As online gambling becomes the most profitable industry in the internet nowadays, a lot of operators have already been prospecting the gaming industry for a profitable cause. In turn, licensing agencies are the one responsible to regulate its operation and yearly audit on the basis of the requirements agreed upon.

As for the biggest and latest news on the Philippine gaming industry is the emerging newly-established licensing agency called MORONG ECOZONE INC. (MEi) located at the City of Pasig. MEi is designated to contribute as the forefront infrastructure in the gaming industry for the Morong Special Economic Zone (MSEZ). It is authorized to receive applications for Interactive Gaming Licenses of all forms: casino games, sports betting, lottery games, etc., exclusively for international partnership.

Statistically speaking, profits accounted under Morong Ecozone Inc. are contributing significantly for the growing development of the Philippine local and national government. More details about Morong Ecozone Inc can be found at xwww.morongecozone.com

    iGaming in the Philippines

It is said that online casinos are legal in the Philippines, making it the lone country in Asia that licenses online casinos. And for the past couple of years, international operators only know of one particular private licensing agency in the Philippines that provides license for online games. But now, through the establishment of Morong Ecozone Inc. ,operators now have other options to where they could actually get a license for their iGaming businesses.

Here's a brief description about Morong Ecozone Inc (MEi) :

1)The company's expertise lies in the issuance of license for online games exclusively provided for international gaming operators.
2)The company has secured a License from The Morong Special Economic Zone – Main Zone (MSEZ-MZ) BTPI to operate, conduct or engage as a Master Licensor/Regulator of I-Gaming and/or e-gaming and/or online/internet/electronic/mobile interactive gaming or computer and mobile device based games of chance played via the internet and exclusively for international market.
3)The company offers high quality services that would satisfy operator's needs.
4)The company assists the operators in setting up their gaming businesses in the Philippines, ideally in Pasig City.
    5) The company recently launched their official website at xhttp://morongecozone.com

With the formation of licensing agencies in the Philippines, operators can conclude that the country is an ideal place to start their gaming business for they are assured that it is legal and is supported by legitimate companies.

    It's not that impressive really.

It's a private company operating for commercial gain, not a state regulator. This presents a serious conflict of interest that does little to protect players. The company will not terminate licenses for bad behaviour towards players if the operator is profitable for the licencing company. We see this setup in quite a few places, and it's always been bad for players.

Interestingly, the government of the Philippines doesn't think much of these companies and their regulatory regime as they forbid these companies from allowing locals to play the sites. When the government of the Philippines demonstrates that it has sufficient confidence in the licensing regime it has set up by letting locals play, then players may warm to the idea.

The UK has taken on a direct licensing and regulatory role, but unlike other jurisdictions, this is for the benefit and protection of local players, rather than for the companies to use the country as a base to service offshore players only.

Sorry to say but it does not look like there are all that many people here that follow Philippine on-line gaming. This is basically the same message you posted on Oct. 17 but thanks for the info.

You guys have a good policy on deleting posts here.
At some other forums if they don't like your spelling they delete the post.
I find it really offensive; it's like a slap in the face.

I think there was some reverse psychcology going on here. Talk about the Philippeans gaming license spammers, but believe in the principle 'all publicity is good publicity'.

It's got me talking about Philippeano gaming licenses, it must work!
