Rival Casinos

I haven't played Rivals in a while, and when I did it was a mix between Bet Cave, Go Fish and Vegas Regal.

Iirc, VRC had some serious issues, so I stopped depositing, but still played the mon to wed free chips. Bet Cave I cashed out from a few times, and I do miss playing Scary Rich 1 & 2 and Spy Game (that machine pays BIG, but takes a long time to hit a good bonus :p).

Tropica I never really deposited much at, simply because the bonuses looked good, but the wr was INSANE. Like 70x on one bonus I was offered. Who would really take a bonus with that much WR?

Most Rivals were getting toward 30x WR+ and that, even for me is crazy.

Bet Cave was somewhat sensible with their bonuses, I believe it was at 13x for 100% or something, though again, that changed later to be crazily high.

My tip: if you're gonna offer bonuses, fine, but don't expect then to be taken when they are 40x and above. 70x?! Forget about it.

Totally agree!
Bonuses with WR like that are just an insult to the intelligence of the players and we would ALL be much better off if they weren't offered.

Back on topic, I would just like to say that Tropica do appear to be one of the better Rival casinos - not that they have a lot to beat these days... :(
I will shortly be removing most Rivals from my sites, but hopefully Tropica can prove themselves worthy of staying on.
Rival do have some great games, it's just Rival's appalling mis-management that has tarnished the brand.

I used to play alot at Rivals in 2009 that was almost all i played and Tropica was one of my favorite but then i got bonus banned at tropica so i unistalled it today i figure i d/l again but "No Promotions Available" so guess im still bonus banned, wicked though as i did deposit a lot without bonus at tropica but this was and is the case for a lot of Rivals if they were to open up for bonuses again im 100% sure ide be back, not that i would just play with a bonus i just like to have that option :)

I never had a problem with Tropica, although I agree the WR are way too high. On my last deposit I received a very high bonus with no max cashout, with a WR of 70x. After a lot of fantastic hits on the slots and sudoku I eventually lost before I could complete the WR of x70. On the other hand I had really lots of entertaining playtime and collected comps that added up to more than 5 times my deposit. For Scary Rich and Spygame, which are my favorite Rival slots, I play there from time to time. And there are often freebies I give a try.

I haven't played Rival for a while so I loaded Tropica and found 2 freeplay promos. One was 5,000 free credits for one hour and a 40x playthrough (I think). Now that is at least 2,700 spins at max bet of 37.50 - about 1.4 seconds for each spin. Max cashout is tiny - 100 or so (again this is for memory so might be incorrect).

Obviosly this playthrough is impossible to meet so just what is the point of the promotion?

Hi Scampo,

I can assure you that we do not offer 5000 free credits at this moment in time. We never have and doubt it is worth doing in the future.

We have spent a lot of time working through our offers and feel we have a fair mix of bonuses and play-through requirements to cater to everyone's needs. If anyone feels differently, then please feel free to PM me and I will review and respond accordingly :)

Kind regards,
Tropica

High risk assurance there from the Rival rep.

Any chance of a screenshot before the evidence vanishes;)

Hi Balky,

Thank you for the feedback and glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Tropica. You are one of the first members and have always been a good player.

The 70x wagering was for a 2000% Match with no Max Cashout restriction (just thought I would mention it before everyone posted how high that was :D )

I know it is going to take a lot to convince some of you about Tropica, but all I ask is that you allow us a chance to prove ourselves.

Thanks all!

It seems to me that Sloto and Desert Nights are simply mitigating potential loss. For some reason Desert Nights is still allowed to operate a Rival casino for US players (I believe Golden Cherry might be the only other option), but the Deckmedia group can't keep all of their eggs in one basket, particularly when that "basket" is a game operator that has banned US play - who's to say they wouldn't do the same to Deckmedia tomorrow, yk?
Additionally, tinfoil hats or not, there've been some very intriguing posts about the level of "customization" allowable within the RTG suite - and since we don't know for sure if that's legit, we can only wonder if it means Rival offers any more or less to operators. All I can say is that personally, Sloto was the tightest Rival I ever played!!!!!, and now Desert Nights is just as bad. But sue me, I like some of their games, a lot. And the Sloto group is still respected, so I'll still play at Desert Nights (when I can deposit, which is another discussion entirely.)

Back to Tropica - before the bulk of Rival's went US only I played quite a bit at Tropica, but generally just because they had the best freebies around - and they were frequent and fun. I never expected a cashout on them, and my expectations were met.

The larger topic: Rival in general. I had some *great* cashout experiences at Rivals before the axe came down, most notably from the Box24 group. I miss having a variety to choose from, and don't understand why Desert Nights can still run a US friendly Rival, but the others can't.

Ditto:eek2:

I think everybody deserves a chance, I mean, that's part of what Casinomeister is all about. I think its cool that reps come here and want to be put on accredited probation. If a player doesn't want to play there then so be it, don't play there. But again, that's why this forum is so great, it helps bridge the gap between players and casinos

Well, after almost a year of hardy to no Rival play, last weekend I decided to re-install Tropica and play a few bucks with no bonus, just to test the waters, as I really love Rival games and I miss playing them.
Tropica treated me good in the past.

So I put $25.- in, played my beloved Scary Rich games at minimum bets, managed to make it $100.- after a while and cashed out to see how that goes now.

Good morning De Beuker,

Just a quick follow up to let you know that your $100 was paid yesterday.

Have a good weekend everybody!

There are a several reasons, both personal and practical, that I like Rival software. When it comes to the main operator and most of the individual casinos, however, it's a different story. The complaints are numerous, from the blanket bonus banning after a couple of big cashouts to delayed withdrawals and clueless (or nonexistent) customer support. My greatest wish is that the Rival owners eventually sell out to a more reputable firm that knows what it's doing but I'm not holding my breath.

As for Tropica specifically, the one good thing I can say about it is that, like VRC, it has yet to bonus ban me. Then again, since most of their current deposit offers are beyond awful, it's the same difference as far as I'm concerned. Seriously, when a 100% $200 x50(D+B) with a 4x max. cashout bonus is the best you can offer, why even bother? The 200%, 300% and 400% promos with escalating playthroughs of x60, x70 and x80 are certainly no better.

Sure, there's a 2000% up to $2000 x70 offer that doesn't look so bad in comparison - except the most one can withdraw is half the bonus amount, whch essentially means the playthrough is double the stated amount. Freebies have dried up for me over the last two months, even though I have deposited in the past (over $100 last year) and never withdrawn. Only bonus I ever made playthrough on was a small ND chip ($10-15 x77WR) that I obviously played back.

P.S. For the most part I seek out bonuses but, like most who've been playing at online casinos for five or more years, my expectations nowadays are more down to earth. A reasonable to decent promo that offers at least a moderate chance at meeting WR and getting to cashout is usually all I require. I only deposit without a bonus at established sites like Ladbrokes and William Hill (Vegas) that I know from experience are hassle-free and pay out quickly.

To kind of play the devils' advocate...
I know I'm in the minority on this
When I was playing online I used to enjoy playing at Slotocash, it was a change from RTG and MG. Some of the games could be frustrating at times, but so aren't any other games on any other platform.

I can only use Slotocash as my example for Rival as they were my preference for my majority of play. In comparision with my RTG casino of choice and my MG casino of choice (before those were taken away from me) I have to say the CSR, the timely payouts were well handled.

I don't know anything about Tropica or how they deal with their players. It seems to me, they have a rep who is willing to come on board and try to work with the players. There aren't too many (look and see how many log in daily, compare to how many actually particiate on the boards) who reach out with the proverbial olive branch. At least give them a chance to prove themselves.

Yeah yeah yeah I know.... this will probably come back and bite me in the a$$

Hi Fourteller,

Thank you for the post. I wish to point out that it seems you have the information on our promotions incorrect. We currently have the following Daily offers and wagering running at the moment:

  1. <el sniperoono>
We have loads of other promotions and freebies, but won't list them here (shilling).

I have sent you a private message requesting your login so that I may review your account. It might be that you are flagged on Rival's Bonus system and that is why you seeing offers with higher wagering. I will be able to advise once I have your account information.

Regards,
Tropica

Please no more promotional material. If you want to discuss your casino, by all means please do. But offering bonuses and talking about how speedy your payments are are off limits.

In other words, don't exploit the board. I've already showed several i-Gaming reps the door this past week. Don't be another.
