Just a query.
I made a brand new account here on 16th of may.
I thought you had to be verifed before making deposits at casinos noe according to the new UKGC rules?
I made some deposits at rizk which were accepted without any requests.

I have just come to make a withdrawal and was greeted with a SOW questionnaire and a docs request.
Is this normal?

Matilda (16:25:06): We do not need documents when players deposit as the funds are coming to us, however when we sent funds out we want to know that the owner of the same account that was used to deposit gets them :)
paul taylor (16:26:00): You are wrong as per new UKGC guidelines, all UK players must be verifed before making deposits
Matilda (16:27:33): I understand, however your casino account has been made before the new UKGC guidelines were made and for this reason, you were able to deposit. I assure you we are processing your documents as soon as possible so you get your funds!
paul taylor (16:28:08): No my account was made after, please check your information
Matilda (16:30:12): I see, we will be sure to do so, thank you for the input. The UKGC updates do not come to use immediately, I assure you now illegal activity is going on, we are just verifying your account as mandatory.
If there is nothing else I can help you with today have a great day and we will get to processing in the meantime!
Bye for now!
paul taylor (16:30:48): Yes thanks Matilda, I will get back to you
Matilda (16:31:02): Okay, bye then!

Any ideas/ thoughts.

Many thanks.

Hi Paul,

I obviously can't confirm what this operator is doing, but I will say it's often possible to verify a player's identity with electronic checks without you having to physically upload documents. Providers like Experian provide this service and use things like the electoral role to confirm you are who you said you are.

Hi Mark,
Many thanks for your reply, yes I see your point, but why are they asking for documents now at the withdraw stage?
i have had some withdrawals before without problems?
Also if you read the chat transcript, all the quoted information is incorrect.

Does this leave a mark on your credit file? And don't you have to accept this first?

Hi Scott.
Im not sure, but I was allowed to make deposits straight from the start (no requests for anthing) so i assumed I was verified otherwise I would not be allowed to play.
But when it comes to withdrawals your money is still held to ransom.
If Im verified deposit wise why not the same for withdrawals?

Also the chat transcript is worrying if you read it.

Ah alright, and yes we have to verify all of the players from UK with the following documents:
Proof of ID
- A copy of your passport, National ID card or driving license.

Proof of address
-A picture (or an online version as a PDF-file) of your electricity, water or phone bill. A letter from government or bank statement with address visible is also sufficient.
The document needs to show:
-Your current address
-First name and surname
-Cannot be older than 6 months
-All 4 corners needs to be visible.

I'm not registered with RIZK. But wanted to make sure. One more question. Do you use experian also to verify people in the UK?

17:47
Yes that is right, let me have a look on your account, just a moment :)

17:46
Hi just to confirmed. If I joined your site from the UK would I need to verify first before deposits?

There is something not quite right with this casino.
Your either verified or not, my deposits were taken without any checks.
Withdrawals are not the same.
Nothing has changed.
How can they ask for more at withdrawal stage, thats what I thought this new UKGC ruling was about. Verify fisrt to stop this happening.

As somebody mentioned earlier, these electric screenings can be automatically done at the time of registration and they might be able to proof your DoB and Address. They need these documents from you, many times they can get them automatically that you can deposit but at some point they can request physical pictures of them, would guess that's what happened.

Support unfortunately in sometimes is not 100% familiar how other departments run these checks and especially all changes might not reach all right away (just guessing but these kind of issues unfortunately happen for people), would just provide them all information they request and all will be good.

That is a worrying chat transcript if the rep cant even see it was a brand new account.
Maybe the rep on here can chime in, if he can be found.

Verified by electronic screening is not similar to KYC or SOW.

Before you play I'm sure they checked your identity: name and age, maybe address as thats optional.

But when you hit specific thresholds you are required to complete the KYC process and for another threshold you need to provide some information where you get your money from to gamble with.

So basically we are speaking about 3 different things!

I'm pretty sure they have systems in place that verify your identity and age, I'm not sure if support can confirm this or not - our support can because we have a symbol for that - but if you ask them to raise the question I'm pretty sure you get a proper answer.

Basically, "We can still take as many deposits as we want when it comes to withdrawing we will request more docs ID checks verification etc etc etc"
All this should be done at source when opening an account. ask for all the documents first not after.

In my opinion there's no excuse for KYC checks not being all electronically done in this day and age. There should be no need whatsoever for physical uploads, except for certain instances where age etc can not be verified. It would save a hell of a lot of faffing about for the end user.

At many UK sites they'll electronically verify you on sign up and you'll get a 'account verified' notification.

It's like card withdrawals. They should be processed and in your account same day. It's 2019 and yet we're still relying on an antiquated BACS refund method.

Agreed.
They already verified me, now they are asking for proof of address etc, whats the point in getting instant verification?
Only at the withdrawal stage does this happen again and again.

Also whats the point in having a rep here who dosent respond / reply to any queries?
