OMG QuickTender, THAT'S NOT MY CREDIT CARD!!!

This is absolutely amazing. I don't use QT, never have - and probably never will after reading this. I understand that mistakes happen, and I even kinda understand them locking an account until it gets sorted. If it DOES get sorted. Within a reasonable time frame. Without being compounded by more and more mistakes/delays/stupidity.

QT's like the only way US players can cash out and get our hands on the dough in less than a month, cept for "3-you-know-who". (And keep that on the DL, please!)

This monogamous relationship with QT is tantamount to being escorted to the zoo, having the monkeys pointed out to me and then being informed that, as I observe them plaster each other, themselves and anybody else not paying close attention, in monkey-s**t, "These guys really are your best bet for WDs for US players."

A few days before this happened, I had some big WDs pending for QT. I opend my QT account to change my registered email from Windows Live ( Hotmail :puke:) to Gmail. But my QT account got suspended, then, to cofirm my wish to switch email services, QT started all these questions that can only be answered with access to my QT account. And the reason for the desired change is that computer generated emails like the one trying to send my new password from QT don't get through to recipients at Hotmail, Yahoo, et al. So that's why I didn't want QT to mess with my log in info after gettin dude's card outta my account (where it, actually, did less harm and caused less confusion that QT has just about every minute since I reported the "alien" card).

We have just reset your password and sent to your email addess (bernynhel's email as reg'd with QT).com...

The problem with Hotmail, Yahoo and some of the other email providers, is that they let human generated emails, like the one I am replying in, through to their intended destinations but censor others because they mistake them for spam.
(M-kay, ANDE52181? This ain't my first rodeo, y'know!) This would include the email containing my new password which you have announced in the email (below) to which I am replying as well as the many new passwords I obviously generated, that never made it here, even though the software claimed success with your Password Retrieval System (PRS). Because if your PRS is working to your satisfaction, then Hotmail just isn't interested in whatever your "new-random-password-generator" or whatever - the "business end" of your PRS, generated for emailing to me. This is why I tried to change my default email as registered with QT from (hotmail) to (gmail) a short while ago. There are no settings to adjust for Yahoo and Hotmail or Windows Live email to allow these emails through.

So, as much as it is QT's policy to keep sending me randomly generated emails or to instruct me to submit to the agonizing horrors of your Password Retrieval System, may I suggest, if you must, send an email similar to the one you mentioned, below, but send it to yourself and then forward it to me here so that I may benefit by its creation, too. Or, better yet, simply reset my old password and let me know when it's done and I'll go log in and change it. Or still better yet, change the email address I registered with QuickTender from (hotmail) to the (gmail)

For verification purposes:

It is a problem inherent to Hotmail. Insisting on sending emails of this nature to this email address is not an option.

Please set my password to what it was earlier or else send new log in info to me at my Gmail address. - wjb

This may be a stupid question Bern but did you check your spam folder?

I've had some emails get through to my inbox and some get flagged by my spam folder. This even after adding all QT contact email address' to my address book. The site is just poorly run, plain and simple IMO.

I'm heading to the bank first thing in the morning and initiating a chargeback for both amounts. I haven't decided on what I'm going to tell the bank customer service representative as to why I waited so long to dispute the $210 charge yet. I feel wrong doing it because they did reimburse me for the $210, but seeing as they don't want to answer my emails, screw them. I'm also going to see if I can get the $45 overlimit fee reversed and my interest rate reset to its original % before this whole mess.

I still haven't heard from QT security after 3 emails following their email response saying they closed my account for undisclosed reason(s). Best part is that at the end of that email it says to contact QT Security if you have any questions. LOL, well I do have questions but they won't respond. They are just unresponsive to my questions because they have no leg to stand on and are wrong. FML.

You didn't like my "spiritual donations" lil white fib? Widdle, fibby wibby? Can't say I blame you. I felt like a total ass runnin all that drag...but they quit asking questions like shutting off a spigot! Good luck with that and your bank!! Tell 'em you're making time payments on bulk wart-removal! Yeah!! That's the ticket!!

OK, QT finallly figured out I was trying to tell them that the password reset and bot-generated email wasn't gonna get to me at Hotmail and sent me an email with a reset pw and I'm back in my QT account.

And it only took 6 day to access my account again,

5 days to get a call from QT Security, AND they tried sending bot-gen reset log in info to my Hotmail because I registered it @ QT.

Nevermind that they don't even know Hotmail (and Yahoo) bounces most inbound email that's not of human origin and I'm re-runnin lost password on the log in page for I realize their bot junk wont get on Hotmail, and that

I had tried to switch to Gmail before any a this even happened but they asked stupid questions after they blocked my access and I needed my account open to answer right .


...but, remember, I found someone else's cc listed in my account that was no threat to me and all they hadda do from the gate was remove it and not disrupt my service!

oh well at least you got it sorted, but I'm still curious who the other guy was - was it just a QT database error or was he the guy who ripped you off? I suppose if he was the one who ripped you off he wouldn't have added his own CC#, right? errr...if it WAS his own CC# that is.

You HAVE to do a chargeback, and then when QT says "why the hell did you do a chargeback on us" you show them this email you just showed us. They told you to do it.....at this point we would advise to contact your credit card issuer to inform them about the unauthorized charges

And no they wont chargeback that other $210 you were reimbursed. I did my chargeback and they only chargedback the amount I was inquiring about, not one other deposit, I believe my bank asked, and I said it was just the last transaction. QT told me to do a chargeback, I did, then they cried....so I showed them the email, then they were fine.

I DID however have to have my CC cancelled because of this, my bank asked what QT was, I told them it was like paypal...lol..but you can say whatever you want, because if you look up QT on google it says EXACTLY what it is.

So it's either do a chargeback and get your bank involved....OR eat the money you lost...it's your call.

If they call this, send them another email next week along the lines "yesterday, I lodged a formal dispute with my bank for the $370 charge you were unable to trace at your end, my bank will now be dealing with it"


He is still screwed, as without QT, it would be hard to receive winnings.

QT may eventually be shut down by the US authorities anyway, because there is likely to be another "sting" operation or two, since the authorities must be aware they have not shut down all the offshore processors they want to.

That's wrong...QT told me the exact same thing, and as soon as I did a chargeback they found the transaction they couldn't find before. :rolleyes:

This may happen, but it seems to be the only way to make them see sense. They clearly didn't look PROPERLY the first time, so it is THEIR FAULT if it takes a chargeback request to identify these errant transactions.

Every time QT screw up like this, they make it more likely the banks will investigate more deeply, as it will come to their attention that this particular descriptor generates too many complaints of "goods/service not received" from customers. Once they find out these descriptors are for gambling transactions, they will get blocked, and QT will have to find new processors.

When he came back he informed me that this descriptor had been flagged, for what reasons he wouldn't tell me, if he even knew, but that my chargeback would be initiated within 3-5 business days. The bank rep. than proceeded to tell me that because of the nature of these transactions, I assume he meant gambling because he didn't ask me what they were for or if I knew the company, that my account wouldn't be credited until the bank received the funds from the merchant.

He went on to explain to me that there is a good possibility that I won't receive reimbursement for these transactions if the merchant on the other end claims I received a service from them. He stated that this protects me from liability for any future charges QT may initiate on my account which won't happen because I have already cancelled the card.

So basically, I'm screwed. He provided me with two prinouts from their end showing the transactions being completed and transfered. This is the same prinouts I got last week. He told me to send them to the merchant and see what their response was.

Bottom line, it looks like I won't be seeing my money and QT has pulled a quick one. I wonder how many people they do this to a year?

Like me, a lot of people have more than one account for certain things, I keep a low amount in one of my bank accounts (checking) for online stuff.

Just like a savings account, how many people have more than one? We do.

This account I use mainly for online gambling other than a few charges here and there. The savings/checking account connected to this credit card can't be used by using this CC, I have a separate Debit card for that.

I have a separate bank account with a local credit union for my direct deposit for work, mortgage payments, car payments, etc..."It's not my first rodeo!" :lolup:

I wonder what QT will say to your bank? The bank clearly know there is something "dodgy" about this descriptor, but maybe this is because they have traced it to the middle east, not necessarily because they know for certain it is gambling.
If pressed, you can show the $370 didn't turn up in your QT account, and you can tell the bank QT is simply an online wallet that acts as a third party for online transactions, and that they claim not being able to trace the $370 at their end. You can even show the bank the email they sent you, since there is no mention of gambling in it.

If QT keep screwing US players this way, more banks will become aware that this descriptor is flagged for constantly doing this, and the banks may decide to start blocking it because of the trouble it causes their customers.

I opened an account to receive QuickTender WDs but that account is purged within minutes, whenever possible, of receiving QTs transfer. I have never involved my bank nor any of my credit cards in an online transaction. I always thought that anything I ever did online and my bank just didn't need to be introduced to each other. You guys are lucky. I'd rather keep my luck available for the games. Why I don't take the most convenient parking space available to me at casinos.

If you register a credit card with QuickTender in your list of cards you use for funding your account and that credit card account is already registered as a funding method in another QuickTender user's account, the moment you hit "enter" after finishing filling in the last field of required data on that card, your account and the other user 's account immediately lock and after that neither of the QuckTender account holders/credit card account holders can use that credit card to fund their QT accounts, again. This gag-reflex is programmed into QT's software, is automatic, irreversible, and occurs without any warning, whatsoever, to the second person who is registering the card to their account. QT's "no duplicate card policy" ignores the commonality of multiple signers on a credit card account.

"So," you might be wondering, "why does QT allow the registration of a credit card a second time once that card's number is already in their system?" I don't even think QT knows why. I think someone thought it was a good idea when they were listing what they wanted in their software and never mind that 99.9999% of these occurrences are from legitimate, multiple, cc users, it's there and so there it is.

Oh, by the way, this dealio occurred to me with a card I shared with someone. That was back in April. QT knows that that issue was sorted out back in April. I only accessed my QT account to reset my password the other day after, finally, the lock was removed over the dealio in this thread. So I've been unable to use my QT account since the start of this thread. Over nothing!

Well this morning, I had a withdrawal from my bank account for $300. I instantly contacted my bank and froze my bank account. Guess who the company was????? Wait for it.....QT!

This is outta control, now they owe me $670! Somethings gotta be done.

It's not my bank. QT somehow initiated an echeck or wire withdrawal from my bank account. Has nothing to do with my bank. I have to now fill out another 'unauthorized charge form' at my bank, pay to have it notarized and hope my bank recoups the money. Obviously I had my checking/savings account number changed. I didn't think QT would be able to do this, but they did. I also had the bank put a block on this merchant just in case. The bank told me this would take 2-3 business days to take effect but that since I had my checking/savings account number changed I should be ok.

This has been a nightmare to say the least.
