Hi everyone

With our next private tourney on the 27th of February at 15:00 EST, I think it will be wise to warn you that we have finally got our Poker room branded to Poker333, Yes the old Piggs Pigg poker interface is gone. this means that the next time you open our software it will download the latest version. I would appreciate the following feedback from you.
  • How long did it take you to upgrade the software and from what country did you upgrade.
  • What do you think of the new lobby? - Be honest please - :notworthy

Thanks again to everyone on the forum that makes my time here a pleasure and I can't wait to see you on the next one!

the new design is better than the last one. download was quick...maybe because i have dsl. lol.

you can now select the seat you want to sit in......i wonder if it's a new feature. anyway, good job on the upgrade. chatmaster.

I downloaded from Hong Kong and it was darn fast. I also like the new lobby which looks better than the old one. Cant tell you why. Its just a feel.

Hi,

It took me approximately 2 mins to update, using a T1 connection in the US. I suspect my DSL home connection will be a bit slower. :D

Love the 3 Piggs!! And I like the new lobby a whole lot better.

I wanted to let you know that I continue to have problems downloading and installing your software. I am running XP SP2 with all security updates applied and I have a hardware firewall. I do not have any problems with other sites including other Prima Sites. You may want to look into this ongoing problem. It has been suggested that I take down my firewall, but this would pose a security issue and therefore I do not want to do it since it seems like only your software is behaving in this manner. If you determine what the problem might be and find a fix for it, please let me know by a post or email. Thank you.

Chatmaster,
I remain extremely narked with your software. :(
I was having problems before - as mentioned in another thread, so I uninstalled yesterday and re-downloaded the whole thing from scratch.
Download & installation no problem at all, but the software is still 'eating' all my computer's CPU resources, causing itself to run 'jerky' & slow, and reducing all other functions on my PC to snails pace.
I'm running on Windows XP home, 2.8GHz, 768MB RAM.
I have NO problems with any other software - I can run 2-3 other poker rooms & multiple casinos at the same time with no slow down in performance.
Is anyone else having this problem???

Added to that, is the fact that the CasinoMeister special freeroll tournaments now NEVER appear anywhere in the menu, leaving me VERY frustrated. :( :(

So as far as I'm concerned, your software is totally CRAP!

I really would appreciate it if you would take my complaint seriously, investigate and advise what is going on.

Thanks,
KK

Yes!!! on all my Prima rooms. I reported in a different thread that I thought the problem was fixed but since then Bet365 poker has caused my PC to "stop" on 3 occasions.

I can play on 3-5 different softwares at the same time without problems but even Prima (Bet365) on its own crashes everything. Somethings not right here.

We are also aware of a problem with downloading the software using Firefox and are working to fix it, if you have issues with this I can give you a different link to download it, using PM's. However the problem using the Prima software has been forwarded to Prima and they are looking into it.

The fact that you can't download from Mozilla is ridiculous, why does this not happen with other Primas?

It seems Microgaming has decided it wants to infest your browser with an ActiveX script called Microgaming Download Helper to allow people to download files. Which is absurd. Information about what this script does, why it is needed (everyone should be able to figure out that its not) and why there isn't an option to download without it is nowhere to be found.

There is a reason Firefox (and SP2 IE) blocks ActiveX scripts. Downloading something as simple as an exe-file certainly shouldn't need any modification to your browser.

I have a perfect fix. Remove the ActiveX script and host your files like everyone else does. I guarantee it will work with every browser.

Prima has actually fixed the issue with the Active X as Norton and other antivirus and firewall software had security issues with it so it should be resolved now

Firefox and IE (xp sp 2) will automatically block ActiveX. And thats a big part of computer users these days. Of course if the download doesn't need the script and will start anyway most people will be able to get the file. But if that is the case, what is the purpose of the ActiveX script to start with? And why does Microgaming feel they have the right to install a script in my browser? What does that script do?

dlhelper assists you in downloading the software, especialy when you have a slow or bad connection. When you loose the connection or shutdown the computer it will continue the download from where it was interupted the last time.

These browsers will automatically block activex if it doesn't have the right security certificate. The Firefox issue should be fixed by Monday on our site. I hope so anyway :D

But it's not really needed. People have downloaded and installed programs from the net for ages without a need for a script. This is just useless bloating of browsers that companies like to do. Link Removed (invalid URL) :)

And I know it is not your idea or your fault. So I am not having a go at you or your pokerroom. I am just ranting about the phenomenon in general and MicroGaming for deciding this is a good idea. Though you should have an option to download without it for those that like to keep their browsers as clean as possible.
