Raging Rhino misery

Rtp of all players at videoslots this month this far 87.2% ... uhmmmm

I'm surprised it's actually that HIGH. As far as I'm concerned, Rhino is officially ruined beyond repair. What a difference 12 months makes.
This time last year, Rhino was easily my favourite slot. Fast forward to today and it has been nearly FIVE MONTHS since I last played it.

And people moan about Bonanza and IR? At least you can get a half-decent game playing those two slots. Rhino offers nothing but a totally joyless experience now.

I dunno - I've done OK on old Raging Nine-o lately. The graphics are cumbersome now and the reels obviously gimped but still annoyingly familiar.

Pretty much word for word what I planned to post mate :(

Yeah, made first deposit with them this week also, fastest bust this year lol, plans back fired big time as I held off since joining till now as I knew this week would be shit money wise (rent/bills week :p)

Took the 2nd depo offer last night, dead again :(

Wary of joining too many since my 'life line' but so hard to resist their offers lol

Tend to try and spread deposits when I can and avoid WR too these days.

Luck shit right out for a while for now but no complaints given the run I had up to and just after Xmas :)

GL next punt m8

Thinking back to the good old days of smooth Flash, grey out autospin and fun, streaky gameplay on the beast.

Now behold the incompetently coded stuttering HTML5 reels, horrible maths (200x in before you see your first bonus (guarantee...)), a pale husk of its former glory.

SG totally suck at HTML5 full stop. I'm not sure the original (pre-SG takeover) WMS team is even in place any longer.

I'm beta-testing three new stand alone UK casinos this weekend (due for launch next week) and they all have the old version. If only auto-play made a return life would be complete!

The game feels so different and quickspin makes the dead spells a little more bearable!

The new Rhino is truly awful if it says SG in bottom left do not play it. I had 7 features at trada there 2 just over FG(the other 5 FGs) hundreds of bad dead spins in base game, Best hit 30x. Fucking dreadful. It's not just you who's getting shafted Dunover!

When I watched a recent Dunover production, whose videos I have enjoyed for nearly 2 years, I think he took a big chunk off the trada rhino rtp the other day with a large cheetah win.

I am a bit torn between the new and old version, I find the new version tends to give me more retriggers in the bonus, I can still play the old version at whill, betfair and virgin but it tends to eat my balance faster.

I've had my best times x win on the new version: 216 ways of rhino at 40p stake @£648, however I think the old version was more capable of being streaky and you could get several good wins over a week. Although I think the old version also started to change prior to the new html version coming out, the bigs wins disappeared.

Its still a very addictive game though even after all these years, I don't know why sg/williams didn't take the rhino format and do other themes, they made several colossal reel type games but only 1 rhino type with its potential for big wins. I've played spartacus and giant's gold alot and you could never win £648 from a 40p spin, in fact when I started to play rhino I thought what a waste of money I had spent on the colossal reel games for bugger all in return and yet their rtp is slightly higher than rhino I think.

Even today I played rhino at coral, £10 deposit, got to £30 then went and played giants gold as it had hammered me the other day, it decided to hammer me again, it took the whole £30 at 30p spins with no bonus, foolishly I thought I'm going to try and get a bonus, £50 later at 40p spins and still with no bonus I had to call it a day. My worst shame was when I won over £1800 on the rhino, and then got tied up with that frigging giant's gold and it took £600 at £1.20 and in return gave me one bonus for about £19.

A recent tactic i've tried if the rhino is raping rather than raging, is to switch to montezuma, and recently I got a £52 win at 30p, which I then promptly donated to the bonanza relief cause.

[sorry for the length of reply, i'm a newbie at CM, but I must learn to be more succinct]

BOTH versions of the Rhino are now total shit and no way do they live up to anywhere near their TRTP.

Original (Flash) Rhino when it existed alone, long before this HTML5 nonsense was probably one of the fairest games out there.

I have lots of big win videos / screenshots on the original, played HTML5 when released quite often and didn't manage to capture oven ONE, says it all really.

I have practically given up altogether on what was once my all time fave game now, cannot see the point, knowing I will lose before I even load the game up!"

I've just stupidly loaded it up 55 mins ago, and now I have £145 less in my pocket. Oh dear what a plonker, by writing my post above I must have bloody triggered a desire to play it.

If I had played at £2 stake rather than my set in concrete policy of 40p I could have taken a £100 rhino win early on and legged it.
I must be a glutton for punishment as i'm now considering playing Bonanza in the hope of a unusual win to recover losses.

My love affair with this game lasted approximately 25 minutes a few months ago, when taking some leftover winnings and dreaming of orange- filled screenshots.

As this never transpired, I instead managed to lose about £80 on minimum bets, with absolutely 0 fun thrown in for good measure!!

I think I missed the boat by about three years. And I didn't like the look of it then either, the thieving rigged orange wanker :eek:

I never liked the look of it at first, I thought it was some sort of safari game, and when I first started playing slots I obsessively played spartacus at 10p or if feeling brave 20p. rhino's minimum stake of 40p seemed to me at the time a reckless amount. And in hindsight I think I was right, you can burn big holes in your pockets with 40p stakes.

I'm beginning to think though I should up my stakes but do far less spins, I just played lucky lady charm at 10p, it cost in total £7 to trigger the bonus but it gave me 120 spins and around £38, so playing at say 50p stake I would have been quids in.

FWIW, you can get huge wins on the Earlier Novo's fro 0.10p bets. Had a few 800x or thereabouts over the months. Maybe not withdrawal time but gives a decent balance to move onto "other things"

Last year I did go a bit silly and started to try and do £1-2 spins, partly chasing losses and dug myself into a deeper hole but then I found solace in a few of the novamatic games, doing 10p spins at sky vegas' selection. I like the "other things" it conjured up in my mind something mysterious like a deep secret known only to the initiated; you do have to try and make wise choices with slots and I think I kept making unwise choices and still do :(

I know, like most we tread cautiously, and through various unlikely wins raise our hopes to unrealistic levels

Slot selection is everything, I believe the likes of Bonanza skew expectations and provide almost no value for money.

It's best to take a step back and play the lesser- known slots, even if just to get some semblance of playtime
