Pragmatic bonus chance

Just a question pragmatic games were you can pay a bit more to spin and double chance of hitting bonus. Does it actually let you have more of a chance? I’m struggling to see how so? I always do the double chance and find the bonus doesn’t come any quicker and also if it does 9/10 pays worse than landing it normally. False advertising and a cash grab in my oppinion and as a gambler I’m obviously gonna opt for a double chance at bonus, but can’t help feeling mugged off anyone else?

I always play without the bonus bet nowadays.
Ive played quite alot of Christmas carol MW and Great rhino MW both with and without the bonusbet and i honestly cant tell a difference.

Im sure it does increase the chance of landing the bonus, but it really does not feel like the chance is doubled.

Lets face it - Prags do not bonus that often anyway! (I do like a lot of their games though)

I am 100% sure it increases your chances per spin - and on a couple of games actually will double it- or they would not advertise it as such.... they too big a company. (a lot of games do say increase rather than double.....)

The RTP when playing with the bonus bet is usually a tad lower though.... so the purist in me says you should not use it! @Kroffe knows the score.

(given the RTP differences for games which advertise a double chance, someone good at maths could probably work out the odds of landing a bonus on both settings)

why wouldnt they ? Its topga... Pragmatic.

I’ve used it before and never seen any increase in bonus frequency. Better to have more spins imho.

Big company but morals of an ally cat. They aren’t the most reputable brand. When they have them scum streamers on board

I’ve noticed on Gates of Olympus that when you turn the extra bet on, visually there are more scatters that land. However, all it seems to do is increase the odds of 3 landing on any one spin.

It seems with prag that if the slot doesn’t want to bonus it just won’t. I saw on another forum that some poor sod put 16,000 spins through Gates and didn’t see the bonus once ?

They’re still my favourite slot provider right now though…there’s just something about their games that keeps you engaged.

I was thinking of making a post about this a few days ago but got lazy and couldn't be arsed. I don't have a massive amount of play to confirm anything, but in my experience the games play worse. During my gameplay, having the double chance active just kills the base and I haven't noticed any increase in chances of hitting the bonus - I would expect the games to tease regularly but not seen anything to justify playing with it on anymore. Also, RTP is lower as you are paying more for the same payouts.

Yes you are being mugged off - they know the majority of people are playing for the bonus so will be tempted to activate it

Yes same
For me and then when it does eventually land after rinsing my balance they pay terrible.

Pragmatic ussualy pops bonusses fast for me. And most does it in a row.

Or it just goes sideways and eats everything you got.

But really the extra bonus bet. Is just there as a extra chance and tbh. There is no way to test it. I use it but sometimes i dont and the outcome feels the same.

Maybe lesser tease with higher chance..

Ahh its plain luck tho.

Not sure what the average bonus chance percentage is but I'm thinking that if it was something like 0.5% at 20p.

Paying 40p for a 1% chance is clearly more profitable for the casino and studio so not worth doing.

Maybe somebody with a bit more knowledge could clarify :)

Although the "increased" stake is usually more like 25% so 25p instead of 20p.............

A lot of games don't specify the extra chance, just say its greater.

Who knows, but normally RTP is higher without the extra stake, so purely on a value for money approach, no is best.

Stakelogic do double the bets size and others do more.

Somebody knows :)

My experience is a mix of RTP but usually higher with increased betting in my limited experience :)

Lots of games do specify the increase in chance in the rules.

We must be playing different slots :)

:)

Is there a clear answer or a technical description of a slot where the difference is visible ?

Aztec Gold: Extra Gold Megaways by ISoftBet is the only Slot where i get a visible change as you just need 4 instead of 5 Scatter.
All other Slots just hide the answer in phrases "better" "change" or any other not clear word :what:

When they're in the mood, they can really pay well.

I was playing Chicken Drop on All British yesterday at 20p. Within a few minutes I'd taken a £10 balance to around £50. Upped to do a few £1 spins, and the bonus dropped in a handful of spins later.

Paid 1091x.

How the fuck... Every bonus ive seen it either gives me one watering can or one clover and thats it..

Congratulations on the great hit !:thumbsup:

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the inital question and the extra bonus change from Pragmatic Play as Chicken Drop does not have this option.
