Phone calls - alternate email addresses?

I continue to get phone calls either trying to entice me BACK to a casino where I formerly played with offers of big bonuses ------ or I get phone calls from "Christopher D'Angelo" of Prism casino offering me same thing although I have never played at his site.

My guess is that the old site registration info is being sold or shared somehow. Generally its a site that I found out was "Rogue" status and I stopped playing there immediately upon realizing my foolishness. No bonus is worth the stress of worrying about if you will get paid or not.

Should I use a discrete email address for each casino that I join? I am thinking that it might be the way for me to determine how my email address and phone number are getting to sites I have not had any contact with.

Does posting on this forum open up my email address to "mining" by online casino people? I never played at Prive -- yet that casino keeps sending me email at the email address I use only for this forum. I am confident that Bryan and others affiliated with Casinomeister aren't selling my contact info, but I am bewildered by the # of contacts I am getting from random sites that are always in the rogue category here.

Any suggestions would be appreciated to cut down on the garbage phone calls and emails.

Thanks,
Diane

Hi Diane,

First off I find it much much easier to use 1 email for all my casino accounts and do not use my personal email Address. Its easy to sign up at Gmail or Yahoo.

Also while I doubt anyone from a casino would be sending you any emails threw your username here I noticed you do have it so members etc can email you.

If you want to turn it off go to your User cp, then on your left hand side under Setting and Options click on edit options, Scroll down to Messaging & Notification, then look for a ticked box beside = Receive Email from Other Members and un-tick it.

As for the phone calls and prive, prism etc it can come from anywhere if you are just that little bit off guard. If you sign up to a rogue casino (plenty of us have done this and learnt our lesson) which you said you had done, for the emails, you may have visited a spammy affiliate at some stage that requested/required an email.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Matt

There are a few casinos in the Prism group...
Cool Cat
Club Player
VIP Lounge
just to name 3 off the top of my head.

If you played at any in the virtual group your information from there is shared too.

Best bet, use only 1 email address for your casinos. Yahoo will filter casinos into spam unless you add them to your contact book. The same with hotmail. Not sure about any others.
