Actually I find this pretty hilarious, I got this mail today:

Hi,

How are you?

I know that i haden't spoke much with you this week.
I remember our converstion, but it's hard for me - he is still my husband!
Anyway to answer your question - this is how my husband makes his money:
He found a website that had a one day promotion - for every deposit they gave you 150% on your money.
Deposit CA$20 and your account will be credited with CA$50.
Deposit CA$100 and your account will be credited with CA$250.

His big Secret?
He found out a bug on the system and if you regisiter through this link (link removed) you can use this promtion even now!

Sign up now before they fix this bug!

And again, please don't let my husband know! (link removed)

Megan

At first I thought it was one of those stock things and was going to delete it then I thought it looked like a casino spam, so checked and sure enough, it's for Play Million.

So this fake email conversation is suggesting that someone found a bug in the system that lets them claim the same "one day" bonus every day and that people should take advantage of this?

Since when do casinos suggest that people rip them off?

The email is saying that the bonus was only for one day, but their special link will allow you to claim that bonus even now - not multiple times, just that you can still get it today even though it's NOT the 'one day' the bonus was supposedly available.

The really funny bit is that the casino has a standard welcome bonus of 150% on their website all the time. I think the whole marketing ploy the affiliate is going for is that it's a secret or a bug or something to make people think that signing up through this affiliate they'll be able to stick it to the casino and get more than they're entitled to or more than other people do. And having it start in the middle of a conversation, so that you're accidentally getting something not meant for your eyes...

It's like those porn spams that are made to look like it's some innocent horny coed (and her naughty friends) who accidentally sent the link of her x-rated webcam feed to 5000 wrong email addresses instead of that one guy she met at spring break.

EDIT: Just a quick look at the site and this casino has deposit bonuses on the first five deposits....

I never got that link. :(
