So I didnt think I deposit enough these days to trigger a SOW request but been staying off the gambling recently so made a deposit. Straight away I had a SOW screen in front of me!

Sigh I thought, here we go I have to justify my gaming budget to complete strangers.

Went on live chat to see what they needed and got through to a CS agent immediately who talked me through what they wanted, we will get this taken care of for you hold tight! a copy of my passport and bank statement, both i have saved on my PC desktop.

The two docs were accepted within 35 minutes, and I chose to withdraw after seeing that screen and my withdrawal request was paid in around fifteen minutes!

Im extremely impressed with Rizk and their committed team that work tirelessly to give you a flawless experience. Even though my gambling has cut right down from what it used to be so cant promise them another deposit in the future.

Keep it up guys!

That is an impressive level of customer service but the one question I would ask is why the Sow request cannot be triggered as soon as a player starts the deposit process. We have seen over a number of threads during the past few months that some players, through no fault of their own, cannot provide the necessary documents that some casinos are now demanding and this at least would give the player the option of not continuing with a deposit if they knew that a SOW request would present them with a problem.

I completely agreee. I mean I didnt think the amount would be any where near what they would need SOW for and im glad that my play has reduced over the last couple of years so probably wont go through it again.

Still impressed with how swiftly they handled the demand for documents considering they have to request evidence from customers going forward

Pleasing to finally see a "positive" SoW thread.

What needs to happen now, moving forward (with all casinos)

1) Better understanding by casino management of what/why/when is actually required by UKGC.
2) If it is unavoidable SoW time for account "X", please do it BEFORE any deposits are taken, some of us can only afford one deposit every 2-3 days and look forward to that session.
3) Dig deeper, do low rollers who have not changed their play style in the past 10 years really need to be targeted? They fit into neither RG nor AML risk areas.

List not exhaustive but I'll leave it there for now.

So what happens if the player is either unable or unwilling to go through the SOW process? Do they get their deposit back? Surely casinos can't just hold money to ransom?

Rizk Source of Wealth Bullshit!

You need to read this thread. The money can get passed to a 3rd party I think for safekeeping whikst it's all sorted out. But its a bit unclear.

Agree that this could be a problem especially as most casinos have the 1x wagering rule on deposits as an anti-money laundering measure.Does the software allow the SOW request to be triggered once a player clicks the deposit button but before they enter their payment details in order to complete the deposit? Maybe one of the casino reps could shed some light.

Well TBH it seems like an improvement that they're now asking on deposit rather than withdrawal, and if the process can be as quick and painless as it has been for philderby, not too onerous for the player either.

As one final step, as long as the player has the option to say 'I don't wish to comply, or can't comply, with your SOW request, please refund my deposit' and the casino does so, I'd say it's largely an OK scenario.

It's not ideal as the UKGC's regulations are new and casinos are learning how to properly implement and interpret them, but from what I can see here Rizk have seen the problems with their processes, and made them better.

If a casino accepts the deposit, then they should pay any winnings on that deposit.

If SOW shit is needed, then the deposit should be blocked/stalled, an a SOW request made right there.

Holding winnings to ransom is quite simply rogue behaviour.

Not just withdrawals.
The OP was hit with a SOW request straight after he deposited. Which meant they were then holding his deposit to ransom. So I'm not sure why he's so happy about that

The only two SOW requests I've had (so far). Have happened at login. I couldn't even click on the deposit button.
Which is the way it should be

Thats because a notable percentage of players will be f this for a game of soldiers and simply not play there. That doesn't work for Rizk.

Bit surprised to hear you say this Brian, I honestly believed you had a bit more intelligence than to say 'Not sure Why He Was Happy' I fully understand why this procedure takes place, it takes responsibility and ownership for their players. It seems you didn't know that however

Obviously they haven't got as much confidence in their customers' loyalty, as the ones who are doing it the right way.

Well if you read my post properly. You'll see that when I had SOW requests from two other casinos. The request came as I logged in.

They didn't wait until I'd made a deposit. Effectively forcing the player to comply with the request.

What if you weren't able to satisfy their request, there and then?
Your deposit would basically be locked.

OK princess dont lose your shit

Maybe you should pursue a different hobby, or counselling or both

My advice would be fill a nice hot bath with Radox and candles

We need one set of rules, laid out by the UKGC in clear and precise wording that leaves nothing to interpretation. Basically ask for this this & this before commencing, prior to deposit etc.

As it stands, we'll have some casinos go overboard with their demands in constant fear of being fined, and others being quite relaxed about it, like a normal verification.

I'm glad Rizk dealt with it quickly in this instance, I would like more transparency for all casinos so that this doesn't end up being a one-off

Please don't flame your fellow members - not cool.
Brian I fully respect your hold the rule book but please let adults be adults, I mean most of us have been talking to each other for a number of years.

I dont see anything directly hurtfull with what I said, it just needed to be said. My stepfather was a sgnt major in the Royal Marines and believe me growing up I heard much more colourful language than this.
