Reef Club/Just My Thoughts on the Situation

If this is true, then it is not the sort of behaviour expected from an OPA casino member and I hope the delegates in Vegas have an opportunity for some frank exchanges with the CON people. A little more transparency in these issues would be advisable.

Just wanted to confirm that I have never attempted to open multiple accounts at CON. I've only had one account there and have been playing there for at least two years. I never tried to open an account at Reef Club either. I too noticed that kind of language in each of their emails, but I haven't attempted to open any second accounts.

Thanks for clearing it up. Just reading the three in succession like that makes those references stick out like their trying to make a point or something. Probably just standard procedure.

I'm sure hoping this all gets cleared up.

For what it's worth, you seem pretty level headed and did playout the terms required.

That being the case, I fully agree that it's their perogative to say we don't want to gamble with you anymore, AFTER settling up on whatever was in your account.

A question comes to mind. Were you able to complete the wager thru terms on the last bonus that is in question here before the account was closed?

What happened was I deposited $100 and wagered about $150 or so. The requirement to receive the bonus for the promo I was playing was to gather 10 bonus points ($100 wagering). Blackjack was not too kind to me and I ended at $61.50. Then the next day I received the email telling me my account was closed because I abused their generosity. What's strange is that later that afternoon I received the "Congratulations! Your account has been credited with $25 bonus" email.

Well, just received an email telling me my account balance will be paid to me. Vahe, the casino manager, said that it was due to the security department acting in error by not returning my money when the account was closed. He said they will be reprimanded.

As Caruso stated over at WOL, considering that at least three CSRs and six Emails were involved this must have been some kind of a problem!!!.

It smacks rather of a unilateral decision hastily withdrawn in the face of an overwhelmingly adverse reaction from the players posting at WOL from what I have heard.

My personal view is that CON is doing some pretty strange things lately and needs watching. Closely.

Hopefully our colleagues in Vegas are monitoring here and will add this distasteful incident to their questions for CON.

I don't casinos are making it a secret that they are ALL going to be watching player habits more closely and cutting the strict bonus,{IE: advantage bonus player out.} An ocassional, isolated instance of 100.00 is not the decision they are making. IMO

Over the course of a years time, this could easily amount to 50,000 thousand, small, isolated 100.00,IE: Advantage Bonus transactions. They consider some of these as abusing their generosity. Their perogative.

So it's very possible that it's a 5 Million dollar business decision if you look at it from their perspective.

No doubt an indication of a tightening market, excessive competition and a decrease in the U.S. player base due to credit card, PayPal and "UNCONSTITUTIONAL" Government interference!{Had to slide that last one in! LOL}

I don't view this as an attempt to mistreat anyone, just a statement that we're going to have to run a tighter ship and control themselves as it relates to the conditions and type of player they are} willing to accept a wager under.

Having said that, a little advance PR and a general advance public notice might have been appropriate. Guys like Aces up there might have said to themselves, "I have been a little too selective and just playing the bonues for Minimum" and might have dropped in a regular deposit just BECAUSE of that. Unfortunately, that will never be known cause he didn't feel he was abusing. And technically he wasn't. JMO

One last thought on this and I gotta get to work. Why ban these guys at all?

Isn't there a way to just say "You are no longer allowed to use any of the promotional offers that we run"???

Or is that just too hard to keep track of from a management perspective? Perhaps so with so many bonuses being an automated type thing.
