redbet change of bonus WR from x40b to x25(d+b)

I use to play regularly at redbet and sometimes also use the vouchers for the weekly and the monthly deposit bonuses.

This weekend I also decided to use the weekend bonus of 30%. I was used to the x40b structure - so I began to play and after some wagering I checked the remaining wagering requirements of the pending bonus.
I shockingly recognized that the WR was not set to x40b but to x25(d+b) which effectively changed the weekly bonus from from an x40b to x108b and the monthly from x40b to x75b.

I ask myself: redbet isn't this a little bit of an overkill here? Don't want to moan generally but I was really shocked about this extreme increase of WR.
You did not even change the bonus-system so that you can withdraw your winnings when playing with own funds only. You are stuck to this abnormal wagering requirements from the beginning.

Just like to share this to you if you not yet noticed.

25 dxb is insane on a 30% bonus. They could have easily put the new wagering requirements in the email they send out. Did you double check with CS that this is correct and not some error?

Have to agree. That kind of WR is unacceptable in my opinion as an almost certain loss.

Makes it a completely worthless bonus if you ask me.

Yes. Have a look yourself: You must register/login in order to see the link.

An increase of wagering requirements itself is not the problem. Alarming is how MUCH they increased it.

Again stupid WR term They should have some sort of scale like wagering on bonus under 50% should be same as before but over 50% the new requirement.
In order to get the full 30 you have to deposit 100 so wagering would be 3250. 3250 on 30 quid is ..... I am at a loss for words.:(

RedBet, WhiteBet and HeyPoker used to be among my favorites.
Now with their bonuses limited to one brand and obscene wagering they are just...meh.
    Imho bad management nowadays.

I opened an account here recently (playing in euros bleh) just to give them a shot but never paid attention to their bonus structure. I think when I logged in friday or sat (can't remember) they had updated their terms and conditions because I got a notification upon logon about that but I did not bother to have a real good look.

x25 (d+b) is really insane. Correct my maths if I'm wrong but if you deposit say $50 and take 30% bonus at those WR thats effectively $50 + $15 bonus = $65 x 25 = $1625.

$1625 wagering required on what is really a $15 bonus?! Ah I miss the old days when it was x30 or x35 bonus only ($15 x 30 = $450 or $15 x 35 = $525). I hate these 'deposit+bonus' WR because they are not making it simple for people to understand while at the same time they are listing the wagering requirements as lower in the hope to catch people out who may have missed that it is bonus + DEPOSIT and not bonus alone.

How do they expect people to beat those WR is beyond me. Sadly enough redbet isn't the only place with those ridiculous WR there are quite a few. I honestly think they should offer more of an incentive if people actually take these bonus and manage a withdrawal or just don't offer them at all if its not reasonable.

Really disappointing Redbet, the old 40xB was bad enough. But 25xd+b is mental, especially considering that the bonuses on offer is normally 50% or less. Redbet consider yourself deposit banned!

The manager must have been so sick of advantage play that he had a breakdown and changed the bonus-WR from reasonable to outrageous.
Nevertheless it would be helpful to hear redbets opinion about this.

    Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm VERY disappointed that I have to find out by reading a post on the forum, when I have been working with (promoting) Redbet since 2012... You might have thought they would tell their "marketing partners" about this very important change

Wow I rarely take any think less than 100% unless free spins are involved also and only wager on bonus,

25x D&B Would be a stretch as it is even for a 100% bonus but thats still a jump from 40x to 50x which is pretty bad, but to whack it on d&b for a messy 30% is an outrage, It comes as no surprise as alot of sites are doing this and if it carry's on than I can see a few losing many of players,

    Old rules £100 + £30 bonus, Wager £1200

    new rules £100 + £30 bonus, Wager £3250 :what:

    Good morning folks,

Hope you are well and had a lovely weekend! I would like to shed some light on this subject.

It certainly is a good morning, as after the discussion I had with our Casino Manager it seems that we will turn a bad thing like increasing the wager requirement into a positive my friends :)

The 30% bonuses will practically not be seen anymore and we will be changing the weekend top-up from 30% to 50%. As you may noticed we'll lower or drop the use of the lowest bonuses and bump up the percentages. Additionally, 1st deposit bonuses are still at a very fair wagering (50x bonus) and the highest bonus percentages offered have dropped in wagering.

On the other hand, "KasinoKing" my friend, about 20 minutes ago I’ve sent you a proof with the newsletter that was sent to all our partners on the 30 April 2015 15:50 where we mentioned the change of our wager requirements, but it seems that for some reason you didn’t received it. Sorry about that:)

As ever, if you need anything specific or an exclusive bonus please just let me know by PM me with your request and we will gladly assist you.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Marius

Thankfully I've never joined but sure won't be now.

I hope I'm not out of order by viewing such terms as "predatory". Casinos can make money from bonus terms on 30 or 40 x WR on bonus without the need to fool people into not realising the implications of a d + b at when such bonus is 50% or less. In my view any respectable casino simply adopts the standard 4% or 5% house edge whilst offering the player a reasonable chance.

    I'm happy losing if:

    a) I had a reasonable chance of winning
    b) The amount lost at least provided reasonable entertainment in the process.

    Hi Marius,

Glad you dropped in to let us no, Even so a 50% bonus with a 25x D&B is is at the top of the Richter scale for bonus terms, I see that you mentioned first deposit bonus is fair but most of us would of used that anyway,

There is people that do not take a bonus but there's plenty that do & works out pretty high wager,

Before the change it would of been 100 deposit and 30 free with a wager of 1200

Now with the 50% you will get an extra 20 on a 100 deposit but wager will now be 3750

so for extra 20 you have an extra 2550 wager so in reality that extra 20 has a turn over at 127.5x

Ok so what do you mean by a "good thing"?

    With a €100 deposit getting a 30% 40xB bonus, the player is expected to have €88 post-wagering.

    With a €100 deposit getting a 50% 25xD+B bonus, the player is expected to have €18,75 post-wagering.

    This is assuming 96.5%RTP.

    Good thing indeed..
