Similar thing happened to me. Paying the Pirate's Plenty Megaways, then connection went off and when main casino page reloaded, I had +800x bet approx already on my account added-I thought I won some bonus or tournament... So went to load the game again and it went all the way through free spins to exact number that was already added.
Will be interesting to see if there is something like that done for the base game as well.. Out of curiosity, if so and we can see in some code predetermined bet X.times amout of wins on spins ahead - we can choose the bet size to play on

For game recovery purposes, it's very likely that the game plays out the free games (or whatever feature you trigger) on the server the moment you trigger them. This means that if the client is disconnected for some reason, or goes in to an unrecoverable state, the overall bonus outcome can still be credited to the player. Its a very common way of coding..
