Pre-paid card from Neteller by end May

Have those Neteller fools shipped these cards to anyone?

I contacted Neteller yesterday and asked about the new card and the email they sent with the card being launched towards the end of May let them kindly know this time has come and passed.
I was informed that the card is still going to be sent out but a time frame on when thats going to happen is unknown.
I'd say the operator has had this question a few times over as i got a response to the question straight away with the live chat saying "no time frame" & "a email will be sent out when the card is going to be launched".
So as you see i got nowhere.

Hi Gang,

Spoke to a call operator at Neteller once again today about the launch of the neteller card. this was the response so things are still lokking good hopefully.

Peter: Yes hello my inquery is in regards to the neteller card and when thats due to be launched to the public
Darcy: I do apologize, there has been a delay in issuing these new pre paid cards. Please continue to check our web site as we should advertise the launch of this new card there. Unfortunately we do not have an exact date just yet but should have this updated on our web site when we do.
Peter: ok but it is still happeing though?
Peter: happening*
Darcy: Yes, we do believe they should be available in June.
Peter: Thank you very much

Maybe it's just test our patience :oops:

Ok once again me being impatient spoke to a call operator with Neteller and was advised that the card is going to probably be the end of July now.
This is costing me small withdrawal amounts as I think its not worth taking the small amounts out via EFT or whatever as it would take to long.

Hmmmm... Chase the big one I suppose , I wouldnt mind waiting a few days for anything over 1K.

These Neteller folks are none too good at meeting their own deadlines, it appears. At this stage it seems unlikely that they are going to meet the promised "before the end of June" for the new card, and they make no mention of it at all in their latest press release (see the thread "Neteller, the DoJ and the IRS")

And the original 75 day window they set themselves to pay out frozen funds to US players was not met either early this month - they're now talking about hoping to finalise the DoJ investigation by July 13.

But if we're pissed off, think about their investors - shares still suspended since January, delayed annual results, withdrawing will-nilly from profitable markets and generally frustrating, worrying and annoying the clients with high handed and uncommunicative attitudes.

Professional crisis management and customer sensitivity have clearly not been high on the Neteller agenda.

I hate you Neteller!

situation in Germany

Hi, I am living in Germany and got the information about the new card by neteller on the first days of June. According to the information on the neteller-site it will be an Altair prepaid card. Altair endeed is a specialist for prepaid cards, also gaming cards. But I also can not find a place on the neteller website to order such a card. The promissed German live-chat is not alive. I get my money from neteller via wire-transfer, without problems until now. But since 2 months the menu for updating a bank account is inactiv so it remains a doubtful living with these Neteller guys.

I got the card last week. I have my pin no. I have not been able to activate the card. I dont know what the problem is.

Im not sure where to load funds. They have not created the site for reload outlets yet. Neteller does not appear to have any information on their own site.

Yes the new card looks the business and exactly what I was looking for, so hopefully things start running smoothly once they iron out the small details

Congratulations to all Canadian Neteller members!

I just wanted to say congratulations to all fellow Canadian Neteller members...

As you might remember last communication from Paypal we've received was:

Press Release
NETELLER Announces New Prepaid Cards for Europe and Asia Pacific

Thursday, 3 May 2007 –NETELLER Plc (LSE: NLR), the independent global online payments business, today announced the first product in a new suite of prepaid, reloadable debit and remittance cards for its customers in Europe and Asia Pacific.

The first of these products, a new prepaid card, is tied to a customer’s NETELLER e-wallet account, and can be used at over 24 million ATMs and Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals worldwide.

“The ability for our customers to access and use funds from their e-wallets at over 24 million online and offline outlets worldwide is very important to both them and us.” said Ron Martin, NETELLER President and CEO. “As we continue to grow our business in Europe and Asia Pacific, we believe this new prepaid debit programme will allow us to open up new areas of business.”

The new prepaid card replaces the existing NETELLER Card. The new card will offer customers more flexibility and significantly lower pricing than the previous card. Importantly the new card will be available in multiple currencies and is tied to the customer’s e-wallet account, saving the consumer foreign exchange fees. The Group expects the new prepaid card to be available to customers by the end of May 2007.

The existing NETELLER Card is being withdrawn on 3 May 2007, as previously communicated to customers and merchants, in accordance with a notification very recently received by NETELLER from the third-party card provider. Canadian customers can continue to use their existing NETELLER Card but only on the Interac network and only in Canada.

Contrary to what that e-mail said, the Canadian Neteller debit card stopped working a while ago -- and since I received some money recently from a few affiliate programs, I've decided to go ahead and check with Neteller when we'll get the new ones... naively thinking that they give a rat's ass about Canadians.

So the AWESOME news that their online support told me is that... NETELLER DOESN'T HAVE PLANS TO OFFER A DEBIT CARD TO CANADIAN CUSTOMERS. Of course our old cards no longer work, which I mentioned above.

And in between all that they neglected to send us a note that #1 the old card is disabled for us as well and that #2 we won't be getting the new Neteller card.

Well, I for one can tell you that I am pissed off by their attitude. They provide wrong information, don't provide right information and basically treat customers like dirt... I wouldn't treat a dog like this.

Conclusion: DOWN WITH NETELLER. I wouldn't mind it if their founders would spend a few years in jail, that might teach them a thing or two about running an honest company.

Neteller may be slow and apparently disorganised when it comes to sorting their card clients out, but they're pretty quick off the mark in trying to get back in to European marketing - they're a major sponsor for the European Interactive Gaming conference in Barcelona this year....

Quote:

NETELLER confirmed as EiG 2007 Lead Sponsor

Without seemingly missing a beat due to the North American industry issues, NETELLER has solidified its position in the European market this year. By stepping up and taking the largest sponsorship available at EiG 2007, NETELLER is clearly out to demonstrate to the i-gaming world its continued strength and leadership. Visit the NETELLER European VIP Lounge on their stand, which is conveniently located next to the bar.

Exciting new offerings coupled with our own market focus has made EiG 2007 the must attend i-gaming show for us in Europe, said Dan Starr, EVP of Sales and Marketing at the NETELLER Group. Unquote

Still no card here and I talked to neteller a week ago and got the bog standard response. I have been crippled through being unable to withdraw here in Aussie until finding a way (for Aussies only) to get funds from neteller via a 3rd party.

I feel this card is not going to happen and Neteller is shaky as hell. :(

Yeah - it's really frustrating with these revised timetables that they don't seem to meet for the issue of the new cards.

I'm still waiting to hear something despite a couple of enquiry emails submitted last week and today.

These Neteller guys are not good communicators, and I suspect their attention and depleted manpower resources is completely taken up by getting the US payouts out of the way.

Update

NETELLER U.S. PAYOUTS IN PROGRESS (Update)

Relieved US players start receiving long-frozen funds - and a new card from Neteller

American online gamblers who have had their Neteller accounts frozen since January will have been relieved yesterday to at last see their money, as the Isle of Man-based e-wallet started paying out the $94 million owned by US players that has been in limbo whilst the Neteller vs. US Department of Justice drama played out.

As part of its settlement with the US authorities, Neteller has pulled out of the US market, agreed to pay a penalty of $136 million and to pay out - without interest - all American players whose funds were frozen. The last condition was in full swing Tuesday in compliance with the agreed timetable.

Amounts being paid varied from less than a hundred to tens of thousands - several players have posted that they had account balances in excess of $20 000, $70 000 and in one case $800 000 (allegedly a top poker tournament player whose winnings were paid to Neteller)

Neteller was also active in contacting former Neteller Card holders. The e-wallet suspended Neteller Card services earlier this year and is now offering a new facility in the form of its new GlobeWallet Prepaid Card, offered in partnership with First Pay and Conister Trust PLC.

The new card will work at over a million ATMs in 210 countries and over 25 million merchants worldwide, and Neteller boasts that lower fees than most other prepaid cards are a feature.

Neteller has waived activation fees provided that existing card holders request the new service before August 8.
