Bryan, while 50% is way over the top (IMO)....I like the idea, and am in agreement with Just Play and Mercy. It might be something to look at in the future. Even a very small amount from each and every PaB'er could make a huge difference in the long run. I'd like to see a discussion, maybe even a poll on this, to see how others feel.

Maybe 50% of the CASHOUT might be excessive, but if it is merely 50% of the WINNINGS, this is more in line with the "no win, no fee" litigation schemes, and there are PLENTY of takers for these still.

There is STILL the $500 fee for BOGUS complaints, but how to enforce it is the problem, usually it is just a banning from the forum.

Maybe a fee could be asked for in SOME cases, perhaps where players APPEAR to have chanced their luck with a "loophole", and if the claim proves bogus, the fee is kept, but is returned if the PAB was made in good faith.

I actually think this is a good idea. Not 50% but maybe a percentage, or whatever the person wants to donate. Twenty dollars even, can go a long way for some charities.

Yeah, seeing as something like only 6% of what you give actually ends up where you expect it too, the rest of it goes on 'wages' & 'expenses' etc.

Really goes a long way to lining someones pockets anyway..

You don't know too much about charities do you?

Have you ever heard of ASPCA?

How about St. Jude?

Large, well-known charities, like St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital commits .85 cents for every dollar donated to helping these unfortunate children. They turn no child in need away regardless of ability to pay.

Many Greyhound charities are the same, people volunteer and don't get paid for the health costs, adopting them to loving families etc...

Those are just a few off the top of my head.

Edit...of course some money has to go for overhead?

And me thinks this episode has come to an end. Thank you all for an intriguing discussion.

If anyone would like to continue a discussion on PAB percentages donated to charity, feel free to begin another thread.
