jack pot it means the Jack pot grew 20.00 (200 x .10) but in all actuallity only 100 of real money was put in machine so the Jack pot should have only gone up 10.00 not 20.00. So if a player with no bonus wins, they get the whole jack pot even though it was inflated by bonus money. So also when a Jack pot is hit and the player does not get it all, it makes up for the ones who hit and get it all. I hope this goes towards explaining Jack pots.

You feel bad for not paying out a Random Jackpot At your casino? YEA RIGHT!
Ok, playing devils advocate here...

Why shouldn't he feel bad? The players knew what they were getting into when they took the deposit!
a sign-up bonus with a 20x-initial-deposit maximum cashout restriction.
Just as they said in their own posting, they get 20x the deposit for any withdrawal. THEY KNEW THIS so what is the issue?

If I chose to deposit and play with a bonus and hit a random jackpot, I would be PISSED at MYSELF knowing full well what the T&C's were...not at the casino or managers.

So also when a Jack pot is hit and the player does not get it all, it makes up for the ones who hit and get it all.
And this also makes sense since this is the way I understood other RTG casinos do too and the reason I stated that it's up to the individual casinos to seed the pot to start the jackpot with their OWN funds..

You don't have to feel bad. Winning a jackpot is always nice.
The reasons that you described also came to my mind before falling asleep (after posting), and I understand it now.

I was aware of the T&C. I'm not angry, and I don't blame the casino nor somebody else. Maybe you understand that it's a bit frustrating to see such a balance in the upper left corner, but that's all.

But as I mentioned in my original post, I hardly played slots before, and I estimated the probability of hitting a random jackpot being much lower. I just wanted to be sure whether I understood the T&C right, before saying goodbye to the remaining amount.

I don't play RTG's much, but if you keep on playing until your balance gets down to the max withdrawal amount wont you at least earn some decent comp points?
(Points = real $'s! ;) )

...but then the comp points have T&Cs too. I was amazed to learn that recently.

I feel worse than you do about your not paying out that Random Jackpot I won. LOL... Since winning that RJ I have won 3 more. Got to cash everyone of them out since I don't play with a bonus after missing out on $6800.00. It was an expensive learning experience. Never got one that big though :(

Agreed it was clearly in the conditions etc, so he shouldn't get paid - but the whole thing sucks, and the reason RTG is completely off my places to play list. Total utter nonsense terms and conditions like this just aren't worth the hassle. It's another example of casino's unfairly stacking the odds in their favour. As if the 5%+ edge on slots isn't enough?.. Dreadful.

just a tiny question

I have read this term for the first time (have tried any RTG casino yet).
But as a player, its very-very disappointing to win a jackpot and not being able to be paid in full
I understand terms are terms, I dont write to complain about this now.

I write to ask if this term or similar one exists/happens to Playtech and MG casinos.
Please advise.

I am not an expert slots player, but I do like to receive a bonus and by accepting lower winning percentage, I try to hit a good win. Haven't hit anything but If there is such a rule there too, I will not receive the bonus nor play progressive slots at all.

Hey Addy

Do you play a certain amount when you win the RJ? I was just wonderng because I only play 1.00. Do you have to play max to win?

I asked this question of a casino manager via a PM yesterday. VIP Casino has unusually large Randon Jackpots on their Real-Series Video slots. Thought I would set up my computer to bet 1 cent on auto on their flash casino. I wanted to know how much you had to bet to win a RJ. What I was most interested in was how many lines I had to play.

The question I put to the person was if I bet $.20/per spin and chose only 1 line, meaning I would be betting one penny would I be eligible to win the RJ. He said he had tried to do that in other RTG casinos himself by putting his computer on that bet 24/7. He has never hit but I got the impression from his answer that you can bet as little as one penny.

You know who you are casino manager so if you want to be real specific for us it would be appreciated.

I normally play $2/spin in the RTG casinos. This I do because I am just too impatient to get little wins. If I hit something I want to win something. It probably makes no sense at all, but when I play $.20 or $.40 spins I get very bored, very fast.

On another note I PMed the manager at VIP Casino and asked if their RJs started at 10k instead of the usual 1k. I still haven't gotten an answer on that one. If that is the case then people who are playing for the 11k jackpots need to wait for them to get higher because I was told they hit at around 5k. Then again I have hit mostly around 2.5k. So who the hell knows!

There was a discussion about RTG jackpot triggers here:
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/rtgs-random-jackpots-how-random.14137/

However it is still my belief that chance for winning is propertional to bet-size.
But if you trust RTG, then you win it by betting 0.01$ total (1-line) with same probablity as if you were betting 100$, however I do not believe this.

If you believe RTG then autospin at 0.01$ would be a 100%+ payout game according to my calculations if some parameters are correct (jackpot size and
probability for hitting it each spin). You can max set it to do 1000 autospins though, but save your money...

The lowest jackpot win was on a 0.2$ bet from the datasheet I got with 50 jackpot wins.

Zoozie

So do you think Zoozie the fact that I usually bet $2.00/spin is why I am hitting the RJs? Four of the in the matter of 6 weeks is a lot of them wouldn't you think?

i've noticed that sometimes the random jackpot meter speeds up quite a bit. does this mean that simmo! or robwin are out there somewhere betting $20/spin when that happens?

I think you got it! Thanks simmo and robwin for jacking up those jackpots!

OK all... I NOW understand the "terms and conditions" bs... (bear with me i broke my hand saturday)...My whole point WAS they CALLED MY HOME AND SAID I WOULD BE PAID!! They strung me along for 10 days..all the while saying I would be paid..we all know the casino manager has the last say in the payout..
anyway..why bother to call my home and make a promise he never intended on keeping?
burned and learned...

And just a reminder to check the T and C's at all RTG's regarding comp points. I got burned, won $1000, was only able to cashout $100 due to the max cashout rule. The only RTG I know for sure who DOESN'T follow this stupid rule is Inetbet. So make sure you check ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

How such a beautiful, intelligent lady as your goodself did not manage to check out the original T&C's is beyond me.

More fool you Pinababy!
