Resolved Rome Casino - Beware!

Think he meant talks as in how i'm was going to get my money back to me. To be fair the Rome rep on here has been helpful so I have nothing against him, I only come on here to have a moan, I had no idea someone would get me my money back.

Anyway, so received my money via bank transfer, I deposited into Rome by Neteller though. Apparently there was a 'backlog' with Neteller payouts. Evidently, to get to the front this queue you have to wait over 5 months.

Also, I was told NOTHING about what was going on the whole 5 months. Live chat seemed sympathetic and said someone would get back to me, no one ever did. I sent about a dozen emails over the 5 months with no response of what was going on. I threatened them with contacting the gambling authorities, legal action, etc. The other week live chat seemed to respond to me by asking me not to take any further action and a manager would look at it the next week. 3 weeks later I heard nothing then posted on here..

Anyway, right pain in the ass but happy I got my money back thanks to Rome being scared of a few people reading about it on here. :)

I'm sorry, but I have to call bullshit on that lame assed excuse. This is a casino I would never do business with after reading of your experience. This would not happen at a reputable casino. A good casino would have figured out how to get your money to you way before this. Foul!

I am glad you got paid.

Do I need to point out here that so far we've heard exactly one side of this issue?

Bold pronouncements based on hearsay and one-sided evidence are worth all the effort that has gone into seeking a balanced view of the issue: not much.

Hey Guys,

OK, I understand where you're coming from. I'll explain what happened and I apologize in advance, this shouldn't have gone down the way it did.

Basically what happened was that the account was flagged by the fraud department. The manager believed the player was fraud (no offense slotty - they get them a lot) and decided to carry out an investigation. Usually the policy in such cases is not to alert nor make contact with the player being investigated.

When the thread began, they were already giving up on their investigation, I asked that they waste no further time and send the withdrawal post-haste, since they failed to find conclusive evidence in all this time.

Now I know how this sounds and obviously the Casino was not in the right here, the delay was unacceptable. But you have to understand that casinos deal with many fraud cases and they can become a bit guarded after being stung several times. An investigation rarely happens though, and I'm very sorry to Slotty that he had to suffer through this delay. I want you to know this was not a delay tactic in any way, as the sum is not an extreme one, it was a decision by the fraud department that went nowhere.

This is all the information I have about this. I know it doesn't help that much, but there was no malicious intent here, there was an over-zealous fraud department that thought they were on to something.

Kind Regards,

Noah

to the OP, I do believe you can THANK Casinomeister, Max and the forums here for getting you your money...

Without this forum and the ability to bring this problem public your chances of getting paid were nil.

There's nothing too bold being said. They just haven't paid me for 5 months and haven't mentioned a word of what is going on. I'm sure if one of these 2 facts were not true, the rep would have said something..

Good point, thanks to Casinomeister for having a very popular forum so that the potential negative publicity Rome faced gave them the needed kick up the arse. Other than that, if anyone else done something, let me know and I will say thanks.

This policy falls apart when the investigation takes so long that the player notices, and then, since they have not been informed of any investigation, they believe the casino is up to no good.

Taken at face value, an excuse of a 5 month backlog for Neteller payments indicates a severe cashflow issue, and by giving no proper feedback to the player throughout 5 months, the issue becomes a rumour that the casino has gone bust. Just like player fraud, PLAYERS are also victims of casinos that are struggling, but try to survive by using new deposits to pay earlier withdrawals, and this is what educated players think might be going on when there is a long delay in payments.

A 5 month investigation also looks like the fraud department could find no immediate evidence, but continued on a "fishing expedition" for many months hoping something would turn up, rather than end the investigation and clear the withdrawal for payment.

The op got paid and that is great!

But I would like to point out that there are currently a LOT of people that Rome owes money too that are NOT being paid...

It really is too bad that the only way to get paid from ROME Casino is to bring it public in these forums...

Ummm, perhaps you meant to say "... for this OP to get paid ..." because as written your statement is a sweepingly incorrect generality. And needlessly damaging to the casino's reputation.

I'm not saying the casino didn't seriously screw this particular issue up, they've already said they did, but that doesn't make it an "all players, all the time" situation by any stretch.

True... sorry for the general sweeping statement. Going public here is not the 'only' way to get paid... but it sure helped.;)

I don't know about 'needlessly' damaging.
People should know you play there you take your chances at getting paid, in a reasonable amount of time or getting paid at all.
This op aint the only one who has gotten the run around from ROME about getting paid.

Hi Lots0,

If you know of any other withdrawal issue, please don't hesitate to give me the details of the incidents, or better yet ask the players involved to PM me with the details of their issue.

If there are other players having trouble, WHY should they have to contact you to get things moving. THIS is what you have a CS depatment, and Accounts department for. If these two departments are not able to handle queries and payments, then there IS a problem at the casino, and it would be wise for players to refrain from depositing until the situation becomes clearer.

I would have thought you could run a query in the back office to extract stats relating to player withdrawals, thus would KNOW whether this is an isolated problem, or a sign of strain within the system. The latter would need to be addressed quickly to prevent loss of confidence among players.

I am new to rome casino. I have won once on rome a month ago. I have met all terms and conditions and still have not gotten paid. I would like to log onto the casino, but there software is down. When I call or email them I am put off. I was actually told by a rep named "Tom" that he could not check my status unless I was logged in!!! Has anyone else had issues like this?
