Has the idea of giving a player ranking ever been suggested?

I would like to see a way that players can rank the accredited casinos from a purely subjective viewpoint. Perhaps it could show up on the page after you click on one of the names from the accredited list. Just something simple like 1-5 stars.

Players could use whatever criteria they wanted like games selection, wait time in live chat, looseness of games, availability of bonuses, whatever. Just one overall ranking of how you like the casino. Some of this info can be found looking through the forums but I think it would be nice to sum it up with one ranking.

To prevent abuse perhaps it could be limited to only forum members who have reached a specific milestone like reputation level or forum membership time being able to rank but be visible to all.

Good idea, and this is something I've been mulling over for a while. The problem is to have this set up properly - avoiding abuse and providing accuracy. We recently relaunched the accred section about six months ago which includes a "Meister" rating system which is relatively objective and transparent.

At the moment, players have the option of reporting their findings in the Accredited Casino Updates section of the forum. This can affect a casino's score either positively or negatively:

You have such a great resource here and you get really good cooperation from all the reps and I wouldn't want to see anything jeopardize that.

I envisioned something like this. They all start out 3 stars which would represent "just what I would expect". Give the player two options, + or -. After that is where some careful math and diplomacy would have to be employed. Say 10 plus-rankings (or some expertly formulated number) would raise them one star to "very good", 10 more would bring them up to "exceptional".

Same thing on the way down, 10 minus-rankings, lose a star to just "good". 10 more, "not everybody's cup of tea".

I would not suggest anything like a "poor" rating for any accredited casino here and the overall goal should be to formulate a method which keeps most of them in the middle. Maybe give it a trial period where only you and your advisers can see the results.

Once fully implemented it could prompt establishments who see their rank falling to maybe do a forum poll and see what players are thinking and it could save some of them from slipping from the accredited list by nipping problems before they get out of control.

It would definitely be quite a bit of work on your part to get it just right but you're not a busy guy are you?
