Problem with iPoker CPU usage through the roof suddenly today?

Hi everyone, I guess this is more a poker query than casino, but I am quite desperate for an answer and figured many more people may see the topic here. If its totally unacceptable I guess the mods will move it and I apologise if that is the case.

All of a sudden today any iPoker client i load - Betfred, Coral, Paddy Power etc - has enormous CPU usage, over 30percent idle up to 100 with just a handful of tables, and I am running a monster PC here - overclocked Core i5 @ 4.5ghz - I'm unaware of the usual load level but it's DEFINITELY nothing like this - its causing the whole machine to lag horribly, I keep clicking check/bet/fold and then realising nothing has happened several seconds later. Is anybody else experiencing this? Or have you ever seen it before? Any and all help seriously appreciated

They can take some beating espeialy when updating the download games,
Have you checked whats actually eating the cpu up, in task manager ?
