I think it is a novel idea for sure and the porn industry love em or hate em has and is known for innovation. I just (personally) do not see this working in the long run. Sure their is a link to sex and gambling but does that link continue into the online world ? I could be dead wrong here and they make it massive but with all the regulation and the way these 2 leisure industry's have really separated from each other the past decade or so im not confident. I do admire the stand of the people behind this. As its a bold move but one not without risks and can these 2 industry's be reconciled ... I think not.
In many respects right now it is win win situation as the traffic they will be generating already internally will be huge. And I would think they will be picking up allot of affiliates (if they do have an affy program) from other adult site operators. So in that sense it will be target traffic for sure. I just dont see them getting many top gambling only affiliates.
I did work for over 12 years in the adult industry so know something of how it works. It has undergone many changes and faced numerous challenges in the past but is resilient and continues to adapt to the changes thrown at it. Its almost a given that someone else along the line would try make inroads to combine pRon with gambling and here we have it. They are many questions though here which could be asked but don't think this is the place to do it.
One point to note back then we tried to get a number of key affiliate accounts active on our network all but one of the big players refused as soon as they knew we were adult related. They wanted the traffic but not the association. One key player did come on board but conversions were hard - and we had to push traffic through in the 1000s to even see any kind of development. And even then it had to be served from "clean" domains. In the end we dumped it on exit as it just did not fit.
Personally I wish the people behind this the best of luck and kudos for the innovation but still ... question marks indeed ...?
