since we're in politically incorrect, i'd like to make an argument here. first of all, that joke is dumb and not worth posting since everyone has heard it in some form or another anyways, and even if you're only casually acquainted with the notion of racism the punchline is quite easy to guess. in no way am i saying this joke has a right to be posted and exist here on the forum.
but i wonder if the n-bomb alone is ban-worthy. because it should not be. it needn't be said that members of the group to which terms refer can use the words in a positive fashion to each other, and even when talking with friends of other races. arguably, and a classic example is in malibu's most wanted, members of other races who do not use the term in a hateful manner feel justified to use the word as well.
penn and teller also argue that words only become loaded with values at some people's insistance. the word "humbug", once on par with fuck and shit, now is archaic and is more akin to darn or phooey. it seems that since the heyday of the n-word, it has also dropped its intrinsic vulgarity/negativity, and indeed become embraced by many as having a neutral or even a positive familiar connotation. and babying a word by catching your tongue and saying "fu-dge" or "fu'cryin out loud" or shortening bullshit to BS or using stars/symbols in text, the vulgarity and emotional charge is still carried within the expression.
one woman on the penn and teller episode who believed in banning all curse words sells signs with a bull shitting and the universal "don't" red circle with slash, to represent displeasure for swearing, however the piece itself evokes the word "bullshit" by its nature. and she also advocates taking the non-christian gods' names in vain to avoid insulting her own. also instead of fuck she says to say santa vaca (because it is powerful with hard gutteral sounds), but this phrase equates to spanish for "holy cow" which itself is a religious slur against islam. also we can think of the seinfeld episode where the black sprinter endearingly calls a woman's baby a "cute little son of a bitch", having heard that phrase earlier and mistaken it for a cultural expression of familiarity. also imagine someone like borat hitting on a girl by asking "you very nice, big chest, want fuck?" he is not trying to be rude but just attempting to use the right words for the situation considering his command of the language.
i have black friends, and i will freely throw out the word black or jew even though some people may not approve. i will say oh my god if i want. the black kids i know will use the n-word around me, and i have used it on occasion with them, because when i said it, it clearly was not in an offensive manner. the joke posted here obviously has no good reason to have been posted and does no good whatever, but think about if the n-word was banned from rap music. think of all the good music that would not have been created or at best would be ruined by the censorship on their form of expression.
i even can enjoy a racist joke shared between friends, but discretion is the key. i can laugh at the joke, but only because the idea is humourous and the stereotype often exaggerated. in fact, aki, a first generation canadian whose parents immigrated from eritrea, with whom i worked, told me some of the funniest black racist jokes i ever heard. just use discretion, don't use taboo terms unless it is clear that the intention is non-aggressive, and quite clear that its use will not ignite outcry, such as it has here because anyone here might read it and take it as a promotion of hate. i even had one black kid at my work who would sneak up near workers and whisper "the [n-bomb]s are coming", clearly evoking a feeling that the term was meant negatively. words only have as much power as you give them.
i hope there comes a day when prejudice is eliminated from this world, because nothing but a man's character should determine your views of him, and even then a second chance or a turning of the cheek is often in order because not all wicked actions are done by wicked people. i notice the op is from sweden; it may be that he does not realize the significance of using that word, or that he was somehow taught to translate it that way.
i'm just rambling now surely, but i did make some points and hope that free speech is not limited, i know we can cuss (uncensored) all we want here and that could possibly offend some readers who unwittingly come upon it. the words themselves do not contain the hate, and those that would speak words charged with hate can use any words to get the same evil point across. anyways sorry if digging this up will bring up any "bad feelings" to anyone who reads the horrible joke, but i just wanted to spark a debate, and since this is the politically incorrect section, why the fuck not? anyone who responds, i encourage you to give your feelings on the word "cunt", also since the word "twat" came into play in a casino thread recently... good day, i'm off to the falls this afternoon. bj tourney at casino niagara at 6pm, who's comin?

i'll post up this weekend in a more traditional section about my experience if anything's noteworthy.
