Political Correctness gone mad?!

You type well loads
A stock exchange newsfeed suggests that Microgaming (purveyor of online casino software), have been advised to consider making changes to some of their games. In particular, the game "Tally Ho" makes reference to fox hunting, now banned in the UK. The fear is that anti hunt protesters will target any organisation that appears to have links, or even a positive view on, the cruel sport of hunting foxes with hounds. Anti-vivisection protesters have already done this, and have targeted employees of research institutions too!

It turns out that, as usual, no actual complaint has been made - and an anti-hunting activist is quoted as saying " this is ridiculous, this sort of light hearted portrayal would not be an issue for us"

Crazy or what!

A reflection of the times we live in I'm afraid. Largely down to the "compensation culture" IMO. Some skint American (no slight on Americans intended, just a dig at the US Justice system) would probably see it as an opportunity to file a lawsuit for $10,000,000 claiming it causes them to have a fear of horses and the US judiciary system, being what it is, will uphold the complaint. Jeez you can get $1,000,000 for spilling McDonalds coffee on yourself these days...why bother working for a living?

Pathetic in all honesty. But what can you do.
