Online games development

Hello guys, Ive got question and any good answers are much appreciated and they might be also on rewards - who knows
:)

I have started a way back months ago with playing some ideas of mechanics and visuals of games, that Ive read alot from what players likes. As time was going the ideas and fun development becomes a bit more deeper than I thought. So before I jump straight to it, I want to ask a few things that might helps deciding to go for it or not.

I am in thoughts to syart actually development of 3 games with good mechanics, entertainjng base game play and a good max win caps. Themed and a bit controversial.

What I want to ask is:

I know all about VFX, gdaphics and animation, how the game will behave etc. Programming it, get tesrers for resting RNG, RTP, hit frewuencies etc. But if the game is made, done:

1. Who to contact to for licening in EU? And/or is it for each country, EU, US, ASIA, AUSTRALIA, AFRICA..etc. all separate? Basically how to fully licence it to the casinos - here comes another question.

2. How does the casinos and game developers works? I mean, if you have game, how to pitch them to casino chanis? Who to contact to, or if there is any list of publishers or agents or.. basically how, who, is getting games into casinos like you see at Tsars, Loki, Woo.. any..

3. Do the developer also developing pay/deposit gates to the game to add cash or game is provided to casino and casino deals with it? The ViSA, MASTER CARD, Mifinity..etc.?

4. Winnings, loses as far as I know are dealed with casino and deveoper gets some % of it. Thats right, right?
:)

Just checking all of these because of that is manageable, I might start with it in high level, not average and that might brings to you guys some good fun and experience, I am sure, but I want to have fun with team of people I have so any answer will be helpful.
:)

Attaching some screenshots from preview video.

Many startups begin on partnership programs with big names.

Relax Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, ReelPlay, and more offer platforms for small studios to get started and gain immediate exposure. Yggdrasil Gaming's program is called GATI

Maybe start by checking the websites and dropping a message. They will be able to give a structured approach and all the tools to realise your dreams of game design.

Licencing is done the same way as casinos I believe. You want UK exposure you need UKGC accreditation.

Thank you guys! :) Very much appreciated - more info better.
Yeah I thought to drop a messages here and there, but before to do that I wanted to see the lights of it more clearly :)
In terms of games, well, I want to and I always wanted to focus primary on base game entertainment. Playing with mechanics offering nice ways of getting wins, thrills, teases and visually attractive but not too game-ishy but more like storytelling within the themes. And that comes to mechanics as well. Example of Bad fokin neighbours - idea with alot of what to play with.
Then if bonus comes, I wat it as an advantage of base game and if superbonus then some reward and really exciting experience of even more boost-up mechanics.
Anyway, just to share some still images of ideas (pre-alphas) but preview videos are already done :) just cannot upload them here.

Congrats on getting that far. I've looked at creating my own slot game in the past but I just couldn't get my mind past all of the math involved. I'm more than capable of doing everything else though so maybe I'll go back and create something someday.

Thanks man. Well, hope you will do :)
I am creative person and also I know math but I want to hire people for it, so that part can be done. Basically the whole game, well three games I have in progress where I want to implement interesring stuff from my own experience and from audinece experience as well to hit it nicely.
Problem will start more like, when I have games done to get the right hit of peron, studio.
I like the idea of collaborate with big nems :)
Just to approach them up. Thats what I need basically and the chain casino - provider - developer :) and the paymenr options methods dealing with.

One of the moderators - @Simmo! has done exactly what you are trying to do. He created a slot from scratch, went through the whole process, and got it launched across lots of casinos. He worked with a Slot developer. He doesn't frequent the forum much these days, but you could try PM'ing him. The slot is Afterlife Inferno and he created it with Leander.

Ou thanks Neil, I will pm him as well. I have checked it out and looks nice. Thats what I want to go for. But the picture is bigger (to do a series of two, three games before lunch to have option of collect bonuses landed and use them also in other games with same +/- win cap and stats range). Anyway, alot of to share and to do, but the things are pretty big and alot of what to do.
Gonna share one video out of a few(Its in BWB forum):

Hi Degerardo.

I'm happy to share what advice I can. I've got a fair bit of experience with setting up studios and casinos - and with Malta especially. I should be able to point you in the right direction for contacts, what to consider and what to avoid.
Most recently I started Blue Guru Games which is now part of MGM.

Drop me a message if you want to chat.

All the best with it!
Andy

Regarding licensing, the process will vary depending on the jurisdiction in which the games are to be used. In the EU, obtaining a license will likely require working with local regulatory bodies, while in other regions, such as the US, Asia, Australia, and Africa, the process could be different. It might be best to research the specific requirements for each region in order to ensure that the games are fully licensed.

As for getting the games into casinos, the process typically involves working with a publisher or agent who can help pitch the games to various casino channels. There might also be lists of publishers or agents that can be reached out to for this purpose.

Thank you so much :)
Thats also very ace information.
I am in process of creating some pitches 1st and I belive that the last one I am doing (Catherdral - open world of customization the characters features) can really shake it all up in games. Its something that havent been done yet and noone came with this idea methology. Me, having possibility of fully do games, I'd go for it. I cannot upload videos in here to share it - and I really want to :) so I will just add one image in here - but alot more info and videos you can see on BWB forum / Cathedral thread.
This is one of three characters breakdown. But once I will have it all prep - I am thinking to share it up in here as well as special thread realted to it. Because its so endless in possibilities that even Your / members, players imput, ideas are welcome as for coop to well.. making something really not just click-spin, but experience in entertainment as a whole. :)
More you can read and see on BWB forum, but Ill eventually break it down to images as well :)

Those screenshots look great! Much better graphics than some developers who have been doing it for years. Nice work.

Character customisation has been touched upon. 4ThePlayer has a couple of games that offer it, maybe not quite to the depth of your design though.

Create a thread here. I don't visit that forum - too biased for my personal taste and have been personally attacked on social media by the owner. Stick in there though; they have good coverage and if you're in his good books you will get a good review.

I wish you the best of luck.

so OP, after a year or so, how are you going with your biz? this is a very informative post, I'm in the same boat just less ambitious, all I want is to sell some prototype packages to the third party, I'm not even worried about the license, I myself am industry veteran just not on the coding and math side (more on creative side) but gradually getting into these territories as I'm planning moving onto becoming an independent studio, the market is saturated for sure but I think my experience and skill can warrant me some niche space, what I want is to develop a prototype with fully fledged front end and minimal functional backend and pitch the project to the middle men (in this case third party studios), not sure if it's a better ideas to sell it directly to the operators as I'm aware they also run heap of smaller studios.

I have been trying to get scarce info bit by bit from here and there until I stumble across this forum and particularly this post, that being said, this industry is never too transparent, even being working directly in this industry for very long (both land based and online) a lot of parts of development are still a total black box to me.

so to begin with, what I'd like to know first, is the tool chain/stack for developing the front and back end, since my current main focus is the front-end (my forte are the visual and creative part plus I know a few game designs and math that stand the test of time and be very popular), what do you use to develop the front end if OP or anyone are generous enough to shed some light;

so here are my picks on the front end game engine, would like to get some insights
1. Godot, I know 4.0 is being crippled by the current HTML export implementation, 4.3 beta brings some hope, but still the export size is not optimal

2. defold, defold's license wouldn't allow code audit so even though I'm developing a prototype I'd still steer clear of it

3. PIXI, I'm aware a lot of home brew engines are based on it but to develop purely on PIXI seems to be a pain in the butt

4. Phaser, they have a newly developed designer but not sure about their subscription model, it's still too early to tell

I would like to throw these questions out first, but if you would like to share more info with me, I'd truly appreciate, it's being difficult and challenging to me to kick start, feel a bit clueless and frustrating.

I only just saw this thread now too, thanks to someone above resurrecting this thread.

I would also love to know how he is getting on as well?

[maxd says: @Anton_A , if you could explain why you are quoting text that appears to be of your own creation that would be much appreciated. Otherwise we may have to assume you are the bot that your post certainly indicated you are.]

I had a bit of a gander on the forum mentioned in some posts.

They are still actively posting about their game up to this month and have been continuing to iterate on existing prototypes and some new ones. Appears to be in discussions with certain people in the industry and hinted that its possible the games might be able to be played eventually.

Looks like the games UI has pivoted to a more vertical, phone screen format, possibly due to the people he is in discussions with. Similar scaling/vertical form factor that PG Soft uses.

Lots of inspiration from NLC and BTG and the work looks even more impressive than the stuff in this thread.

They are still active on CM but unfortunately haven't been posting here regarding updates on their progress.

Hya guys! :)
Yeah, thank you for this and for all the support and comments. Ive been more active on BWB forum, because it all started sort of say there. But, I am also here and there active in here as well!
I don't know where to start with the updates tbh :) Alot of things are happening at the same time.
1st , I am much more involved into igaming and games-making that I've ever been. Understanding the development much more into details, but also getting to know people in the industry. Even one amazing collaboration happened between me and Print Studios. I was fortunate to make for them teaser trailer for Dreadworks game:
All by myself with the fantastic Print team support of assets and chats, calls etc. Just absolute fantastic work! :)
I have also meet and team up with one of the high profile guys behind one of the most popular games made and we are having meetings, talks, calls etc. We have 5 fantastic mockups made and ready to go with them, to share a secret. And they are games with visuals, mechanics and such a new features and live data stats, that Im very surprise no-one even thought about.

Long story short, we are still in extensive deals, talks and chats to find the best deals and partners, but it's not as easy as someone would thought.
If we want to do an IP, bring something totally extra, entertainment, thrill, long-live plays, making the products that will stand out and possibly features that might shift the industry and players experience into another nice level, we need a proper production. I, We, don't want to just make games, just to make them and they will get score 4, or 5 out of 10 and be stamped as low or average and be forgotten next morning. But I want to make games from creative point of view, players point of view, that will really be - like @mulven have mentioned, a very good mix of BTG, NLC, but not as any copy, it just happened that those two have each something just right off my street. They will be different, pushing the visuals and function, features into another level, but... with it's own IP and style.
- now, to do such a big thing and what I want to deliver, requires alot of work, alot of good people, resources, then testings, engines, servers, platforms, actual work itself, best math balance, etc etc that I/We need a proper budget investments. We are on it, having meetings etc, but it just takes time. It's not easy, but I'm now as close as I cloud ever dream of. Not there yet, but things are moving guys! :)
Things are moving! :) And for sure, BWB and CM are the 1st to share any rock solid updates, I will have!!!
Love CM and BWB! I should share some thing from one of the games called Sanatroium!
Here is a FEATURE SHEET which visually looks much much better now :) (Puzzle reels bonus rounds are under hood for it's own IP/TM purposes). :)

thanks for following up, although I would like to hear more I appreciate your getting back to us nonetheless, being curious, what's that BWB forum you mentioned? I want to get involved in slot making business but lack any business oriented insights and in difficulty of finding any helpful communities (this subforum being the only one)

Bigwinboard, it's an affiliate site. Not sure if it started out as a place to share big wins but it's evolved into a big profitable affiliate pushing site with a focus on slot reviews.

So it's not exactly a slot making forum, moreso a place where some people who like slots congregated

Yeah. BWB is more of the review site, but also fantastic community and dorect acrion from providers and insides. So a pretty good place to discuss all sort of things. Also it did envolved into quite large scale, to not to be only review site anymore. :)
Love ot there and love it here. Only two forums, where I engage. More there a bit, because Ive started it all there, but I will try to be more proactive here from now on. Sharing some cool ideas etc. The only good thing there is over here, is the images uploads and how they are shown. Here ilthey are as attachments, not as direct images when you list the thread. Or at least I dont know how to make them to be as images and not thumbnails attachments :) that will be fantastic. Also people want to see straight the images, not to click to attachments first :)
