Quetion about jackpots

Got me wonder what is to stop a casino from having players(bots) gambling 24/7 at highest stakes to try and hit the jackpot and keep the jackpot in the casino but declare it a "normal" winner?

In theory the casino loses nothing as the money the player is gamble can be wiped away and never be lost or won.

Is this possible to do, i know it's a tin foil hat type question.

I'm guessing that would be rather expensive for the casino because a good wedge of each bet is put into the progressive pot. This is why many casinos now ban progressive games when playing a bonus as the casino loses out.
