I'm writing to ask our friendly neighborhood Casinomeister to consider adding Betsoft to the list of bad software providers, and to issue a Warning about Betcoin.ag.
Betsoft:
(1) Recently, a player at Betcoin.ag lined up five jackpot symbols on the payline on the Betsoft game The Glam Life, while playing max coin at the 50¢ denomination. That should have triggered the progressive jackpot, but it didn't. Betsoft handled the support on the customer's complaint, because they actually control the games for the casino. Initially, Betsoft denied the payout with the excuse that the player wasn't playing max coin, because he was playing the 50¢ denomination, and would have had to have played at $1 to win. This is ridiculous on its face because every denomination has its own different progressive jackpot. When the player pointed this out, Betsoft then said that the jackpot can't be won during the free spins bonus round, although there was nothing in the paytable that suggested that was so. (*After* the player's complaint, Betsoft changed the wording to read that the jackpot "cannot be won during any other [sic] bonus feature".) (
(2) Analysis suggests that some Betsoft progressive jackpots cannot be won. Here's a
Betcoin.ag:
According to the player who was denied the jackpot above, Betcoin.ag told him that they'd seen that same kind of problem with Betsoft, and that Betsoft controls the games. (According to the player, "When you play this game your wager is sent directly to BetSoft, and you are connected to their servers. If you win BetSoft credits the players account at the casino. BetSoft holds sole responsibility for deciding who wins and loses. The arrangement with the casino operates very much like a player affiliate program.") If this is true, then Betcoin.ag is incapable of doing right by players because they have no control over the games. And if what the player says is true, Betcoin.ag knows that Betsoft has refused to pay jackpot winnings *more than once*, yet Betcoin.ag still continues to offer games by Betsoft.
