Does Anyone know or is it possable that pokerstars is loaded with a bunch of collectors.I have made several deposits and just can't get past the amount of my deposits no matter what.I consider myself a good player and let me tell you it is like playing against a ghost that can see your hand and put cards in there hand to beat you. This has been happening quite awhile now and I have e-mailed them with my concerns but no responce as of yet.

Pokerstars

I'm not the greatest card player that ever lived but I have cashed out every, single time depositing at Pokerstars. If I may be so bold, what kind of games/amounts are you playing ?
I basically make smallish deposits ($25-50) and stick to the micro sit and gos.
Once you get a few $$ ahead increase from the one dollar, single tables to the $3, $5 ,etc. A single table sit n go pays top three out of like 9 players.
Stay away from the raked tables and ring games. I hope this helps.

My play is like Spike - I play the low stakes Sit n Go and when I win I move up to a higher amount. I have days where the cards just are not there for me. I only play here and I personally think its a honest site. :D

there honest

poker stars is a ok honest site no affiliate programs ie no rakeback there for any one all treated fair

I play Pokerstars almost every week (usually micro SnG and micro MTT's) because I believe Pokerstars is fair. I too consider myself an above-average player based on my success in 20+ years of playing cash games. But Pokerstars has been kicking my rear for a while. In fact, not one cashout in the last 6 months. Maybe I'm not as good as I should be at playing MTT's. I don't know. I can certainly feel your pain.

Time to go out on a limb. Foremost, I am not one to complain because I didn't win. Bad luck and bad beats occasionally happen to everyone that plays poker.

After playing tournaments the last 2 days I am concerned that all is not right at Pokerstars. I realize that it is the biggest and arguably the most reputable online poker room. But time after time hands end with near impossible odds.

For instance, in 2 different NLH tournaments today a player had the 4th card of a quad. Both times there were a total of 3 people playing the hand. The first time I had pocket jacks and get called all in by 3,8 offsuit. Quad 3's win the hand. The second time I had pocket aces and get called all in by 7,10 suited. Quad 7's win the hand. The examples go on and on (including several irregular bad beats during a HORSE tourney yesterday).

I wish I had the statistical knowledge and software to sceintifically analyze my play but I do not. After due consideration I have decided not to deposit any more at Pokerstars based on my experience the last 6 months.

So you played one tournament and saw quads once, then played another tournament and saw quads again and now it is fishy because you played two tournaments and saw quads twice? Post the hand histories of these hands please. I have a feeling they were either micros, early on in the donkament times or the players that made these calls was so short stacked it didn't matter.

Also go to officialpokerrankings.com and run their usernames. I have a feeling if they made these plays in normal situations they are huge neg players.

The 2 examples I cited were in back-to-back tourneys and I was knocked out both times. One was early and the other was after the 1 hour break.

I just checked my ranking (for the first time) and found out how bad I really do suck. Statistics show I do much better in smaller SnG's and higher stakes MTT.

My confusion is why I usually get knocked out by undisciplined players - donks and chasers.

Hey there

Cool Hand Luke.Pokerstars is one of the tougher places to play poker on.It is however very good, at least to us Canadian folks, with quick payouts and quick deposits.

That could change with how any future conservative government and how they see online gambling and how the games should be taxed.Control of the banks and businesses that do business with online casinos and online poker rooms.

Cool Hand, you're probably getting caught in math probability in which you are in a gambling situation. You are probably making playing mistakes, people are reading you, you're not bluffing enough, your bluffs are weak, and so on.

If you were a really good player, you would be pretty wealthy. You could get lucky and think you're good too, better than you think, before reality brings you back down to earth.

It's happen to me and other decent players. You got to keep tweaking your game, and mixing it up more, and your finishes will improve.

Yes, bad probability happens.Yes you got to watch for cheating, because there isn't 1 perfect human being out there, and we all can cheat in our jobs, online, on our taxes.

People are rule makers, people are rule breakers.

That is also why Bryan started this site up, to stop rogue casinos and rogue poker rooms, and rogue sports books online.

Cool Hand, once you study your play, you'll see that part of the problem is your play, part of it is other players, and part of it will be money management.

Yes, players will chase, but they don't always make their hands on the river.Yes, 2 players could be friends, live thousands of miles away, and could collude against you.If you think something is up, contact poker stars customer service, if they still allow US players to play there, know your own legalities, and you probably could contact those moderators on here, who could help you.

Just be aware, that if you like to bend rules, then other people can bend rules against you.

Best wishes and good luck in your gambling journey.

 Well ones gotta figure n the chances of hitting preflop outta 2 million different flops , then u gotta figure the player n not the cards for the turn an if u get real lucky the fish or donkie will not be rewarded on the river , then u gotta say 2 yourself if i lose on the river then how good was my hand n the 1st place , players will pay to see the last card if they believe they can hit out on you , i play over 12 hours a day  for years n i'm just learning hw to manage a bank roll , It's just a big machine sometimes u win most of the times u will lose it's the thrill of not knowing that keeps me playing

I still struggle with bet/raise amounts. A recent example in a NLHE tourney: I had pocket jacks, bet 3X big blind preflop and 2 other players call. The flop is Js, 5h and 8d so I went all in. This guy with a slightly higher stack calls me and wins with a small str8. :axeman:
