No one's more surprised than me to find myself playing this for real money! (Amongst other NetEnt slots.)
Got an offer through from Redbet last night, 150 free spins on Space Wars for a deposit of €50 or more. I loaded up Space Wars in free play and the minimum spin value is 40c so that's €60 of credits for a €50 deposit which basically makes it a 120% match bonus, albeit with a 40xBW (bonus winnings) WR, so I decided to have a punt. (It's just about EV neutral if you assume €50 of winnings from the spins and factor in an RTP of 97%, but I'd be the first to admit it's pretty marginal, although with a maximum exposure of €50 I figured I'd have a crack at it.)
Got just shy of €50 off the 150 free spins on Space Wars, which is kind of alright I guess, but its ability to chuck out so many 10-20 spin dead patches really is shocking considering the low variance.
From there I moved to Reel Rush on 50c spins, it played reasonably kindly and over a couple of hundred spins I managed to get my balance up to €150, but as I've already said earlier in this thread, it does get very old, very quickly, 3125 ways to win in the free spins isn't enough to make it interesting, it definitely needs another hook, so I moved on....
Old favourite Evolution coughed a poor paying bonus round off about 20 spins on 50c plays, then went on a horrible 320 spin dead patch before launching into a 230x stake bonus round to put me back in the game.
With a balance of €200 I moved over to DoA (why the hell not?
) and ground away at that on 27c spins for about 90 minutes. Balance mostly held steady before starting to head south, with one horrible bonus round after another (often 200 spins or more apart), before it finally coughed a 300x stake bonus round where I managed to get all five wilds for the extra five free epins - but alas, no all-wild winlines!
Play resumes today with a balance of €242 but I still have €1500 to wager!
It's weird with NetEnt slots, I'd never play them on a straight deposit because as a low-roller it's basically impossible to ever win except on something like DoA or JATB, but on a bonus with a WR, they're surprisingly tolerable due to the high RTP and low-medium variance.
