Question Playtech favourite games

I have had some minor luck on the new Sopranos game along with Iron Man 3 but I do get the lag more in the Marvel ones and always though it was the servers checking if you or someone else won the progressive. I have found that some of their games it does take a while to hit bonuses but that is my personal experience.

I prefer Marilyn Monroe to Great Blue and Penguin Vacation, just because it seems less streaky and it feels like the bonus round gets shared around more fairly, even though its variance and potentially huge payoffs are pretty much identical to Penguin Vacation. Streakiness and HV is a bad combination..!

It's just a bit hard to find in comparison to the ubiquitous Penguin Vacation.
Play it at Gala and would also play it at Betfair but I support the CM stance against Betfair.

Lower variance I like A Night Out and Halloween Fortune
Speaking of which I notice Halloween Fortune is now on FOBTs in a lot of bookies. Saw some guy bashing the screen and screaming abuse at the three witches the other day

Having played it a fair bit, I'm pretty sure the variance on MM is lower than the others which would explain that.

LOL!

Thanks for all your comments. Had a great time losing this bonus ;-)

Well, if you need any further help in losing, I'm something of an expert. I've been losing at the slots for years now. So if it's losing you want, I can definitely help ;)

The unfortunate thing about Playtech slots is that it seems like most of the high variance slots people love also have a fairly low RTP (Penguin's Vacation, Great Blue, Sultans, and all the corresponding clones are in the 94-95% range).

Then you've got options like Halloween Fortune or Wild Gambler in the 97% range, but all these seem low variance. That's fine if you like that, but I generally prefer the higher variance options.

Maybe some of those 8-way style slots buck this trend, I'm not completely sure, but they're usually pretty boring visually and in terms of gameplay.

Ah, that partly explains my awful results on those games (GB and PV).
Still waiting to hit over 300x my bet on one of those.
My highest win is still 280x bet on GB, and that one kinda sucked because it came on freespins with only 2x multiplier, 3 rowes of stacked wilds on the 2nd spin.

Wonder how much of the RTP is in the insane payouts for 5 wilds, look at dsk17's screenie and imagine reel 4 wild as well, now that would have paid a progressivelike fortune.

I've hit between 100-200x bet more times than I can count on Great Blue, not hard if you pick the right shells, but I just cant seem to get over that.
And thats often not even enough to make it to the next freespinround, as they are rare..
Went over 1700 spins without a feauture once on Penguin Vacation, 2 sessions, then it came with 3 bucks left, got 23 spins x10 and won 22x bet, that was so awful..

Club Gold advertised on their website a while ago that someone won 250K on Great Blue.:eek2:
Didnt say how much he was betting though.

Well, i don´t like the Playtech software. But when i play it(usually when trying to get a bonus) i prefer Desert Treasure 1 & 2.

I usually go back every few months and give them a run but I wouldn't go near the newer Slots. I find the bonus pay-outs really low and you need a bucket load of spins to activate a bonus. I think Playtech slots have definitely became a lot tighter and aimed at higher rollers who can budget to reach a bonus. Great Blue has definitely been my best slot for returns followed by Rome and Glory and Gladiator.

But can I just mention that I have experienced that pause on marvel slots just about everywhere I've played. But at Sports Interaction there is not even the slightest delay and I can quite easily quick spin the marvel slots.

I wish they (Playtech) would get rid of that damn pop-up every time someone wins a marvel jackpot. I don't need it plastered in front of my game unless I've won, which I never have and probably never will.

Same here. I only play at Omni for Playtech and Marvell games are basically unplayable 90% of the time.
I gave up.
Guess its a serverissue, its well known for months now, but Playtech is a very poor company, hardly any money and they cannot possibly afford better servers.:rolleyes:

So I only play Great Blue and Penguin Vacation, and week after week, month after month, for 1.5 years now these games are happy to take my balance and never pay anything decent, but one day, one day I'll crack one of those bastards, I swear. :)

Hope you get lucky!

jump on the ones i have said de beuker try them for 6 months , im sure you will hit 300x your bet without any problems

I havent been too lucky on Playtech. I might have to take your advice too lol. I've tried Great Blue to no success after I saw Jas' monster hit. Aside from Archer, it's smoked me in most games. New Marvel games pay poo, and it's that damn 40 cents or a buck (I think) with no in between and my bankroll goes fast, but I'm drawn to them for the various bonus rounds.

stage your bets on them , these are pretty much the only machines i play anylonger on playtech , marvel slots i cant even be bothered with pointless lag crap results never hit the marvel jackpot thingy in over 100k in spins at different stakes , those machines ive said after years of playing seem to offer the best results , they can kill you like most machines but when they play nice its pretty easy to see 300x bets plus quite often , im still awaiting the top paying 5 symbols ive came close on no less the 8 -9 times with four which all pay 1000x times plus doesnt matter what stakes i play anywhere from 20p upto 4 pounds the can retrigger upto 6 times that i had on thai paradise payout just under 900x this was for queens so not a bad outcome i did hit the top paying 5 symbols thai girly at 75p stake ) good luck anywayz these are fun machines if you like the book of ra clones )

That reminds me - I used to really like that Ultimate Fighters game.
I can't understand why any software would withdraw a slot - does anyone know why Playtech pulled this one?

The look on the one lady penguin says "Oh, my!"

It's pretty hard to beat a game with a 15x multiplier. Penguin vacation and Irish Luck are pretty streaky but if you can catch that 15x you're bound to hit something. I retriggered penguin vacation once with a 15x multiplier but I was only betting 20c. Ended up with something like 1500x my wager. If I have any kind of balance at all I'm usually playing dollar spins so you end up really happy with your win but not so happy with your timing.

Thai Princess is another streaky game. I basically lose money steadily until I catch a bonus feature and then get most of it back but if you can get the higher paying symbols or even the Princess for an extra scatter it can dump a lot of money on your lap.

I had a pretty good run with this software last year and then hit a bad patch that lasted long enough for me to lose interest. Maybe I'll give Omni another run and see what happens.

I was heading out to the track one day but had some time to kill before my brother showed up so I pulled the 6 dollars out I had in comp points and started spinning 30c spins in Cherry Love. When he showed up a half hour later I had over a hundred bucks. So I went out and lost 40 bucks at the track. Then I walked downstairs into the casino, won the 40 back in about 5 minutes. Realizing at that point I hadn't won or lost anything, I said to hell with it and walked out even and went back home to play my 100 instead. :p

Ok, I tried it. Now I remember why I stopped trying it.

I went back to Omni Deposited 21 and lost it at minimum bet in about 10 minutes with one bonus feature that paid 2 dollars.

I got a bonus feature in Tai Princess, got the princess for the extra scatter and never saw two of them once until the feature ran out.

I'd be surprised if I get a 35% RTP from this casino.

The only difference between this and 32Red is that Omni offered me the deposit bonus I didn't take because I had no ambition to figure out what the terms and conditions were.

And that is why I will probably go back and deposit at one of these two casinos again and not the other.

I am an absolute sucker for Pink Panther. It's stolen my bankroll more times than I can count. It's given me a few decent hits too, and I've hit the Jackpot bonus round a few times, but never a jackpot with it.

Penguin vacation is a great game, and I'm keen on Discovery too. The new Samba one is nice, I've had 500x bet on that one, and the music is very catchy.

Of the Marvel games, Fantastic Four is my favourite, with Hulk a close second.

I play a lot of Vacation Station and Chinese Kitchen. I enjoy the play of the 8 liners, and I too miss Ultimate Fighters.

My last great hit at Playtech was on True Love... had a bonus round that just kept retriggering and retriggering, and hit five doves during freespins. Paid over 800x bet.

Also like Queen of the Pyramids. If you get the bonus round (tough to get at any time) during the freespins, it also pays 5x. Had that happen recently for a very nice payout. Unfortunately, I'd taken a big bonus and didn't withdraw.

On a related note, does anyone know what Playtech games mean when they say a jackpot is "mystery triggered" or a "mystery progressive?"

I've seen elsewhere that a "mystery progressive" is one that's guaranteed to hit by a certain point. For example, if the seed is $5,000, and the maximum is $20,000, a random number is chosen between $5,000 and $20,000 and the jackpot will be hit on the spin that brings the amount above that number.

But I'm not sure that's what Playtech means, it might just mean it in the same sense that RTG uses "random jackpot," - that the jackpot is triggered independently of the reels, and that a certain bet size always has a constant chance of hitting the jackpot, regardless of its size. (Whereas with the other type, your chance of hitting increases as the jackpot increases in value.)
