Regarding Royal Vegas Casino and the Fortune Lounge Group

So, any news about this matter?
This is something I am quite interested to know about, given the notoriety of the group.
Cheers

Hi

Please read the subsequent posts. The issue has been resolved.

Not sure what you mean by "notoriety of the group" ??

Wim

Perhaps you missed this:

The FL Group of casinos is one of the best run groups out there, so I don't get what you mean with "notoriety". Perhaps something was lost in the translation. :p

Yes, I definitely missed the last part of this thread... forgot to move along the pages!

Regarding the "notoriety", nothing was lost in the translation, because I simply don't use it.
In Portuguese, "notoriedade", like in English (I think), is related with fame, celebrity or publicity, and we use this word to refer to somebody we respect, not the opposite. Isn't it?
FL is a well-known group in online gambling market, for good reasons and good practices (I have accounts and I am a depositor with some of their casinos and I am very satisfied with that, actually), and that's what I meant.
I should say I am then very satisfied to know that this matter got resolved the best way.

Hope this clarifies everything.

Cheers

Hi manuels58

Thank you for clarifying. The word could also have a negative connotation so I was not sure what you meant.

I am glad to hear that you play with us and wish you best of luck.

In English, notoriety usually means well-known or famous for ill-behaviour.

Glad the confusion was cleared.

Ups!
Thanks for your useful explanation.
Once again sorry for this misunderstanding.

"Notoriedade" in Portuguese, or "Notoriété" in French means celebrity or fame. It's neither a positive nor a negative thing.

Notoriety in English also means celebrity or fame, but only in a negative way. (ie: someone notorious (publicly known) for stealing cars).

Interesting . Around here the word "notorietate" a.k.a notoriety means to be well known , high reputation , famous . Officialy its neither a good thing nor a bad thing . But for some reason we only use the word when describing something bad . For example a murderer or criminal . Can`t tell a tv star that he / she is notorious , because one would think that the person is known for having a bad reputation .
When i saw the post i also thought that he thinks the group has a bad reputation .
Glad you sorted things out ...
