I am about at the end of my rope with online casinos and i am seriously thinking of taking an extended vacation. I am not venting because there is nothing to vent. Most times i am getting bored to tears with whats left for the USA and i am not getting any enjoyment out of gambling anymore. I never thought i would see the day that i would not jump on a free bonus or juicy match bonus but the day has finally come. I was so disappointed tonight after a lot of deposits to not even get a crumb i shook my head. I wasn't mad not at all just disappointed and tired. Just so so very tired .......:eek2: I have never felt this way and i am just wondering is this normal and just a passing faze or is the thrill really gone:confused:

Personally, I do take breaks from casinos from time to time. Gambling is fun mostly when it's occasional. Then, if you win, it's thrilling, and if you lose, no big deal because it's just a little mad money (assuming you never play with money you can't afford to lose). Typically, I break from it for a month. When I go back, I find it exciting, even if I don't win. Good luck, whatever you do, Rena. :)

As you said a break might be in order. At times I find myself getting bored with the offerings as well. Sometimes I'll just play free mode at a playtech, MG, or netnet casino. I just go down the list until I find a website that allows it. Some have our country (U.S.) blocked from any form of play but others like paddy power allow us to play the games in free mode. It's not the "same" in terms of the enjoyment but for me it kind of helps at times.

Hope you feel better. In the end I'm guessing a break or even saving a few deposits to perhaps visit the nearest B&M might be best.

yes, I know how you feel , anyone who go's into a casino online or land base should have some chance to win at the games they are playing, as of

lately I have stopped playing at online casinos due to the way online slots play out and I question if the software is fair, I played in las vegas this

last weekend and within the first hour won a $115.00 jack pot playing 20 lines at .05 , I see big differences in online play and land base and

find that online slots are just to tight for the payout pct% they claim to be, the land base with lower payout pct%s seem to pay better, I think you

should take a break at online and try going to land base casinos if you can, and if you cannot go to a land base, just save your money because I

think its not going to get any better for you. save up and buy something nice for yourself.

non-US players obviously have a bigger choice.......... have taken a few breaks from a cpl months to up to a year mainly cos I wasn't winning anything......

would then usually go thru a lot of winner screenshots and that'd make me try my luck again...

This part of your post I agree with, when you consider the fact that online slots are supposed to have a TRTP of around 95% and your doing better on land based slots 89% there's something wrong. IMPO the software is fair but I think the way the slots reach their TRTP is through giving allot of small wins but nothing ever big enough to put you ahead where you would actually consider cashing out and without the thrill of a big win where is the thrill? I know Netent does this on their new slots and they have a PRNG and IMO based on my own play MG is the same and this could explain why MG casinos don't have a certificate for the RNG on their slots. A PRNG is random but it's not purely random as it goes according to certain algorithms.

Rena you should try taking a break, I think it's important to take breaks even just for a week as gambling is habit forming by it's very nature so it's good to break up your play. I think this will help you with those negative feelings towards the slots as well. As with any form of entertainment when you take a break the next time you come back will make it even more entertaining because it's been a while since you last played. Hope you get a big win on your next spin :)

Oh and just to add: Won't be long until the good old people in the USA can play other softwares.

No its not about the deposits (i never play what i cant afford) i was just wondering if it was normal to not feel the same as when i first started. Really i only just started back to depositing and playing not so long ago. I mostly played the free slot tournaments then took care of my writing or what ever my hobby was at the time. I was just a bit confused as to my feelings and i was not sure if this is how some other players felt once or twice in their online experience. Thank you guys for your reply. Much food for thought.

Well last night did it for me. Even though i know of software issues at some casinos i have never ran into a problem that made me wary. Could blame my PC but after i played the two times i had issues i switched to tournament and the usual connecting issue but not what happened in real. I pretty much will be sticking to my free tournaments until i feel comfortable giving the reels a go again.

There is a danger with anything that you love to do becoming something you don't love anymore if you do too much of it. For me something is normally special because I don't get to do it as much as I would like, so when I do it I cherish it even more. On occasions when I have overdone it, done too much of what I love, I fall out of love with it.

Taking a break is good, but also try limiting your time when you do go back, so you have something to look forward to each time you play. I get half my enjoyment from the anticipation that I know I'm going to play. I do get bored when I'm playing sometimes, so I just stop. I gamble to enjoy myself and have fun, no other reason, so If I'm not getting that then its easy for me to stop for a while.

Hope you work out what you need. Good luck.

Well I hope you win yourself a bucket load on the tournaments good luck :)

I've been disgusted with our (USA) situation for many years. I've taken breaks, once for more than a year, another as long as almost 3 years, playing the occasional freebie tourney, or freebie bonus.

I still don't play online a lot. I'll play during holidays (don't ask me why, but I've always liked playing during holiday breaks LOL), and maybe deposit a couple times during any one month. Some months I don't deposit at all.

The thrill is gone. My choices of where to play are way too limited, depositing and withdrawing is a great hassle - when either even works at all....

I read more now. Took what would have been a couple or three deposits last year and purchased an eReader... actually I have more than one, because I liked that one so well. If you just stop playing for a little while, you may find other things more satisfying to keep you busy. Then you come back days/weeks later a bit refreshed, and play a little.

So true Mousey

Being in the USA really is disgusting and i know there are some casinos that even though they had to find inventive ways do manage to pay u. It is just dis heartening to deposit and then deal with issues on top of losing. I have found a few casinos that does the daily free rolls and i quite enjoy them they are very relaxing. You don't have to worry about losing your money as you claw your way threw the ranks and if your lucky you will get some free money along the way. I love to read also and the eReader sounds like just the thing to get me started back.
