got my check from pokerstars:

it came from Canada with no mention of pokerstars or even poker in the letter. there was one ID number on the letter beginning with "PS".

but it's still drawn on a us bank so we'll see if the american taliban cracks down on them?

I have now deposited two of their checks this month without any issues. I do not know of any problems with their checks. It seems they process more then just gambling checks so that should help.
