Playtech Avengers: Fun Mode vs Real Mode Discrepancies?

okay I know fun play and real play are meant to be exact same, but try avengers slot in free play and real mode, in real mode free spins aren't normally great, play it in fun mode and see how many times you get thor feature in free spins, then you will see he often drops 5 wilds and often in one line, it happens so often and free spins pay huge amounts and quite often you get feature after feature, yet it never happens in real play as after a couple of sets of free spins loki normally appears and thors lucky to drop 2 wilds in real play. That's one slot that definitely plays different in free play.

Interesting. I've noticed exactly the same thing on probably 3 occasions but I put it down to luck! Hmmmm.

Also you often get a specific sequence in Captain America free games 2x 3x 4x 5x 2x 3x 4x 5x 2x

Id attest to the Avengers paying superbly in fun play. I tried it twice and both times had HUGE hits. Real Play... not a chance.

OK so following the observations above, I trundled off to play the Bet365 fun-play version of this game (hint: if you want to test it quickly, you can press SPIN/STOP really fast to get to the feature).

After a few minutes I hit 2 crap bonuses. Then I hit one which gave me around 12 features and 1,100x return. I have made a video (sorry, no sound as I am on my other PC) that demonstrates both the points made above.

The first two clips show the sequence on the Captain America feature (which I show twice but happened on all 3 occasions I got it during this bonus). I have speeded this up to save you time as it's pretty boring at regular speed but you can clearly see 2x 3x 4x 5x 2x 3x 4x 5x 2x which I have never seen in real-play.

The third clip (which kicks in at around 50 seconds) in shows the Thor bonus at real-time speed. Stick with it...it gets better and better!

I have played this game a lot in real play and I have never seen anything even approaching this bonus.

Same experience here. In free spins up to 2000x bet with a lot of bonus rounds.
My thought was it has something to do with the Jackpots. In fun play the jackpots are not running.

I don't trust Playtech software nor most of their casinos. I recently played Fantastic 4 in test mode, and got my balance up to over 197,000 pounds by raising stakes and getting overlapping good features. Having said that, I once got a run like this (for smaller stakes obviously) in real play on Cleopatra and made over 4k. But, I must agree in my limited experience of PT real play, the slots seem very tight compared to free play - but I do say that's just my limited example.

I dont even play the slot much as dislike playtech but tried it several times on different casinos including William hill and could not believe that nearly every time I would win over £1000 on a £1 stake on free spins. So like a mug I had to play it for real on a few occasions and it pays nothing. Go back to free play and it pays again.

I think that's the whole point of changing the payout in Free Mode - Its meant to be deceptive and misleading.

This is actually not on from Playtech. Rogue software providers do this to their games.

Just watched your video simmo and it showed exactly what I said. Over 1000x bet and all the wilds including 5 in a row. I know that might happen occasionally in real play but that's the sort of bonus you get often in free play. Just should not be so much of a difference if casinos slots are meant to play the same.

there is a BIG difference between fun and real on this particular slot. i said that a while back in another thread. i played every day for one week at galacasino where i don't even have an account but they permit to play without registration. monster hits one after another. 4-5 hammers on thor like every hand with EVERY thor feature. in reality when 3 hammers drop then is like 3 wilds on DoA in terms of rarity.
captain america very rare gives 3 symbol line in its feature. in fune mode tons of 5 of a kind.
iron man is starting with 1x multiplier, yes thats how they called 1x. may throw good wins.
and hulk is the best with the expanded stacked wild in the middle during its spins and fortunately is easy to get.

this one is for sure.
the other may be Hulk. in smash bonus in free play after he smash 3 cars, the random hulk rage feature which smash all the cars appear. it is definetly more frequently in free play to see that coming and also to pick the 5x helicopter. test by yourself. this is also possible in real play but with real play variance = rare. not 100% sure i don't set myself on fire though.
but Avengers in free play is like watching Net Ent new releases clips in which they show what is the slot capable of.

I just played Avengers in free play and got the feature in under 200 spins. The feature gave me 4 picks before I got loki and return on feature was 80x bet. The return seems kinda normal for a PT slot IMO only that it came in pretty quick. My experience with PT as a whole is features can take a long time to drop in. I would be interested to see how this plays out.

Why does that not surprise me? I mean it is PT and those games don't seem to be regulated enough at least that's the impression I've gotten after that whole Betfred/Speilo fiasco and some other incidents. However (and surprisingly) I've found PT to have returned the most out of all the platforms so I can't make a guess that wouldn't be completely biased. But for what it's worth IMO the games most likely do play differently on fun mode compared to real mode since that's been shown to be the case in the past.

P.s. Also wanted to add I find the feature very hard to hit on any of the PT progressive slots.

i just played avengers on default $40 bet. less than 30 spins requied to get the feature. this is the result in like 3 minutes of playing:

As far as I know, Playtech - along with most of their competitors - produce games that run identical in either play-for-fun or real mode. So either Simmo! had some massive luck recorded on his video, or we are being deceived.

I'll try contacting Playtech for a comment.

OK - I'll now stick my neck out and state definitely that the Avengers is being gimped in free-play mode. I understand coincidence but the odds against this are immense. I hope I/we are proved wrong, but something stinks here.

I told a Playtech-casino about this six months ago. They assured me it played exactly the same in free mode vs real money.

There's no way they play the same! One time in free mode I had bonus round that just wouldn't stop re-triggering, not lying if I had 40 bonus rounds before picking Loki. Several Thor features paying over 1000x in one session.

A fact about Playtech slots is that one given slot can have versions with RTP as low as 88% and as high as 96%.

That means nothing though, Netent promotional videos are from "fake" play, not free play.
