tLOTR is the ONLY game I can win at lately. What on Earth is going on? :(

For those who follow the wining screen shots thread, you'll know that I've had some great wins on the aforementioned slot, as well as countless wins on a variety of other games, but the majority of my wins have been on tLOTR. Actually, to the point where a user (forgot the name, sorry) Christened me "Queen of the Rings"

Anyway, you may have also noticed (or you can check) that I haven't contributed to that thread for quite some time now. The reason is I haven't actually won ANYTHING on any other slot except for tLOTR. I just don't bother posting my wins from tLOTR because I'm tired of doing so; it's getting monotonous if I'm being honest.

For example - earlier I made a deposit of £150 @ Ladbrokes and played a few games, including BdBA, TSII, Center Court, Tally Ho and Thunderstuck (original). I won nothing, so made another £150 deposit. This time I played tLOTR and quickly won £200 bringing my balance up to £350.

I went and tried BdBA 'again', but got shit all, so tried Dolphin Tale; nothing. Santa's Wild Ride; nothing. Robin Hood; nothing. Ho-Ho-Ho; nothing.

My balance was back down to £150 in no time. So off I went to tLOTR and AGAIN got a big win and was back up to £380 this time.

Tried a host of other slots including Mermaid's millions; nothing. Isis; nothing. Supe it Up; nothing. Woolly World; nothing. etc etc and lose and lose until AGAIN I was at £150.

I, for the love of Christ, went back to tLOTR and within 3 spins hit 4 rings for £15 + 15 FS which retriggered TWICE wining me another £224. My balance was just over £300 at this point.

Lost it all on 'other games' again and decided to give up.

It's been like this for about a week; win on tLOTR, then lose it all on ANY other game I dare to play. Why? I know I'm just being paranoid, but these circumstances are breeding my paranoia to the point where I'm starting to believe I'm being forced to play tLOTR and nothing more.

Somebody PLEASE tell me you've experienced something like this and it will pass. I'm really frustrated :puke:

I have had simular experiences in the past on the pokermachines/blackjack, no good on most of them apart from 1 or 2 that seemed be consistantly giving good runs of wins.

But over the years i've had patches of win on anything and every thing and lose every single bet and the range of possibilities inbetween, got to the point of parinoia belived it must be fixed, things like depositing and winning, withdrawing then losing etc etc.

At some time if you play long enough things will happen like getting lucky/unlucky, just because its on one machine you think somthings up.

Do you stake simularly on the other games you play?

Not to mention awhile back if you hit the 100th spin you knew the feature was hitting soon. Not now it is like 300 400 spins. I am finding rtg just as tight. I play the same mg games you do and no luck either.

Do you stake simularly on the other games you play?

I normally play 243 way slots @ £1.50 per spin. 50 and 40 line slots @ £2 per spin, 30 and 25 line slots @ £1.50 per spin, 15 and 9 line slots @ £1.50 and £0.90 respectively.
There is some alternating to try and mix it up but I'm pretty set in my ways.

EDIT - I do frequently alter the coin value, and then bet the same amount (to see if this makes things better)

I would say you have come full circle of the games of chance. Chances are you will only have good runs for just so long and then it all dies, this is typical for any regular/frequent player.

That's the bad thing about having really good luck, then one thinks that it's always going to be that way. I myself thought that after hitting countless Count Spectacular wilds at 3-4 over and over and even hit 5 for max payout. This gave me the misconception that this game was a fountain of easy money.

Hello, wrong, since then I haven't seen hardly any Counts even scroll by let alone stop in a winning position. Thousands of spins, hours of play and only the most miniscule wins were to be had.

So not bad luck, you have now experienced the ebb and tide of gambling. In between the big wins, the average player will get none to small wins. If you have deposited $150 and won $300, most of the time that's when you should call it a day, as no matter what you try you will not advance beyond that and most likely lose it back.

Count your lucky stars that you have had such a great run, as most players don't even get close to that, ever.

On another note, there has been serious differences in the games since 2006, no proof, except an individuals return after a period of time. I myself have tried to keep a positive attitude about online gambling until I was playing Paradise Dreams, RTG, yesterday.

In all the years I have played RTG, Paradise Dreams was always one of my favorites that I have played a lot. Yesterday I got the Flower feature bonus round, where you pick the flowers for multipliers of your wager.

I picked 3 flowers that were 1x my wager! Never in all the years playing this game have I ever gotten flowers less than 2x wager.

So thank you RTG and the DOJ, you have certainly given me the incentive to finally uninstall the last remaining casino from my computer for good.

But I wish you luck and remember, eventually all good things come to and end sooner or later, just the way it is.

Moral to my wordy thoughts, Gambling is like a marriage, you have to take the bad with the good if you want to play.

Stuff like that happens.. unfortunately it does and its not uncommon.
Exept for your luck on LOTR thats VERY uncommon.:p

Last weekend I won $1500.- in the Rushmore tourney. Nice!:D
First thing I did was upgrading my PC.
I was actually forced to because my old one had a meltdown.

But last Friday everything was up and running again, fresh XP, healthy Netellerbalance and loads of 100% matchbonuses to be taken. (32RED group, Betway, Spin Palace, Purple Lounge)
The games played superfast and smooth, so I wanted to play this weekend.:D

Now its mondaymorning, I lost 17 deposits (between 20.- and 50.-), playing mostly minimumstakes and hit absolutly NOTHING. Zip, nada, zilch.
Only once I managed to get over my startingbalance, 30 bucks, and that was all..
This was really my most horrible MG weekend ever. :(

So you're not alone, and yes, it will pass.
Just an enormous amount of bad luck.
At least you hit something on LOTR.
I played thousands of spins on it in the past few days, my biggest hit?
Just over 40x bet.
That game can be sooo cruel!

Next week will be better. It cannot possibly be worse.;)

And Papa-ya, I've played Paradise Dreams alot too in the past, I'm almost sure the minimum for a flower was 2x bet?
Cant remember ever getting 1x bet.

My appologies H1_Roller, lost my head on my own rant.

I will say however, in any casino you play, if you are a frequent player you will not only enjoy the bonanza of the good times but also the bad times, but eventually things come around again and you're back on top for a time.

So just tuck some away for the dry spells, they don't last either.

You won $1500 in the rushmore tourney? How on earth did u manage THAT?? I could never hit anything at all and kinda gave up after seeing some of the same people win the big prizes.

It was me Queenie! :) But my thoughts are that perhaps cause you "know" you will win on LOTR you perservere MORE on that game than others - playing $1.50 a spin if you have 50 spins with nothing there is $75 which is not a lot of spins to get the feature in, but when you go to LOTR you spin UNTIL you get something????

I never won anything too, until I hit 5 wilds in free spins last week.:D
No rebuys or continues in those tourneys, so they are as fair as it gets I think.
This week I came in 12th for 75.-.
Lost that in a new world record.
Just keep trying, thats what I did..
Good luck!

I have played LOTR at Ladbrokes. I hit the feature on that game 3-4 times more than at any other MG Casino. Maybe (as you pointed out before) the game just gets much more play than anywhere else. I do understand that Ladbrokes has a massive customer base.

LOTR is wicked to me elsewhere. I am actually 'afraid' to play the game anywhere else. It takes 200-300 spins + for me to trigger the FS and sometimes don't even make up my loss. When the Slot was released, I had wins of $10k plus... betting $15 and $30 like a madman...

Inevitably luck doesn't always persist every session. The games you mentioned in your original post are mostly high variance. I would opt for games like Reel Strike, Mermaid Millions, Spring Break, Ho Ho Ho, Mad Hatters ... The wins may be smaller than LOTR but they can keep you going for quite some time.

Ho Ho Ho gives the FS VERY Frequently. I have had 100 FS (4 Retrigs) in a session and although the wins are not huge, I end up with 100-150x bet (Sometimes). For me, HoHoHo gives the FS on average between 80-100spins (KK would probably give you the exact figures :))

In any event, It's the norm, Win some, lose a lot :)

Those bet values sound a bit high for the higher variance slots you play with a bank of only £150-£200...
How many spins did you typically play on all those losing slots before giving up?

Regarding the opening post; no I don't think I've ever seen any luck as extreme as that.
I have from time to time had favourite slots where I always used to win something (Scoop the Cash was one of them - you didn't mention that - have you tried it?), but I can't remember losing on every other slot I tried.

Sounds like you'd better stick to tLOTR then!

The odds are 1 free-spin trigger in every 94 pulls - so you were about right there!
The same for Twister & Munchkins of course, since they are clones.

I'm not sure how many spins I normally play before giving up, but it's usually when I can't even win more 2x bet in lots of spins (normally 2 scatters is my biggest win).

As for sticking with tLOTR; I don't WANT to. I want to play different games and have some fun. I genuinely don't mind losing (eventually) so long as I get a run for my money. But the only slot I get anything on lately is tLOTR.
I went earlier on and gave HoHoHo a quick go, and got free spins after 152 spins @ £1.50 per spin. I won £14.10

KK or any other forum member - If this is not a derail, could you kindly post which MG slots have clones?

I am aware of :

TS1 - Springbreak, Adventure Palace, Ladies Night and Agent Jane Blonde
Isis - Supe It Up
Hohoho - Twister and Munchkins (Thanks)

That's normal. In my experience, I continue playing the Slot until I peak back to my original balance or go above it. It is not uncommon to get smaller FS wins and get the FS even 20 - 100 spins later with plenty of Retrigs.

The 1st one or two FS rounds can play low... usually get the feature later and get back up or over :)

This is absolutely not my business, and sorry if I offend you even in the slightest way, but I can't help telling this, and I might be completely, absolutely wrong. If so, I apologize in advance a hundred times. But I simply feel this, and I have seen it many times already. Based on the screenshots, your profile and posts, I tend to think that you might have to face the risk of a possible gambling problem at some point of time in the future if you leave things going on their own. This is also based on my own personal experience. You are definitely not there, and I strongly think that you will never get there. But some devil inside me and me reading people come to CM, post, and after a while go keep telling me: watch out, careful.
Again, I needed to share this, and I did it with good intention.

The longer you play slots, the more likely you are to achieve the 'long term' payout ... which is to LOSE (allowances must be made for advantage play). As cliche as it sounds, the only way to win at casino games in the long run, is to literally 'quit when you're ahead'. Not just stop for a while, then start back, but to quit. Take the money and run.

A losing streak is no more 'suspect' than a winning streak.

I must admit I have had the same thoughts.

It really is pure coincidence you keep having these wins on LOTR. I have been in a cycle of losing large amounts on all slots but having some good VP wins, I haven't had a proper win on slots in months. Getting a 100x slots win would feel like a miracle, yet I have had more Royals than I would expect to see.

Maybe it's time to low roll for a while or do a few tournaments. Or take some bonuses.

Bottom line is if you are ahead strongly and are not playing with bonuses then you will lose it back somewhere along the line, it has to happen unless you hit a progressive or something. If we don't play on a bonus the house edge will kill us all off eventually.

Thank you for your concern, and I take no offence whatsoever :)

Also - you are right, I am indeed a compulsive gambler who probably deposits £500 - £1000 per week at online casinos. I also withdraw somewhere around that weekly as well, sometimes much more, sometimes much less.

It's hard to know how the write the following paragraph(s) without seeming pompous. I hope it's taken and understood in the manner and tone it is written....

I will be honest with you (I'm only saying this because I appreciate your concern and don't want to look like someone who really has a big problem); I am in a very fortunate financial position. I've worked very hard to get where I am, and although I do make lots of deposits, and spend an awful lot, I also earn an awful lot. The money I spend at online casinos is not a lot of money to me (otherwise I wouldn't spend it).
When I introduced myself a few months back, I said I was a full-time housewife, but I'm also self-employed (I work from home). I just wasn't about to lay out a full description of myself to complete strangers on an internet forum. :)

I really hope that doesn't make me look like a stuck-up bitch or whatever. I'm just being honest.

Beach Babes is also a clone of Isis/Supe it Up.

Some more I know are clones:
Alaskan Fishing / Robin Hood - Feathers of Fortune
Deck the Halls / Queen of Hearts
Secret Admirer / Good to Go

Those are all I can think of for now.

TS1 - Springbreak, Adventure Palace, Ladies Night and Agent Jane Blonde AND My Slot, Summertime... and probably a few others!

And in addition to those De Beuker posted:
The "Sneak a Peak" trio
Halloweenies = DogFather
Tomb Raider 1 = Bush Telegraph, Mermaids Millions, Wasabi San & WorldCup Mania
Big Kahuna = Chocolate Factory
Loaded = Sure Win & The Palace Group Slot (and maybe some others..?)
Avalon = Santa Paws
Cabin Fever = Elementals

I think that's about all of them... as far as I am aware! ;)
