unfortunatly i once made the mistake of playing with cirrus casino and ever since then i have been plagued by spam, the latest one is from cool cat casino offering me 100% bonus on a deposit upto $5000!!!! and 50%+50% cashback on subsequent deposits upto $5000!!! plus many other various others which are quite simply too good to be true.all offers allow you to play blackjack aswell

however a vist to their website reveals a "no spam" policy banner, so if they dont do spam, so how did they get my email address.

also i'm not naive, i quite simply believe that if i play at this casino i will not get paid out as the offers just too riduculous and any casino giving them out would quickly go bust IMHO, so aswell as the email being spam, i would rank it on a par with those emails for nigerian bank transfers, or winning the canadian lottery, i.e. they sent out to rip off people by playing on peoples stupidity and greed.

can i ask is this cool cat casino and cirrus casino anything to do with the virtual group i have heard so much about recently?

Hi Scrollock and welcome to the forum. If you played at this casino, or downloaded their software, you will obviously receive email offers from them. This is not defined as spam since you more than likely opted-in to receive promotional emails from them. These mailings should have a link to unsubscribe.

As for their sister sites, check the terms and conditions of Cirrus' email policy and see if they have anything that covers receiving emails from their related casinos. Also, before getting riled up at a casino for what could be a spam attack, check the links embedded in the email. It could be an affiliate. If this is the case, contact either the casino or affiliate manager and they will normally take swift action against this character.

And Landidar, voicing your opinions here is fine and I encourage it, but to constantly post links to your message board without saying much of anything isn't adding to the conversation here. Please chill on this, thanks!

I believe that the poster would gain more info from reading the list of casinos/clones of The Virtual Group .
All I wanted to do is to be short and to the point.
If you wish...I'd be happy to copy/paste the list of Part of or fronts for 'The Virtual Casino' Group here in your forum. It would probably get more attention here anyway.

Thanks for the replies, landidar i couldn't find cool cat on your list, but seen that cirrus was there, the similarities from the style of the website for cool cat casino and cirrus are too uncanny even down to the T+C's, so i think they must definetly be related, also not to mention the fact that the email address of mine in question was only ever used for a casino once and that was for cirrus.

casinomeister, thanks for your reply, they are infact from an affiliate, and there is an unsubscribe link, however the problem is that when i have had these in the past, i click unsubscribe and then my inbox has a period of peace and then all of a sudden they start again, but from a different affiliate, so i have presumed my details have been getting passed on, i.e. cirrus has been passing on my details to its affililates, but guess what ?!! after just looking at landidars list, all the ones that have been responsible for sending me this stuff are all owned by them. however this new one is not on your list landidar

You must register/login in order to see the link.

its registered through go daddy.com, which a lot these sites seem to be.

casinomeister could you go and take a look at this site, the first ever poster on there was "virtual ted" who states that he has just come across this new forum.

on this website, prism casino and the virtual group are praised for the excellent customer service and good bonuses, where as reputable casinos such as aztec riches are called liers, thieves and cheats.

this website has to be seen to be believed, according to all the posters on this website, whenever they have played at the virtual group, they have received good bonuses, always paid out on time, have had the best customer service in the world and would never play anywhere else because of thieving scum like aztec riches.

on the question of fakes posts, casino meister have you considered the possibilty that it is happening on your forum?,i'm new to this forum, but i have a read through all of the posts on here about this group, the same people come up time and time again defending this group, posting what i would say fake wins and encouraging people to play at this group, also not to mention the similarity in styles of writing, for obvious reasons, i wont say who the names of the posters are incase i am wrong, but i can send them to you casinomeister.

as for my run in with this group, they were the first casino i ever played at (cirrus), i had seen a banner on a webpage that said "$25 free chip no deposit", i went to the website, signed up and played, and after completing the winning requirement i had about $50, as i had not put any money in at all, i decided to put in a $100 out of good faith, but didnt use a coupon code as i wanted the freedom of cashing out any time i wanted, i played with the money on and off for about a week, when i decided to cash out i was about even, i.e. down to the $100 i put in,to cut a long story short i never seen my money again :-( .

overall my gripe is no so much about the spam, but the fact i am actively being targetted for a scam as i know these people will not pay me and what is happening to me is something similar to what happened to an old lady i seen on the news recently, she was informed through regular post that she had won a prize and duly sent off the adminstration fee, only to never ever recieve her prize, she then started recieving more and more of these letters, which she foolishly replied to aswell, she now recieves about 500 letters a week from these scammers and this is what this group is basically trying to do to me,i have been ripped off once by these and dont intend to let it happen again.

i would like to say though, despite this casino, i have never had a problem being paid elsewhere, although i have had a few hiccups (i.e. documents, wagering requirements etc) along the way,but my payments have always been honoured.

My partner brought it to my attention just minutes BEFORE I read this post.
I made post at Casino Cabin telling players to BEWARE of Virtual Casino and the entire group.

Also...I just realized that Go Daddy was a Super Bowl commercial. People were pissed because it seems too risque.
Is Virtual going to following in the steps of Golden Palace in one form or another?

I too have been plagued with problems with affiliate spam. New York Casino affiliates were sending me tons of emails each day. When I would hit the 'unsubscribe' button, it was dead. I contacted the casino, received an immediate reply and apology. They asked me to send them the email complete with headers so they could investigate which affiliate was sending. If I blocked the email addy, a different affiliate email would then pop up. It seems to have stopped with NY casino.

On the other hand, I keep receiving them from Starluck. I've contacted support with complete headers and have not even received any reply from them at all. Yesterday in fact, I received 33 spams from a Starluck affiliate.

Regarding your comment on the lady that received a letter that she had won the lottery or something to that affect...that's a totally different matter altogether. That is a 419 scam and those are usually coming out of Nigeria and perpetrated by individuals. All one has to do is look at the email addy it is coming from...usually it's a yahoo or some other free email addy...that should bring up a big red light.

Hi Scrollock. I think its unlikely the casinos will have passsed on your email addres sto their affiliates as they'll know that said affiliates will try and promote other casinos to them, thus having a negative impact on CC and Cirrus.

My guess its come directly from the casino, partners thereof or a third source as yet unidentified :) I get them from time to time - Cirrus i can understand cos i once signed up to test the software, but i dont ever remember doing Cool Cat.

    Cheers

as far as STARLUCK goes there is no since in emailing them. I have sent numerous emails to them. i am also a diamond member of thier's and have yet to geta reply back on any of the emails i sent, some even get returned saying that i.p rejected my email and it is the address i was told to send it to. What i do is just call and give them hell till they give me a answer or whatever it is that i need. The customer service reps they have are the most ignorant, hard to understand, and sometime the rudest people i have ever had to deal with. I only continue to play there because of the account host i was given based on my player level with them and he has actually helped me out alot with bonuses and other problems, if you would like you can give me your email adress and i will talk to my host to see if he can do something about it. If not i wish you luck with your problem and hope you get it resolved.

Okay, I will tell you my Cool Cat Casino experience.

I was invited to be a VIP with the condition of paying date 4 days.

Well...and as you can guess they didn't pay within the promised dates.

Also, my password was changed by them without notice.

looks like this has started again!!!

latest one is from slotsofvegas and the email claims it has been sent on behalf of prism.

well the email was sent from

    paradiseplayerscasino.com

however when your at the site, the URL will change to

You must register/login in order to see the link.

all well and good so far, actually looks like reputable gambling portal as all the big names like intercasino are represented there.

now goto the forum and you will arrive at

You must register/login in order to see the link.

however if you click the link i posted some months ago in this thread

i.e. You must register/login in order to see the link.

you will find that you arrive at exactly the same site, which is the virtual, cirrus, cool cat forum.

which proves to me (not that i already didnt know this!!!) that cool cat, cirrus and prism ARE all of the same outfit and IT is them who is sending me this.

HOWEVER this does show that they have started being a bit cleverer, by opening gambling portals that not only promote their casinos, that they advertising some well know and honest casinos such as vegas partner lounge and some well known cryptos to try and give these virtual owned portals an air of legitmacy.

i would like to know what the various casino reps feel about them advertising your casinos in order to get traffic to their own sites.

i would especialy would like to hear casino from the casino action group representative, as this portal has signed up to be an affiliate of yours, while at the same time claiming that "aztec riches is run by liars and thiefs", this quote comes from the title of a thread on the forum, but you dont need to be a genius to work out that the virtual staff have made these posts.

Where is Virtual Ted?? We haven't heard from him on here in some time now (June 10th last post)
    Did he get canned?
Did Amit Jain put the muzzle on him?
Did Ted "see the light" and quit??

A good friend of mine owns a site that sponsers Virtual and a free $22 chip for anyone. If you have an account at Virtual, your account will be cleared out and you will receive the free chip to play. Naturally, new accounts are credited. I don't know nor do I care about the T&C's.
This site has not been paid a cent for the players who went back in ... made deposits ... and lost there money.
I am under the impression that we're talking thousands of dollars.
My point is Teddy Boy WAS handling this. I just read (dated today) the following:

"THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE WITH VIRTUAL DANNY WILL BE TAKING OVER FOR TED AND AS SOON AS I SHOW HIM HOW THIS WORKS HE WILL BE HERE. BUT FOR NOW I WILL TAKE ALL THE NAMES AND TURN INTO VIRTUAL TO BE CREDITED"

So it is quite possible that Teddy Boy screwed up and is out there hitting the streets of Costa Rica.
One less problem to concern myself with!

P.S. The owner of this site and I have been discussing the payment problem. The owner also knows how I feel about Virtual and what they are doing.
I am NOT involved with attempting to recover their payments.
