This would be implicit consent, not explicit. It's also not a choice, it's made compulsory from the start. The regulations are stricter when it comes to a compulsory consent needed in order to access the service. It's going to be a question as to whether it is "necessary" to share the data, or whether it was done for the company's gain.
This won't be tested unless someone affected lodges a complaint or makes an enquiry with the ICO.

Of course it was 'necessary' as you would be the first to complain if you had lost comp points or tourney placings etc. as a result of GoWild leaving the UK market.

Where do we as player stand with regards to features we had build up in slots at GoWild??? I mean I know all slots are random. BUT slot like Avalon 2 and other slots where you have wagered a lot and done some achievements surely you will lose something on this?.

Also worth to mention the Untamed series. How about all the achievements now as they have just been lost? :(

I also need to choose to abandon my old 32red account opened way back when 32red casino opened up. I will then lose everything archived. Can someone someone please tell me 100% surely that on slot Battlestar Galatica I have played most actually almost archived highest rank there. Is there no advantage at all having played so many spins? and all these paytables on newer slots where you can get achievements. Is it just all eye candy?

Also now when I am at it. What if as a player at Microgaming Casino. I might have forgotten some features I had triggered. Also just lost. But how about at Casinos where i already play. Is there not any way to check in an easy way? Could I contact support at lets say 32red and they can see this?

Sorry everything above written very hasty. So poorly worded i guess hope it makes sense hehe.

Why not keep your 32Red account and pretend that Go Wild are closing and will be gone forever? Which it is.

That would do it for you

My problem is yes will lose all build on either account anyways. And other thing is I have been thinking changing my currency to pounds £ anyways. Which no matter what will lose my old account as they cant change currency without closing account

So if you keep the one at 32Red you will at least have the achievments left in there.

You could also move back to Denmark....but wait...they don't take people from Denmark at all do they? :eek2:
You're stuck!:)

Players probably gave consent when they signed up. GoWild redirects me to 32Red, so I cannot access its privacy policy, but 32Red's includes "In the event of a merger or consolidation of 32Red, or the sale of all or substantially all of its stock or assets, or the transfer of the operation and distribution of certain products or Services to a third-party, or bankruptcy of 32Red, your personal information may be transferred to 32Red' successor or assign resulting from such events."

I read their privacy policy, it was the usual warm words, nothing saying - oh yeah and we can sell your details and transfer your balance, your password, your payment method - the works - to someone we choose (who pays us).

The warm words were a very long way away from this.

As it happens I can't get too upset about this. I think both companies have operated in good faith to minimise inconvenience to players (and maximise their bottom lines) - but I do think they broke the rules. They are not selling card details on e-bay or passwords on the silk road, they are legitimate firms but I do think they have broken the rules.

If a player tests this by going to the ICO I would expect a slap on the wrist for this. I do wonder if, given that both are acting in good faith, anyone will make that effort.

It wasn't.

They just needed to contact their UK players in good time to tell them that GoWild would no longer be taking bets from them after the 10th, and that they should play off their bonuses, cash in their comps, and withdraw balances before then. They could be given the option of having their accounts closed on the 10th, or transferred to 32Red. They could have used "opt out" and shown this was in the interests of players who might not have replied because they didn't see the email, and who might have lost balances and comps otherwise.

This is the problem with a no notice lockout. These will be lost forever as the transferred accounts end up on the 32Red server. They can even get lost when casinos just upgrade their own servers, including when the move to a different licencing jurisdiction.

Some achievements DO lock away a portion of the slots RTP, and thus could represent part of the payout for bets already played.

If anyones interested if you log into gowild account it transfers you to 32RED and tells you you can get free £10 for registering bank card as my method was neteller. Never tried it out tho as went to live chat and got my go wild account blocked as last thing I need is 2 accounts at 32RED. I know it wouldn't be a problem but thought it better just to get rid of gowild account. Wonder what would've happened if id played £10 and won on gowild account tho lol.

I logged in tonight, after getting a 'welcome' email from 32Red. Took the free £10, and cashed in my loyalty points. But that seems to be all there is on offer. There isn't even a 'daily bonus' on offer. my lobby looks like this

Exactly what I wanted to hear. I had feeling about that. It seems Microgaming slots works different than from Net Ent and RTG.

I dont want this thread to end up in all out discussion about something like this again. BUT from my point of view it seems like Microgaming slots Continue from where they left when you log back into a slot? Showing last spin and same coin size bet. That is not random and seems there is some kind of controlled RTP. Call me stupid but that is what I think. We will never know 100% will we???

IF I had to choose between my gowild and 32Red account. If lets say I had done 800 spins on Avalon 2 without triggering the first feature at 32Red. And at Gowild casino I had not touched Avalon 2 yet. Then 1st choice would be continue play at 32Red. Makes sense? Yes I think it does.

Anyone knows if it would be way to big task for 32Red to get my RTP on every single slot since i opened account? Something I will try ask for in email very soon. And I will do this at all Casinos and try see what stats actually are.

Some, as in Tomb Raider II for example. You have to collect all 5 passports to trigger the bonus round, so if you had managed to get three at GoWild, and they vanish on the transfer, you have lost a portion of the RTP because instead of only having to collect the last two, you have to start all over again to collect 5. The slots where this is the case are obvious, not subtle like storing your last spin and bet value. Where there is complete randomness, whether or not the slot remembers and presents the last spin you played has no bearing on the result of the next one. Another example is the Dark Knight Rising slot. If there is a drought of free spin rounds, the spins and multipliers build through the fight rounds. This also stores up some of the RTP, and balances out the poor session that made you wait so long for the trigger.

Also, as highlighted by the Vegas Partner Lounge migration, you will lose out if you were in the middle of playing one of the MPV tournaments as the alias and it's current position is not migrated. You will need to set up a new alias in the migrated account.

I suspect the duplicate accounts are being allowed so as to not upset the affiliates who initially brought the UK players to GoWild. 32Red have stated that players will be allowed to operate both accounts so long as they don't "abuse the bonuses" on offer. If such abuse is detected, these players will have to nominate one of the accounts to keep, and the other will be closed. From this, playing the free £10 should be fine even if the player already has a 32Red account. It's probably HOW that free £10 is played, and how the play follows for the daily boni, that will determine whether the player gets to keep both accounts, or has to choose one.

When i logged into 32Red with my Go Wild acc no i had the popup with the £10 free but couldnt claim it, when i enquired why i was told
i can add the bonus for you if you wish on the Go wild account. However after this only one of the accounts can remain open, so please advise which you to choose to have open and I can sort it for you.

I dont see it as a problem though as i expect the bonuses will be the same whichever account i keep open and i also expect 32 Red will close a a lot of duplicate accounts after a while to avoid any confusion from the player side of things and to keep bonus abuse to a minimum,

I guessed the same as you that's why I never bothered with bonus and just closed my gowild account right on the spot.

Logged in with my gowild details, deposited £25 (my daily deposit limit at gowild) lost it, tried loggng back n a few hours ater to see if the £10 free bonus was available, account locked..... I had self excluded from 32red around 4-5 years ago and never reopened it... told live support.. they said it will be reviewed by a manager... 3 days and still no news, been asking live chat every day... :(
Sucks a bit cuz i wanna see if 32red really pay winnings as fast as everyone says..

It seems common sense is prevailing, even though this might upset the affiliates. The idea that players could run two accounts at 32Red was a bit daft all along. It's asking for "bonus abuse" given that there is a decent bonus every DAY. At best, they might say that both accounts can remain open, but one has to be "bonus banned", which probably renders it pretty useless in any case.

I will most likely get my duplicate closed, although it might possibly be useful for playing MPV tournaments with a separate alias, thanks to Microgaming deciding this is allowed because operators wanted it so when the first big Grand Slam of Slots was run.

Can somebody define "bonus abuse" is just taking the free tenner considered bonus abuse, as i already have an active 32red account?
I'm just playing it safe and retiring my gowild account for now.
