Raging Rhino New HTML5 Version

So the new Rhino HTML5 port is now spreading across many casinos, live on Leovegas, BGO and many more.

Having played it for a few hours I think this new version sucks. The reels spin slower to start with, but then come to a stop uncomfortably quickly. You can't skip losing spins, there's still no autospin, and the "rhino roar" you get when free spins are retriggered happens at the "wrong time". Worst of all, the fast spin when the bonus is coming is now a lot more subtle and very hard to spot.

All this adds up to the " rhythm" of the game destroyed. It's now a pain in the arse to play. Well done SG for screwing it up.

I was playing the html5 Zeus3, same thing. No quick stop, no cancel of line add up or win counter, you have to wait for EVERY animation to finish. Torturous, and dumb.

Agreed, horrible and simply not the same game

IF and I mean IF you land a feature, re-triggers are nigh on impossible. Also noticed the small "keep level" type wins (regular 4OAK letters, mostly the 10's) have become much more scarce and that rage inducing Double Q, Double K on reel one is virtually glued to the f*king reel.

I am waiting to post "Oh This new HTML version is so much better than the original" about ANY game but something tells me I'll be long dead and buried before that happens

My God when Dunover finds out his favourite game has been ruined we better all dive for cover.

I hope there will be a full on hour rant video of a review :p

I can remember back in the day when it had the grey out autospin, a few sites like betfair used to launch it in a new browser window (full screen) - awesome game, smooth as butter gameplay.

Then autospin was removed and full screen rhino options also disappeared. Putting the. rhino inside the casino's own frames really degraded the performance, but still it was playable.

Now this HTML5 BS is the last straw. I've said goodbye to Rhino after 3 years because it is simply unplayable now. It boils down to the fact that Scientific Games seem to be crap at HTML5, you can see it in all their releases - not smooth, player unfriendly, horrible menus, unskippable wins etc. etc. Other providers like Netent don't seem to have this problem, and at least employ basic quality control...!

I agree with everyone else. Its another HTML 5 (BETA) or at least that's how these HTML 5 releases feel like. Very awkward to play, sounds are indeed out of sync sometimes. And is just all round a downgrade from the previous slot.:mad::mad:

I agree with all the comments here. The new version took my a bit by surprise when I deposited at Leo Vegas yesterday, but not a nice surprise. The reels spin and stop much too fast and I couldn't pick up on the short first reel spin when the feature drops either, which whilst probably unintentional, was a nice feature on the old version.

As for features, I got 5, for my £200 deposit (which didn't last long) all paid the Bonus Guarantee..............

As an aside, I note that the "count up" following each win on the HTML5 version of Gonzo has been removed (apologies if this has been reported elsewhere)

My biggest gripe with these HTML5 fails is that these providers knew they had to switch for quite some time so they had ample chances to get it right once they switched over to the new HTML5. But no they had to go and mess it up so now playing some games is pure torture. Also why remove the autospin from all the WMS games when they already had controls in place. Just dumb, dumb dumb all around.

Bottom line is these developers KNOW gamblers will always be gamblers and new players are entering the dark realms of online slotting each and every day.

With this in mind and their only interest being £££££'s we will be forced to "put up or shut up"

Sad times for "Old School" players.

why did they have to go HTML5 anyway?

everyone needs to vote with their dollar and stay away from all WMS/SG games. Maybe then they will listen.

We will all have to get used to HTML5 as flash is no longer supported.

When does Flash actually retire?

There was quite a lot of activity last year converting(doctoring) some of the older flash games to HTML5. But there's not been much this year, in comparison.

Obviously all new games are HTML5. But what about the huge back-catalogue that MGS and NetEnt have? Are they just going to write them off?

I was expecting the conversions to be released more and more often as time went on
